A BUILDING IS NEEDED:

We began holding services again the Sunday ni^t af

ter we got back and had 40 to attend. We had 60 at

the next service, which' was Christmas, and 37 lor Sun-

day School last Lord's Day and 50 on Sunday night. ^

Our building just doesn't hold them all and we don't
have chairs nor benches for thon. I don't know what
comes next. We think now that we will build j\ist an

open shed vri.th a tin roof until we can do somethinjg

else. V/e can get the poles for the framework for just
the work it will take to cut and bring them in, and
maybe we can buy the tin sheet -y sheet.
YOUTH WORK
, .
.
We had anotherJiaptiaa-yesterday (written .anuary

and hiked two

miles out to one of the canals for the service.

About ten young people went and one of the families

that lives near there met us,- and we had the service
there. After that we hurried back to town for the

youth meeting. It was the first meeting of the Youi^

People's Society and there were about 20 young people
present. They elected officers.
The other night we had four young people to dedi

cate their lives tc fu_ll-tim9 Christian service. Two

of them will probably enter Bible Ccllege this fall,
and the others when they finish Grannuer School.

have a native worker.

We did talk to one who is still

in Bible College, and he has promised to come down and

help us as soon as school is out.

Saturday (written January 18) we went to a town not

bo far from here with the thou^t of looking it over

r starting a work there. To get there you have to

Remember Damon and Leonila In prayer.

V. B, S.

Last woek (dated May 29) we had a week of

B. S.,
but v/b had it here in tovm. (Originally it was plan
ned for '=the Aztecs")# Since the public schools are
crowded and since the girls go in the morning and the

'boys in the afternoon we held two classes a dayfor

the boys in the morning and for the girls in the after
noon. It worked out wonderfully well. Oi course, we

only had to prepare one lesson for each day and vdth
our liirdted facilities we weren't over-crov/ded. We
had a total enrollment of 105 and the last day we had

about 95 in attendance. Harold Gibbs (missionary in

Saltillo) and a graduate of Colegio Biblico, Rebeca

Saucedo, were here tc help us. Leonila didn't get to

help this year as Sandra decided to have measles all
week.

THE TRAVELALL

It was necessary for the Elletts to ccme to the

border of the United States to have the papers rertfawAd for the Trovelall on J\me 8. and on this trip

some needed repairs to the car were made* Part of

the expense was covered by the guarantee but the
Elletts had to pay ^l6.00 of this bill. They retume
to Mante on the 9th.

The final tl.r .e payments on the Travelall (&L05 each)

have been assumed by Damon's mother, Mrs, Pearl Ellett

of Franklin, Indiana, This will lightoi the finaneial

load on the mission fiinds at the present time, and the

money can be returned to her in analler monthly pay

FORWARDING AGENT:

Ora Davis
2639 Foltz Street

Indianapolis 41, Indiana

The fields are white unto harvest.

Dear Christian Friends:

Would you invest $5.00 a month in the preaching of the Gospel in Mexico?
The church in El Mante, Mexico, is desperately in need of a native minister.

A preacher is now available, but the church is so small that it cannot pay his
salary. He will need $60.00 a month pledged support and we must call on our
Christian brethren to help. WE NEED THAT HELP NOW!

We have $200.00 pledged toward a church building, as the congregation has

outgrown the present building. Another $300.00 is needed if a building is to be

constructed and this is necessary if the church is to grow in attendance and in
conversions. This building must be constructed immediately.

Shall we missionaries continue to limit ourselves on our daily bread so that

these needs may be met, and then, only some day in the far future? Or, won't
you help us now so that the mission work may be extended.
Contributions may be sent directly to us by personal check or to our for
warding agent.

Hopefully and prayerfully yours.
