Some applicants are entitled to a fee reduction because
they have paid a contribution of NZ$92 for settlement
services as part of a previous application fee.
No one is entitled to more than one NZ$92 fee reduction
on a single application.
Residence applications
The residence application fee is reduced by NZ$92 if the
applicant has, since 1 July 2003, paid the fee for a work
visa under these instructions:
Entrepreneur Work Visa (or long term business visa)
Work Partnership/Work to Residence: Talent
(Accredited Employers), Talent (Arts, Culture, and
Sports), or Long Term Skill Shortage List.
The NZ$92 discount does not apply to applications for
a permanent resident visa or a second or subsequent
resident visa.
Samoan citizens
A NZ$92 reduction applies to some Samoan citizens
because of an agreement between the governments of
New Zealand and Samoa.
The residence application fee is reduced by NZ$92 if the
applicant is a citizen of Samoa, except for applications
under the Samoan Quota Scheme.
The application fee is reduced by NZ$92 if the applicant
is a Samoan citizen making a work visa application under
Work Partnership instructions, Entrepreneur Work Visa,
Work to Residence Talent (Accredited Employers), Talent
(Arts, Culture, and Sports), and Long Term Skill Shortage
List.
No one is entitled to more than one NZ$92 fee reduction
on a single application.
Fijian citizens
The prescribed fee is not payable by a Fijian citizen who
applies for a transit visa.
