SAP Request Application

: Tech. Lead/Manager

:
Apr 2013 May 2015

Project Overview:
This application was built as a supplement to the SAP Approval process in
regard to handling charges against Invoices, Trips and Requisitions. The
customers were looking to have a streamlined way of directing the Reviewers
back into SAP that did not require them to regularly log in, scroll through lists
and before taking action on submitted requests. We created a one step
process where designated Reviewers will receive notifications via email and
allow them to either hit an Approve or Reject option directly in their mail
without having to log in to SAP. After taking Action, the Subject field of the
emails will be marked with either Approved or Rejected with a date and time
stamp of when they had taken action. The Reviewers can now easily
determine which records still require attention. The SAP Requests Lotus
Notes database parses incoming mail from SAP to generate emails to
Approvers for reimbursement of Travel, Requisition and Invoice requests
submitted through SAP. Approvers review and can either approves or rejects
submissions by using the Approve/Reject buttons contained within their
email. This action in turn reaches back into the database and updates the
appropriate record.
The responses are captured in the application record
and the results of all reviewed submissions are FTPed back to SAP for further
processing.
