Information, exchange engine

Ordering
When ordering an exchange engine, make sure that the correct type (see type plate) and the correct
equipment option are ordered.

Location of type plate

The engine type designation (e.g. DS9 01 L01) and the engine number are stamped on the type plate,
which is located on the right side of the cylinder block. (Other locations are also possible). On newer
engine variants, engine type designation and engine number are stamped on the cylinder block.

Exchange engines
These engines are reconditioned; they are fitted with both new and recycled parts. All wearing parts,
such as pistons and cylinder liners, are new. These engines no longer occur in production. The part
numbers of these engines starts with 572. The engines are test run and the basic settings have been
made.

Information, new exchange engine

Ordering
When ordering a new exchange engine, make sure that the correct engine type and the correct equipment
option are ordered.

Engine type designation

The engine type designation and engine number are stamped on the right side of the cylinder block.

New exchange engines

These exchange engines are newly manufactured and consist 100% of new parts. These engines are
available during the period in which they are in production. The part numbers start with 577. The engines
are test run and the basic settings have been made.
