This is the official LSPD Handbook, the handbook will exist out of a few chapters.
A member of the LSPD is supposed to know the whole handbook, and act according to it.

I. Commands
Lockers /locker
The locker room is an important part of the LSPD, as you will get your uniform and weapons
here.
Radio Frequency (/r)adio
This radio is used to talk to other LSPD officers. It must be used ICly.
Secondary Radio Frequency /f
This can be used to communicate with other fellow LSPD members too but it is used
OOCly.
Department Radio (/d)
This radio is used to talk with all other departments. Only officers and above are allowed to
use without permission. Cadets can use the department radio in the case of emergencies
and they can be given permission by high command to use.
Gate Control /gate
This will operate both the garage and parking area gates.
Door Control /door
This will operate the door next to the garage gate.
Megaphone (/m)egaphone
It is used to alert anybody within a large area. It is commonly used in pursuits.
Wanted List /wanted
This will show the list of wanted suspects.
Adding Charges (/su)spect [Cadets CANNOT do this without permission]
This is the most significant command in the Police Department as it adds a crime to a
suspect (a "star") so that you may arrest them. Never metagame or powergame anybody
with this command.
Ticketing /ticket
Tickets are issued to individuals for minor crimes and referred as a warning.
Arresting /arrest [Cadets CANNOT do this without permission]
When you have finished adding charges, go to the arrest point and /arrest a suspect that is
nearer to you.
Frisking [Has to be RPed] /frisk
This is used to search for illegal weaponry or drugs on a body.
Cuffing /cuff
This will place cuffs on the suspect as long as their hands are up or they're tazed.
Uncuffing /uncuff
Used to uncuff a suspect if you feel he/she is innocent etc after you have /cuffed him/her.
Detaining /detain
After when you cuff a suspect, RPly push him/drag him into the third seat of the cruiser
using the command.
Calling for Backup /backup
When you are in need of help, you can use this to alert all officers so they can come and
help you.
Cancelling Backup /nobackup
When you no longer require assistance or when the situation has ended, use this
command.
Displaying your badge /badge
This will put on, or put away, your badge; causing your name to swap between blue and
white. It should be on while patrolling.
Showing your Badge /showbadge
When you have used this, it will show your badge to another person which contains
information of your department, your rank and name.
Radargun /radargun
This item can be used to check the speed of the car when in motion or capture license plate
number of a vehicle.
MDC Speed Radar /radar [To be used when inside a vehicle]
This can be used to check the speed of the car that you are presently travelling in.
Destroying cannabis /destroyplant
This command will allow you to destroy cannabis before it has been grown or harvested.
Civilian vehicles /vcheck, /vmdc, /vticket
These three commands allow you to check a vehicles registration, giving you a list of unpaid
tickets, car type, and the owner's name. Once you have the vehicle ID you can place a
ticket on it, which automatically costs $1000.
Mobile Desktop Computer /mdc
This command allows you to use your Mobile Desktop Computer while inside any vehicle to
check records, find people, etc.
Towing vehicles /tow
This command will attach a vehicle to your vehicles hook RPly. Be sure to RP attaching
your hook into the vehicle.
Detaching vehicles /untow
This command will detach a vehicle that you have in tow. You can tow a vehicle, park it
legally on the right side using your truck and then detach your hook.
Impounding vehicles /impound
This command will impound a vehicle when used outside the LSPD garage and send it to
the Dillimore DMV. A vehicle should only be impounded when it has outstanding tickets or
you have been ordered to.
Releasing vehicles /dmvrelease
This command will release a vehicle from the DMV with no charge.
Searching a vehicle /searchcar & /checktruck
These two commands are used to check the trunk of a car or truck for any illegal items.
/searchcar can be used on a player owned vehicle if you suspect it contain any illegal item.
/checktruck
Deploying /deploy(spikes/cone/flare)
This command will either lay a set of road spikes, destroying a cars wheels; a cone, to alert
people not to pass or to make a detour and follow them; or a flare, that allows people to
easily see a certain thing - useful for a pickup. Sergeants and above only - Senior Officers
and above may use cones/flares if NECESSARY
Destroying /destroy(spikes/cone/flare)
This command is the opposite of deploy, allowing you to remove them instead. You can
check the existing objects and it's ID, which you must delete it by, with /spikestrip, /cones,
or /flares.
Deploying Large Barricades /deploycade
This will place a large blockade that will stop any vehicle dead in its tracks. This is useful to
prevent access to certain areas.
Sergeants and above only.
Deploying Small Barricades ( /deploycade 2 )
This will place a small blockade that will stop any vehicle dead in its tracks. This is useful to
prevent access to certain areas.

