Summary:

We were able to hear the history of the English Language. It started with the started with
the arrival of three Germanic tribes who invaded Britain during the 5th century namely the
Angles, the Saxons and the Jutes. It was subdivided into three periods Old English, Middle
English and Modern English which comprises the Early Modern English and Late Modern
English. The Old English was being spoken by the invading Germanic tribes. In the Middle
English, there was a linguistic class division in France, where the lower classes spoke English
and the upper classes spoke French. In the Early Modern English, the invention of printing led
to the standardization of the English Language. As times went by, English language have
enriched its vocabulary and adopted more foreign words from various countries.
English language plays a vital role in our everyday life. It is said to be the language of
media, science and technology, commerce, computers, publishing and international negotiation.
It is indeed the universal language wherein everyone expresses in one voice and dances
through rhythm.
English evolved from time to time. Every changes or evolution added significance to its
use. From tribes to the modern times, this language played a major role to the progress of the
society. It may be oral or written, we still cant deny that English language continue to take on
advancements that will definitely bring positive feedbacks to us. It may not be fully learned by
some parts of the world, there will come a time that people can come together, voicing out their
idealisms, feelings and opinions and united by the English Language.
