AMERICA, NATION OF INCARCERATION

The United States has about 5 percent of the worlds population, but has about 25 percent
of the worlds prisoners.

The United States incarcerates more people than any other country on planet Earth. In
1971, it was reported that 40,000 prisoners were incarcerated because they were involved
in the war on drugs. As of 2011, more than half a million prisoners are doing time for drug
use. There is not any specific race that uses drugs more than the other, but African Americans are convicted of this crime more than any others.

The average cost of a single prisoner in 2015 for all 50 states was $31,307. In Ohio, the
average cost per year is $60,225. This money comes out of the pockets of citizens in the
U.S., causing a rise in taxes. This issue has caused instability in the economy leading to
the passing of significant sentencing reform legislations from several states.

To try and prevent the population of N.Y.s prisoners from rising any higher, the state
placed beefed- up policemen in the corners of high-crime areas. As result of the experiment, the prison population dropped about 13,000 inmates; thats almost 20 percent. The
rate of crime also dropped by 30 percent.

If this were to happen everywhere, and crime dropped to make the United States a safer
place, would you consider it a decline in the beginning of our epidemic in incarceration?

TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT

On Feb. 29, 2016, a 14-year-old student, Austin Hancock, opened fire at
Madison Junior/Senior High School,
in the cafeteria. The student entered
the school cafeteria and shot two students, but four students were injured.
The students shot were Cameron Smith
and Cooper Caffrey. They both were on
the school wrestling team. All the students were friends.
The school and police officers wouldnt
let the children out of the school until
they cleared the area and caught the
shooter. The 14-year-old boy threw the
gun and they had to find it. He now

faces two counts of attempted murder

and two counts of assault.
The parents stood outside the school
hoping their children werent hurt and
they joined hands and prayed. This
happened in Butler County, which is
close to Meadowdale High School.
On Feb. 27, 2012, T.J. Lane walked up
to a table in the cafeteria of Chardon
High School, in Chardon, Ohio, with
a .22-caliber gun and pumped 10
rounds at students he picked randomly. The officers think that the two
shootings are related.

Leading others is a big load to carry. You need to be able to manage

your employees workloads, goals, and your own tasks.

MONEY IS POWER

Billionaires have an advantage in
life, because with money comes
power. Whenever one has the lead
with some of the most money, one
has more power than one realizes.
One can buy whatever one wants
and pretty much get whatever one
aspires to.
The elite like to control their own
destiny, and thats what leads to
success. They explore companies
that need a change and buy
enough of the company to take
control. Its a reoccurring process.
Investing is the number one way
they contain their wealth. As long
as one knows how to pick the right
companies to invest in, one can
make a fortune. Stocks have given
the highest overall returns compared to bonds, commodities, cash
and returns in comparison to real
estate. The best way to invest is to
start small.

THREE LEADERSHIP STYLES BOSSES SHOULD

AVOID

Leading others is a big load to carry. You need to be able to manage your employees
workloads, goals, and your own tasks.
The Know-it-All
There is always something new to learn. You can never have everything down
packed; being great comes with confidently admitting youre wrong in situations. Embrace every opportunity to learn and grow from others knowledge.
The Absent Boss

As a manager you should have great time management and know what needs to be
taught and what doesnt. Employees want and need guidance, feedback, and
validation that theyre on the right path.
The Best Friend
As a boss, its not good to have co-workers as your best friends. This will lead to you
giving them special treatment and letting them slide with different things. This
doesnt mean you cant be interactive and be friends with them, you just need
to reconsider what this type of relationship means.

STEPMOMS PUNISHMENT RESULTS IN 4-YEAR-OLDS DEATH

On the evening of Tuesday, March 15, 2016, Anna Ritchie, Austin Coopers stepmother, punished him by sticking his legs in scalding hot
water and leaving them there to soak.
When Ritchie felt that the four-year-old had learned his lesson, she put him in his crib. The next morning his father found him, called 911
and reported that his son wasnt breathing.

