I am pleased to present to you my resume for consideration for the kindergarten teaching
position at Sharpsburg Elementary School. I am a recent graduate of Frostburg State
University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I have a
very strong desire to provide all students with an excellent education and feel that my
student teaching experience and enthusiasm will contribute to the quality education your
school provides. Given my solid, exemplary academic achievements in elementary
education and sincere interest and passion in instruction, I believe that I am an excellent
fit. Please consider the following highlights from my resume.
My passion for teaching young children began eight years ago after developing my own
competitive cheerleading and dance organization alongside my sister, housing seven
different teams. As a head coach for the organization, I learned how to teach children of
all ages. My personal teams consist of athletes ages 6-9 and another group ages 10-14. I
learned the importance of teaching each child as an individual case to meet their basic
needs. I also learned how to properly encourage children, promote teamwork and
cooperation, and how to build self-confidence and motivation. With this experience I
found personal growth with organization, dedication, responsibility, trustworthiness, and
punctuality. Through my coaching journey, I found my true passion of teaching young
children and am looking forward to pursuing my dreams as an elementary school teacher.
I firmly believe that all students have the ability to succeed with the appropriate
experiences in the classroom. Each students needs must be met by providing an
individualized plan per student. I strongly believe that students should be actively
engaged in each lesson and truly enjoy their learning experiences. I thrive in challenging
and collaborative environments, and it is these qualities that attract me to a teaching
career at Sharpsburg Elementary School. Throughout my student career at Frostburg
State University, I maintained a 4.0 grade point average and received excellent feedback

visionary, results-driven educator, my goal is to inspire young students to succeed while
forming relationships with their parents, and my colleagues, to achieve the school's
goals. In fact, my desire to exceed expectations is evidenced by my performance as a
student teacher at Smithsburg Elementary and Ruth Ann Monroe Primary School. I
gained valuable experience and expertise through these opportunities and would be
honored to be a first-year teacher at Sharpsburg Elementary School.
