Product: GE light bulbs
Target Audience

My primary target audience is adults 20-49 years old.


This generation does not necessarily want something
to last a long time. They are more concerned with
saving energy and eco-friendly products. My secondary
audience is adults 50-79 years old. This generation is
concerned with how long a product will last and how
much power it has.

History

In 1878 Thomas Edison founded Edison Electric Light


Company later known as General Electric. In 19351945 GE invented fluorescent lighting and in the 1970s
they invented the LED light. Over the last few decades
they continued to invent things to make life better for
others. They have been in business for 125 years, its
proved that the spirit of invention is their guiding force.

Big Idea

GE is a very recognizable brand thats been around for


a very long time, since GE is known for their innovation
the light bulbs will be advertised as energy efficient, but
long lasting and powerful. My target audience will be
drawn to the redesign of the box as being innovative,
but still classy.

Increase Sales

Advertisements will be placed in magazines along with


coupons for GE light bulbs. This special promotional
coupon is buy one get one free and will last from March
to September. Following with TV commercials and
Internet ads for the rest of the year.

Logo
I purposely put this logo in blue on the
packaging so it would contrast against the
orange background. I noticed with the old
packaging the logo got lost in the packaging
with all the information on the back so I put it in
a place where it would be easily noticed.
The logo should be placed at the top center of
the back panel. It should be placed above the
warning signs. It should be 1 inch from the
top and inch away from the warning box on
the very back panel. The logo should be no
bigger than inch in height and inch wide.

Advertisement
The most important thing my target audience
needs to hear is this product is cost and energy
efficient. This advertisement will set people up
to buy these products for the next few months.
My target audience is 20-49 years old this
will attract them to buy this product. So
Im reinforcing 28% less energy by making
the first light bulb packaging 28% off. This
advertisement will be placed in magazines and
coupon packets from March to September.