The Warren County Coroner will be performing an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
"He was so young, so innocent. Just why? The Lord taught me, even through the hardest things in life, you gotta forgive he can't forgive
you either. Especially, even something like this, you gotta have faith and you gotta keep your head on straight. That little boy would want
me to keep going every day," Robert Ritchie III told WDTN. "He'd want me to go out and have fun for him and do everything I can for
him."
Ritchie III was very upset about his son, as would any loving and caring parent, and feels that his son should live on. He was a huge fan of
Star Wars, apparently in love with R2-D2.
Ritchie is being held in the Warren County Jail on $100,000 bond and was to be video arraigned on Friday March 18 at noon in Franklin
Municipal Court. She is charged with child endangerment, a felony of the second degree.
Be careful with whom your children are entrusted to, for all you know, your child may be endangered.

FISH BAIT

Penguins are torpedo-shaped,

flightless birds and live in the
southern regions of the earth.
Penguins have bushy eyebrows
and a light yellow patch covers the
face of the yellow eyed penguin.

Ever wonder why we shouldnt litter?

The smallest penguin grows 10 to

12 inches and weighs only two to
three pounds. The largest penguin
grows 36 to 44 inches and weighs
36 to 44 pounds. Their diet includes krill (tiny crustaceans),
squid, and fish. Some species of
penguins can make a large dent in
an areas food supply.

Now the final question is why are

penguins vanishing? Penguins are
vanishing because of the iceberg.
It cut off their food supply which
is fish. Also penguins only eat
meat, so thats why they are vanishing.

When we litter the trash goes and travels

into our oceans and kills our fish. The
populations of fish is very low. When we
throw trash down and leave plastic to blow
in the wind we mess upon the Earth.
About 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic is in
the ocean; and 269,000 tons float on the
surface. There is plenty of issues when it
comes to littering but we choose to focus
on the fish issue because its taking down
the population on fish.
Under these conditions we should help to
keep our fish safe and also stop littering to
keep our earth happy.

YOU SO SALTY

We all have those lazy days and just stop to get fast food.
Maybe its due to hanging with some friends on a nice
day and choosing to go for some McDonalds, Burger
King, or Rallys.
Too many Americans are becoming unhealthy from eating fast foods. About 90 percent of
Americans eat plenty of it and all it contains is salt. In 2011-2012, the average daily sodium intake among adults was 3,592 mg; this was way above the public health target.
Since then, some adults agreed to cut back and eat home cooked meals. When cooking at
home, one is in control of how much salt is added, as well as seasonings and spices.
One can have a healthy body whether young or old. So remember try to eat at home as
much as possible. We can stay healthy together!

GETTING FAMILIAR WITH COGNITIVE

COMPUTING

The goal of cognitive computing is to stimulate human thought processes in a computerized model. Using self-learning algorithms that use data mining, pattern recognition, and
natural language processing, the computer can mimic the way the human brain works.
This is the third era of computing, the more the different data system is exposed to, the
more it learns and the more accurate it becomes. The process of these systems are entitled for basically any field of work that deals with large portions of compacted data that
need to be analyzed to solve problems.
The program assistants on our phones such as Siri and Google are not even cognitive
systems because they are programmed to answer a preset number of requests, which
means its limited information.

Stay the course. Stay on target. School is almost finished.

As of late Ive done it all, including interpretations.

I can do this no longer, Ive had enough.

My veins are bruised, my heart is rough.

Maybe it fell off and slipped away like the looseness of a glove.

DIVERGENT SERIES: ALLEGIANT MOVIE

REVIEW

This movie is about a woman named Tris (Shailene Woodley) and her partner/boyfriend.

Four (Theo James) and Tris go on a journey beyond the wall that surround Chicago. They
leave to find a peaceful solution, and when they arrive they find shocking truths that
make them see that the old discoveries were meaningless. They also see that ruthless
battles threaten humanity.
Tris and Four have to find out who they can trust to survive, and fast. It says in an article
I read that, Tris must ultimately make difficult choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.

POKEMON ARTIST DIES IN ACCIDENT

Eric Medalle died March 13, 2016, in an
accident during a strong windstorm. This
accident occurred in Seattle, Washington.
Medalle was only 42 years old. Local reports says that Medalle was driving with
his 2-year-old daughter when a large tree
fell and crushed his BMW X3. The little
girl survived with minimal injuries.
He worked for the Pokemon Company as a
freelance artist since 1999. He had another child whose six years old and he
was married to a school teacher named
Carrie. News reports state that A GoFundMe account was setup for his
daughters following his death, according
to the page on YouCaring.com, The account is to ensure that his children are
able go to college.