II. Vehicles
LSPD Cruiser
This is the regular cruiser of the PD. It may be driven at any rank, as long as you are
assigned to the vehicle. Cadets cannot drive a cruiser alone, but can go on ridealongs
with officers.
Motorcycle
This can be used to tail a suspect or escort a convoy. It can be used by Senior Officers +.
Rancher
This can be used by Senior Officer +. It is preferred to be used for off-road pursuits where
regular cruisers are not suitable.
Maverick (Polair)
MPS Towtruck
The towtruck, often just referred to as MPS truck, is an important vehicle within the
department that can be used by any rank at any time. Cadets will spend most of their
time in this truck. Whilst on MPS duty, assigned officers/cadets are requested to ticket
vehicles and ensure every car is legally parked.
The Armed Personnel Carrier is a small vehicle that the SWAT team uses in situations. It is
also referred as the box truck. SWAT Division and Senior Officer + are allowed to use this
without permission for situations.
Riot Tank
The Riot Tank is a two door vehicle with water cannon and bullet resistance ability. This is
also called as a splashy, as they are used to clear out riots. This can withstand bullets and
impactful damage. SWAT Division and Sergeant + can use without permission in
situations however this should not be abused.
Enforcer
The Enforcer is a heavy armored vehicle that is mostly used for transporting dangerous
criminals or VIPs. Only SWAT Division and Sergeant+ are allowed to use this without
permission and should be used in situations

III - Communications
All members are expected to use the 10-codes to communicate with other members.
This increases chances of being promoted and showing your professionalism.

General Codes:
Code 0: Game crashed
Code 1: Routine response (Deal with your current situations, then respond. No siren.)
Code 2: Urgent response (Drop what you are doing. Siren.)
Code 3: Emergency Response (All units respond.)
Code 4: No further assistance required
Code 7: Mealtime
Code 10: Bomb threat
Code 33: Radio silence, unless relevant

Cadet [Rank 0]
As a Cadet, you are in your position for one reason, to obtain a better understanding of how
the Los Santos Police Department works. If somebody is a higher rank than you and tells
you something, you had better do it. As a Cadet you may feel like you know everything
there is to know. Trust us, you don't.Keep in mind, once you screw around at any rank then
chances are you will be terminated. Respect everyone, no matter what their rank is.
Officer [Rank 1]
As a Officer you are now a true member of the LSPD. You passed your test and are now
permitted to patrol alone, although it is preferred you do not.
As a Senior Officer you are trusted and valuable member of the LSPD. They are in a
position of higher responsibility and must set a good example for everyone.
Sergeant [Rank 3]
Captain [Rank 4]
The Captain's role within our LSPD is leading a division, he's supposed to take care of
everything within the division and he has the right to promote a Corporal to Sergeant so that
he can help him with all the work that has to be done.
Deputy Chief [Rank 5] & Chief of Police [Rank 6]
The Chief leads the whole PD with the help of the Dep. Chief, Asst. Chief, Captains and
Sergeants, and ensures proper administration and the working of the PD.

V. STANDARD
ORDINANCES
5.1 - Miranda Rights
[ It is NOT MANDATORY to read out the Miranda Rights ]
The Miranda Rights are a warning that is required to be given to detained criminals by a
Law Enforcement Officer before they are interrogated to inform them about their
constitutional rights. This is the rights as spoken by members of the Los Santos Police
Department.
"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you do or say can and will be used against
you in the court of law. You have the right to an attorney after initial processing has been
completed. Do you understand these rights as I have read them?
In layman's terms, the force matrix is a tool police officers use to determine the amount of
force to use in a situation.
Force Level 1 (Code Blue)
- Suspect may be verbally aggressive.
- Suspect may be showing aggression in his tone of speaking.
- Suspect may be taunting you, or using foul languages.
* Your actions
At this point in time you are to issue verbal warnings or gestures to calm them down.
No physical contact may occur.
* Your actions
At this point you may open fire at the suspect and shoot to kill. Attempt to avoid such
a situation if possible. If the suspect is attempting to escape in a vehicle, attempt to
shoot out their tires - if you miss and the car begins to smoke you must cease fire
and attempt P.I.T. maneuvers only. It is suggested that you call a Code 3 backup.

Arrest
Resisting Arrest: Preventing arrest by a Law Enforcement Officer by breaking cuffs or
assaulting them. (( In cases of Logging/Tabbing to avoid - /report ))
Arrest
Vehicular Assault: Repeatedly attempting, or succeeding, at ramming a person or their
vehicle with another vehicle.
$500 Ticket OR Arrest [Based on severity]
(Impound vehicle if necessary)
Grand Theft Auto: Attempting, or succeeding, at hijacking the vehicle of another person
without their consent.

Possession of Illegal Narcotics: The possession of illegal narcotics (drugs).

Instigating Public Anarchy: Causing people to go into a state of *******ness and disorder.
Arrest
Kidnapping: Taking somebody against their will, and quite often, asking for money for their
return.

Robbery: Using intimidation, threats, or firearms to take things from somebody or stealing
another way, for example, robbing the bank.

Rape: Forcing somebody to have sexual intercourse with you, even though it it completely
against their will.

Bribery: Attempting to bribe a Law Enforcement Officer for freedom.

Assault: Issuing a threat with the means to carry it out/attacking somebody.

Extortion: Acquiring money, property, or services by use of intimidation or other acts.

Hostage Taking: Taking hostages in an attempt to get things in return for their lives.

Domestic Terrorism: Any act that attempts to overthrow the government or start anarchy,
