Students are expected to spend 75 hours in total for this project (25 per credit). It
will also be necessary to meet with the community league in order to see where
the gardens location and tools will be. In addition the community league has some
hand and garden tools available to students free of charge. For this project the
community league has teamed up with a local hardware store and each student
will receive a seventy-five dollar credit, which they are able to use towards
garden supplies, seeds, building materials etc.. Students are encouraged to use
recycled materials whenever possible, and a minimum of two are required within
the project. If there are any financial concerns beyond the allocated seventy-five
dollars students are advised to speak with Mr. Gartner, as he will be able to
provide guidance on alternative cost saving strategies.
