Aspartoftheagreement,thenewJVcompanywillbenamedAmtekRikenCastingPrivateLimitedandtheinitial
capitalof$4millionwillbeprovidedbyAmtekthroughitscashreserves.
ThefoundrywillbelocatedinatBhiwadiinRajasthanandisscheduledtostartoperationsbythefourthquarterof
2015.Thenewcompanywillinitiallyproduce15lakhironcamshaftsayearfortheautomobileindustry.
TheJVwillgiveAmtekaccesstoRikensnewandefficientshellmouldingtechnology,whichwouldstrengthenits
positionintheenginecamshaftsbusiness.
Foundedin1927,TokyobasedRikenCorporationisengagedinthemanufactureandsaleofautomotive
components,industrialmachinerypartsandotherproducts.
IthasmanufacturingplantsacrossJapan,China,Taiwan,Indonesia,Thailand,India,theUSandMexico.
