WORK EXPERIENCE
2012-13
Contributed to the curriculum teaching students aged 14-17 maths and computer
applications
Developed an after school programme sourcing inspirational speakers and providing a
number of project challenges with prizes to encourage pupils to consider engineering as a
long term career
Coached the 11-15s football team at the weekends emphasising personal responsibility,
good nutrition and the avoidance of harmful substances. The team reached the final of the
state under 16s football tournament.

Youth leader
Worked with young people aged 12-17 encouraging them to be active in church life through
music, drama and worship leading.
Taught bass guitar and drums to worship band members.
Conducted Bible studies with the young people looking at issues which affect their day to
day lives.

IT: Experienced in all Microsoft applications, PIPESIM, HYSYS and Autocad for industrial drawings.
Communication: Highly developed through experience as a maintenance engineer, youth leader and
intern providing oral and verbal reports to senior management, conducting youth groups and issuing
clear and concise instructions to maintenance crews.
Business awareness: Gained an excellent understanding of the oil and gas sector and issues
currently affecting oilfield production through experience with the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation as well as while undertaking the Masters programme in Energy Futures in Aberdeen.
Technical: In addition to the creation of industrial drawings and specifications using an engineering
design toolkit, have undertaken offshore survival training, electrical instrumentation and control training,
fire training and health and safety in the workplace.
Teamwork: Essential to work as an industrial trainee with Exonnmobil where I worked with a multidisciplinary team responsible for the effective running of a major onshore production plant as well as in
team projects and presentations throughout my university career.
Problem solving: Experienced in providing technical solutions during my Masters dissertation and
while a Maintenance Engineer with the NNPC where mechanical difficulties had to be addressed
quickly and effectively to prevent installation downtime.
