15 Reasons Why Jesus Came

When we say we believe in
Jesus, we must have more in
mind than just believing
what we think about Jesus.
We must have a broad biblical understanding of who
Jesus said He was. We should
be attempting to be good
and righteous people but
that is not enough for redemption. In order to attain
redemption we must agree
that Jesus is who He said He
was. The Bible teaches us
many things about who Jesus
was. Here are 15 reasons
Jesus came into the world:
1. Jesus Christ came into the
world to save sinners.
1 Timothy 1:15, The saying
is trustworthy and deserving
of full acceptance, that Christ
Jesus came into the world to
save sinners, of whom I am
the foremost.
2. Jesus Christ came into the
world to call sinners to repentance.
Mark 2:17, "And when Jesus
heard it, he said to them,
Those who are well have no
need of a physician, but
those who are sick. I came
not to call the righteous, but
sinners.
3. Jesus Christ came into the
world to seek and save the
lost.
Luke 19:10, For the Son of
Man came to seek and to
save the lost.
4. Jesus came into the world
to demonstrate the true pur-

pose of life and give Himself

a ransom.
Matthew 20:28, even as the
Son of Man came not to be
served but to serve, and to
give his life as a ransom for
many.
5. Jesus Christ came into the
world to be a King and bear
witness to the truth.
John 18:37, Then Pilate said
to him, So you are a king?
Jesus answered, You say
that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this
purpose I have come into the
worldto bear witness to
the truth. Everyone who is of
the truth listens to my
voice.
6. Jesus Christ came into the
world to do the Will of His
Father.
John 6:38, For I have come
down from heaven, not to
do my own will but the will
of him who sent me.
7. Jesus Christ came into the
world to be a Light in the
world.
John 12:46, "I have come
into the world as light, so
that whoever believes in me
may not remain in darkness."
8. Jesus Christ came into the
world that men might have
the Abundant Life.
John 10:10, "The thief comes
only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may
have life and have it abundantly."
9. Jesus Christ came into the

world to Judge the world.

John 9:39, "Jesus said, For
judgment I came into this
world, that those who do not
see may see, and those who
see may become blind.
10. Jesus Christ came into
the world to Proclaim or
preach the Good News about
the Kingdom of God.
Mark 1:38, And he said to
them, Let us go on to the
next towns, that I may
preach there also, for that is
why I came out.
11. Jesus Christ came into
the world to die on the cross.
John 12:27, Now is my soul
troubled. And what shall I
say? Father, save me from
this hour? But for this purpose I have come to this
hour.
12. Jesus Christ came into
the world to fulfill the law.
Matthew 5:17, Do not think
that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I
have not come to abolish
them but to fulfill them."
13. Jesus Christ came into
the world to be a Divider of
men.
Matthew 10:34, 35, Do not
think that I have come to
bring peace to the earth. I
have not come to bring
peace, but a sword. For I
have come to set a man
against his father, and a
daughter against her mother,
and a daughter-in-law
against her mother-in-law.

God's Love.

How can these contradictions
in our lives be the will of God,
after all Jesus says, The thief
cometh not, but for to steal,
and to kill, and to destroy: I
am come that they might
have life , and that they
might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10 KJV)
So then how can things be
the way they are? How does
life roll on and on without
changing its cadence or why

much and where is the evidence of the abundant life

So who are you going to
believe? The King or the
Liar? The one who gave His
life for you or the one who
would take your life?

I choose God. He is a breath

away, a spoken or unspoken
prayer or thought away. He
has proved Himself faithful
and I choose to trust Him
until He takes me home for
the answers.
Does my heart ache with the
pains of earth? That would
be a resounding, Yes! Does
my heart rejoice that the King
of Glory has promised to never leave me nor forsake me?
Yes!
Be strong and courageous.
Do not fear or be in dread of
them, for it is the LORD your
God who goes with you. He
will not leave you or forsake
you. (Deuteronomy 31:6
ESV)
It is truly so very hard to walk
in this truth. I too struggle
moment by moment as He
molds me into His character
here on earth. These things,
these insurmountable struggles take, drag, draw, and pull
me to the end of myself and
finally to the whole of God
finding my only sufficiency in
Him alone.
Satans most fervent wish is
that we would doubt Gods
all sufficient wisdom and
promise in our life of His everlasting covenant with us.
Truly we see with the finite
eyes of man born on earth
and declare our wants and
needs as we see them before
our all knowing Father God,
as if we ourselves have the
wisdom of heaven.
His choice is to allow our
completeness in Him and in
the lives of the ones we love.
Acknowledging His gracious
gift in allowing not only ourselves but the ones we love
to make their own good and
bad choices here on earth is
recognizing His Creator Kingship in our lives and theirs.
So very hard when our hearts

