A. Position Definition

Job Title Logistics Manager Location Kigali, Rwanda

B. Principle Accountabilities (Permanent Objectives)

No. Main Roles and Responsibilities

Manage the daily logistics operations of the company not limited to:
A. International Transportation:
Manage the goods transit requirement and delivery to destination. Handle the
reverse logistics process for goods as well.
Update and communicate the transit status for all shipments.
Handle related documetation timely and efficiently.
B. Customs Clearance
Execute the customs clearance requirements of local authority and ensure timely
and cost effective operation.

Maintain a good relationship with customs authorities ensuring all local
regulations are addressed timely and adequately.
C. Warehousing
Maintain the company goods inventory, not limited to managing inbound, storage
and inventory and outbound process timely.
Ensure 100% stock/inventory accuracy at all times
D. Delivery
Ensure the timely delivery of goods to installation sites while monitoring the
status and updating all stakeholders involved.

Report daily to project, engineering, higher management and immediate manager

3 Development client relationship and communication channel

4 Manage and exploit the best performance from Logistics Service Providers

5 Other duties and tasks as assisgned from time to time.

E. Basic Requirements

Minimum Education
Honors degree (First or Second class upper) in:
Procurement and Logistics, Commerce, Business Administraction,
Stores Management, Supply Chain or Telcom Engineering
Qualities
Strong preference for individuals with CIPS international
qualification

2-5 years experince in Customs, Logistics or Supply Chain position

Ability to work effectively in a complex multi-organisational
structure is highly preferred

Good Knowledge of English; both written and spoken is a must

Good Computer Knowledge in office applications is a must
Other skills
Skilled communicator and negotiator

Fast learner and innovative individual

Ability to meet strict deadlines, work under pressure and for extra
hours outside contracted time

Experience in Telecom Industry is an added advantage

Experience in Logistics Company like DHL, Maersk, SDV
preferred.

Capability to recognise and mitigate any related risks and
negotiate effectively and timely in a dynamic environment

Knowledge of other languages particularly French, Chinese and
Kinyarwanda is a strong plus
