As a covered entity under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City of Los Angeles does not discriminate on the basis of disability and, upon request, will provide
reasonable accommodation to ensure equal access to its programs, services and activities. For efficient handling of information internally and in the internet, conversion to this
new format of code related and administrative information bulletins including MGD and RGA that were previously issued will allow flexibility and timely distribution of information
to the public.

8. A mezzanine shall be considered as a separate floor for determining the number of required exits per
Section 91.1004.2.3.2 of the Los Angeles Building Code. The area of any portion of a deck, balcony,
or platform (roofed or unroofed) that is accessible from the mezzanine floor shall be included in the
mezzanine floor area.
9. The floor area of all mezzanines shall be included in calculating the allowable floor area of the stories
in which the mezzanines are located.
10. A mezzanine floor in an accessory building shall be considered an additional story for Building
and Zoning Code purposes.