break for them as the choices

hey make collide with the
wisdom of God.
Many of us plant gardens and
we understand at least limitedly the process, there at
least has to be a seed or a
portion of the vine or plant to
grow something.
Ill just use potatoes. You
need to find a potato to use
as a seed. I look for the
eyes and try to find at least
two close together. Cut the
potato apart in pieces realizing that the eye is the
sprouting area and just sticking a piece in the ground
without eyes, will not ever
produce a potato plant. OK I
have now placed it in well
tilled soil and watch with expectation for the leaves to
appear. I keep it watered
well and as I see well established leaves appear I begin
mounding dirt up to the
leaves causing more sprouts
to develop along the vine. I
keep watering. It keeps
growing...and so forth. If I
have been diligent, if I watered and also weeded it
carefully and I have good soil
and nutrients when time for
the harvest as I pull back the
continually mounded dirt and
have applied the proper insecticide I should have wonderful potatoes. But something has drastically
changed...I look around for
the potato piece I had planted and it most likely has completely disintegrated or only a
tried shriveled remnant is
left. But where did it go? It
looked great when I placed it
in there. The plant had received all the care nutrients
and water I had given it. So
what was the problem?
It was the one thing I could
not provide and it wasnt
really a problem it was the
answer, it was the sun that

was needed to begin all the

process with its heat and
causing photosynthesis to
happen as the plant matured.
The old plant had to fall away
as the new plant absorbed all
of its natal nutrients. It didnt
happen as soon as I planted
my potato but was a process
of change...a methodical plan
God put in place at creation.
So it is with our lives, God
provides everything we need
to grow in this life but we
wont prosper to our fullest
here until we let it nurture us
and grow us. Our old life has
to fall away with its destructive choices and rewards.
When we understand our
need making Him truly Lord
of our lives and we
acknowledge our need of His
Son His perfect plan is perfected in us. When we have
become a child of God by
receiving Christs sacrifice of
His perfect life in exchange
for our sinful lives, thats
when our photosynthesis
begins but like the potato if
you will, we are truly a Christian and have eternal life.
But the change to look live
and be like Christ will be a
process lovingly, God allows
blessings and difficulties to
arrive in our lives as we are
conformed into His image.
A potato growing next to a
rock that is pushed up against
its side will either curve away
from it or push it out of its
way as it matures, so with
us...we are not too different
from the potato, we change
as circumstances occur in our
lives.
Unlike the potato God has
given us a mind like His.
Then God said, Let us make
human beings in our image,
to be like us (Genesis 1:26
NLT)

We can think, we can

breathe, we can choose to
move or make choices. Its
His breath He chose to
breathe into Adam to give
Him life.
Then the LORD God formed
the man from the dust of the
ground. He breathed the
breath of life into the mans
nostrils, and the man became a living person. (Genesis 2:7 NLT)
Let Him hold you when life
hurts too much and trust His
unfailing strength. Let Him
rejoice with you in times of
blessing, but most of all
acknowledge it is Him whose
breath fills your own lungs
and was given up for all who
would receive it. In Genesis
He gave life to all mankind, in
the New Testament He fulfilled His plan of resuscitation
and restoration for all who
would receive Him. He lovingly reaches to us all in
deepest sorrow and greatest
joy. Breathing that same
breath He gave in the beginning. He gave His treasured
Son but unlike us His gift was
for all mankind. He knows
the depth of your sorrows.
He knows the joy of your
greatest blessing. Jesus sits
on His right hand of God after
having opened the gates of
heaven at the greatest of
cost.
Let Him be God. His breath is
not Just a Breath, go ahead
and just breathe.
But they that wait upon the
LORD shall renew their
strength; they shall mount
up with wings as eagles; they
shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not
faint. (Isaiah 40:31 KJV)
The LORD is my strength and
my song; he has become my
salvation. (Psalms 118:14)
