According to AECT (2007), educational technology involves complex and

integrated process which involves people, ideas, organization, procedures and devices
for analysing problems and devising, implementing, evaluating and managing solutions
to the problems related to human learning. In these sense, EducTech consists of the
designs and environments around the learners. (Johanssen et al., 1999).
2. Using the three concentric circles given, show that educational technology are much
broader than educational media and technology integration.

Educational technology on the bigger sense covers the systematic application of

the methods and procedures in education. This include curriculum instructional design,
learning environment and theories in learning and teaching.
3. Differentiate education technology from education in education by the help of the
arrows. The direction of the arrows suggests that they differ.

Technology in Education in essence is the application of teaching technologies in

operation of the day-to-day operations of the classroom, the school or educational
institution as a whole. Moreove, it means using learning technologies to introduce,
reinforce, supplement and extend skills. (Williams, 2000) In contrast with the
educational technological, EducTech, it is made up of all the organized effert to
implement the theory as explained by Johanssen et al. (1999).

4. Are chalkboards and bulletin boards and other traditional learning equipment also
included in the term educational technology?
Yes, chalkboard and bulletin boards and other traditional learning equipment are
part of instructional technology which is part of educational technology. These are
considered as channels or avenues for communication between the teacher and the
learner.
