The meeting was Chaired by Amy Carruthers who welcomed the gathering.

OBVNF Forum application

Minutes:
Briefing on the councils IDM on the neighbourhood forum application;
Decision due to be made by 27th July as informed by Juliet Seymour of Southwark council.
Some concerns on the length of the forums name and desire to shorten to

Old Bermondsey Forum (OBF) for ease of use.

Minutes:
Discussion on possibilities to improve website. Suggestion about using a map allowing
people to comment on the map what they like and what they dont like about the area.

Publicity and promotion

Minutes:
Juliet Seymour of Southwark has agreed to send out OBFs promotion leaflets along with
the New Southwark Plans area vision informal consultation due to run from October
to February. Leaflet matter and design to be discussed in future meetings.

Funding application
Minutes:
The first step of applying to mycommunity.org.uk is to express interest for a funding. We
have now received a direct link to apply for the funding. Link is forwarded to the Chair
for allocation to a member to collect the relevant information necessary to complete the
process. It is agreed that the process is probably not very friendly/ straight forward and
the funding/grant itself comes with several limitations and time constraints.

Structure of a Neighbourhood Plan

Minutes:
Discussion on various issues faced by residents and businesses in the area. The Chair
took note of the issues raised and concluded that they needed to be defined under
broader headings more in line with the Southwark Plan. The headings, issues and draft
questionnaire will be sent in forthcoming OBF mailouts to all email subscribers (in excess
of 700 people).
