FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

What is CLC?

A:CLC is called as Cellular Light Weight Concrete and it is also called as Foam Concrete. Cellular Light Weight Concrete (CLC

produced like normal concrete under ambient conditions. It is produced by initially making slurry of Cement, Sand (optional), Fly-A

addition of pre-formed stable foam. The Concrete is pumped into assembled moulds of blocks. The foam imparts free flowing cha

effect of foam bubbles enabling it to easily flow into all corners and compact by itself in the moulds/forms without requiring any kind o
strength and dimensional stability to Bricks. Bricks are cured either by natural air Curing or Steam Curing procedure.

What is Basic Automatic Version (BAV)? And how it works?

A: Basic Automated Version model in CLC Machinery usually gives the capacities from 10m3 to 40m3 production per Day. Usually in

What type of foaming agent can be used in CLC bricks production?

Protein foaming agent (non-veg) 85gm to 95gm per liter (density) can use for CLC bricks.
Protein foaming agent (veg) can be used for roof insulations.

What type of cement grade can use in CLC light weight bricks manufacturing?
A: 53 grade ordinary Portland cement (OPC) is used for manufacturing CLC bricks.

What type of fly ash can be used for CLC bricks production?
A: We should use fine fly ash, which is available in thermal power plants. (It is also available in certain industries free of
arrangement). This raw material is one hundred percent (100%) suitable for CLC bricks production.

What type of conveyor can be used in CLC bricks machinery plants?

A: There are two types of conveyors that can be used:
Belt conveyor for fly ash
Screw conveyor for cement
Screw conveyor for flyash can be used only with silo

How many moulds are needed for 1 cubic meter CLC bricks manufacturing?

There are four moulds needed if it is 8 feet ms (mild steel) sheet.

There are five moulds needed if it is 6 feet ms (mild steel) sheet.

Is it advisable to make moulds with fiber?

A: Oh! Yes, but life span of fiber moulds is less when compare to mild steel (ms). So, MS sheet are the most preferred material
Besides, it has more durability, which means less investment.

What are the different types of curing are there during the production of CLC bricks?

A: There are two types of curing while making CLC bricks. They are natural air curing and steam curing. Water curing is not nece
water ratio in the production of CLC.
