Taber Extrusions
Taber Extrusions continues to offer some of the most diverse and unique set of capabilities in the
extrusion industry. We provide custom extruded profiles for various defense programs as well as many
commercial markets. Our capabilities extend up to 31” widths for soft alloy solid shapes and over 100 foot
finished lengths. Taber is also one of the few extrusion mills to offer the full range of aluminum alloys series
2000, 5000, 6000 and 7000.

Taber Extrusions’ large press facility, located in Russellville, Arkansas, utilizes an 8,600-ton extrusion press
to produce aircraft and aerospace grade custom profiles and hard alloy extruded rod and bar. Our capability
range for hard alloy products is in the intermediate to heavy press category for extrusions weighing 3 pounds
per foot up to 36 pounds per foot in circle sizes up to 18.5”.

The company is a provider of high quality airframe hardware for many aircraft manufacturers including
Boeing, Cessna and Lockheed Martin, and supplies to most of the major first tier subcontractors such as
Vought Aircraft, GKN, Triumph Structures and others.

Taber Extrusions’ hard alloy/aircraft grade alloys include 2014, 2024, 2219, 2224, 7049, 7050 and 7075.
These ultra-high strength alloys are offered in all of the available temper designations as referenced in the
Aluminum Standards and Data publication. We maintain current industry approvals such as ISO 9001, AS9100
and NADCAP for the heat-treatment and ultrasonic inspection (USI) processes.

In addition, we carry various domestic OEM qualifications. The organization offers in-house mechanical testing
facilities and NDT, Ultrasonic Inspection of extrusions up to 105 feet in length. Additionally, we provide test
reports and material certifications to most industry standard material specifications including AMS, ASTM
and ASME.

Taber Extrusions’ provides extrusions for various sections of the airframe including empennage,
fuselage, floor sections and wings. Our ability to process hard alloy extrusions in long lengths makes us a
natural fit for wing structure extrusions such as wing stringers. We manufacture flight hardware for both
military and commercial aircraft. Military aircraft include the Lockheed Hercules C-130 and P-3 Orion and
the Boeing Globemaster C-17, while commercial aircraft include Boeing’s 737, 747, 767 and 777; Cessna
Sovereign and Mustang; Gulfstream G550 and others. We maintain an extensive library of aircraft part number
extrusion tooling.

Taber Extrusions’ offers square and rectangular bar products in the 2000 and 7000 series alloys in widths up
to 18.5” with cross-sectional areas of up to 30 square inches. Our hard alloy round rod product is available
from 2” diameter up to 5” diameter. Rod and bar products are available in the same alloy and temper
combinations as referenced above for our line of custom airframe profiles. Our width capability for rectangular
bar provides a viable alternative for applications using cut plate.

It is our commitment to provide our customers with the best service and products, as well as do our part to
preserve the planet. All aluminum profiles are 100% recyclable and we encourage our customers and
suppliers to recycle all products made with Taber Extrusions products.
