representatives can get elected with small amounts of public support, as the size
of the winning margin is irrelevant: what matters is only that they get more votes
than other candidates.
The possible problems and or disadvantages of manual voting and the advantages
of computer-based voting stated above gave an idea to the researchers to conduct
the study. Through this computer-based voting system, the voting process will
become faster, easier and most of all, it will have a better accurate result.
Objectives
This study aims to develop a computer-based voting system for the
election of SSG in the school of Casa del Nino Jesus de Lucban especially, this
study aim to:
1. To develop a computer based system for the school.
2. To initialize and perform a mock election using the system
versus a manual voting.
3. To evaluate the level and acceptability of computer based
voting system in terms of:
a. Efficiency
b. Graphical User Interface
c. Reliability
d. Usability
This study have been helpful to study of Casa del Nino Jesus de Lucban in
facilitating an SSG election.
It is also benefit the school in terms of establishing a system for election
among other educational institution in the area.
It gives convenience to the study and especially to the facilitators in terms
of time consumption and hassles.
Definition of Terms
For the better understanding of this research, the following terms are
defined conceptually.
Automated automatic and/or computerized operation.
Vote give or register a vote.
COMELEC Commission on Election
SAES Smartmatic Auditable Election System
Computer an electronic device for storing and processing data, typically in
binary form, according to instructions given to it in a variable program.

METHODOLOGY
Research Locale
11
This study will use the developmental and quantitative types of research
wherein researchers will develop a computer-based voting system and its
acceptability and its been held in Casa del Nio Jesus de Lucban
Sources of Data
Twenty six percent (26%) of the population of every grade levels in the
study area was considered by the researchers due to lessen the number of students
to be excused from their respective classes. The computed population sample was
drawn randomly using draw lots. Their names was placed in a fish bowl and piece
and papers of their names written on it was drawn individually until the divided
number of respondents were drawn.
12
Research Instrument
The researchers have been developed a system for computer-based voting
for the SSG election in Casa Del Nino Jesus De Lucban. This study have been
developed set of questions to evaluate the efficiency to the system, to be answer
by the respondents.
13
Statistical Treatment
To determine the acceptability of the program, a four-point scale
used as it was used by (Asis, Garcia and Garin and their study (2013).

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION, AND RECOMMENDATIONS
38
SUMMARY
The school commelec is the one who is in charge for the school election
for SSG or student supreme government which is held every year and they have
the power to create the better future which may include manual voting, counting
of votes, recording and announcement the winner. The commelec in Casa Del
Nio Jesus De Lucban functions in it usual purpose; nevertheless, still associated
in paper transactions and record of the held election. The commelec arrange a
manual election and manual voting and manual counting of votes most f the
students use school official ballot to vote and most of the records for the election
is are piled up filing cabinets using much office space. A more convenient is
computerized base voting system why because of the technology now we can go
automated it can easily save time, money energy and effort. This research is made
to help the school have a more highly acceptable user friendly voting system by
creating Computerized Based Voting System. A lot of man power is needed when
you are making a manual voting and it takes a 28.44 minutes for voting and 39.39
minutes for counting the votes and realising the winner of election. If you are
using a Computer Based Voting System It reduces the man power and only takes
11:91 minutes to vote and count the winner. This will create an accessible and
non-time consuming of taking votes and counting of votes among the commelec.
Our respondents are school class officer.
39
This study aims to present, develop, and determine, the Computerized Based
Voting System
1. To develop a computer base system for the school.
2. To utilize and perform a Mac election using the system.
3. To evaluate the level and acceptability of computer based
voting system in terms of:
a. Efficiency
b. Graphical User Interface
c. Reliability
d. Usability
Findings
40
The interface is simple and attractive the weighted mean is 3.47 and that
means that is highly acceptable. The users like the simpleness of the website and
the design of the website. The background color and design are appropriate the
weighted mean is 3.25 and It is highly acceptable. The background of the website
is plane white and concept of simpleness and the design is simple but attract the
eyes of the user. The website font is Legible the weighted mean is the 3.64 and It
is highly acceptable. The website font is easily can see. The menus are properly
organized the weighted mean is 3.53 and It is highly acceptable. The user are not
confuse and understand the website. The features are distinctively and clearly
stated the mean of weighted mean is 3.56 and It is highly acceptable. The user like
the features and not confuse of the webpage.
Reliability
41
Usability
The website can be manage easily the weighted mean is 3.86 and It
is highly acceptable. The web site can manage easily by the user and not
be confuse. The website can be used eve if the user doesnt have technical
expertise the weighted mean is 3.56 and It is highly acceptable. The
website is user friendly because It only use basic keys and it can be easily
use by anyone. The website is user friendly; if the word link/icons can be
easily determiner the weighted mean is 3.69 and it is highly acceptable.
The word link and icon is easy to use and to understand. The program
42
function can be determined by the user the weighted mean is 3.61 and it is
highly acceptable. The website program can determine by the user and
easy to understand. The program can be navigate ease by the user and the
weighted mean is 3.36 and its highly acceptable. The website program is
easy to locate if there some malfunction of the website.
Conclusion
Based on the findings, the following conclusions were drawn:
1. The researcher successfully develop a Computerized Based Voting
system for the school and known that it takes a just 11:29 minutes and
the manual voting takes 11:44 minutes and the counting takes 39:39
minutes.
2. The researcher successfully utilize and perform a Mac election using
the system and the result is the users or the testers are happy of the
website and content of the result.
3. The researchers evaluate the level and acceptability of the Computer
Based Voting System In terms of efficiency, graphical users interface,
realiability, and usability and the result is unexpected because its
Highly acceptable to the users or testers.
43
Recommendations
In the light of the findings and conclusions, the following recommendation
are therefore offered:
1. Further improvement of the website design like the log-in page make it
more
Appealing to the users and Entertainment may also be added.
2. Hope it can also access the website in public site like computer shop
or a personal computer so we can stay updated even if we are out of
school.
3. Strengthen the website security for the school safe and clean election.
4. Improve the website background of the website so the testers can be
easily attract by design
5. Set a picture of the candidates when the users are voting the election.
6. We can recommend that it may be also used in the elementary
department.
7. Improve the graphical interface of the website.
