Title: The Importance of Having Unity in Diversity

According to Wikipedia.com, Unity in diversity is a concept of "unity

without uniformity and diversity without fragmentation that shifts focus from
unity based on a mere tolerance of physical, cultural, linguistic, social,
religious, political, ideological and/or psychological differences towards a
more complex unity based on an understanding that difference enriches
human interactions. It means that we must cooperate with other people
without bothering about races and blood-related person.
In Malaysia ,we got many kinds of race in the country consisting the race
of Malaysians , indian and chinese. We need to cooperate so that we can
create a harmony live in our community and society. We live in a community
and we need to face many obstacles in our lives. We need to get help from
other persons to face the obstacles. We will fall if we face it alone. Divided
we fall, united we stand is what people always say. For example, we have
many kind of things to bring to our house but we can not carry all of them at
the same time, so we need to get help from other people although that
person is from other races. From this situation, the person who asked for help
can fnish his/her work easily and quickly while the person who is helping will
feel that he/she is not isolated in the community. This is how a community
can live in harmony.
Besides that, we can learn how to respect each other. We need to treat
every person in our life the same without showing favoritism for a certain
person only. We need to be fair to every person. People always say that what
goes around comes around meaning that we will be paid for everything we
had done. So, if we respect other people, they will also respect us. The
practice of respecting each other shows that we need cooperation and hold
each other hands to stay socialize in our life.
Not only that, unity in diversity also emphasize us about the cultural and
linguistic of other people which means that we can have a shot and try to
learn about other races culture and language. This knowledge can widen our
experience and matured us at the same time. We can use this knowledge
and teach it to our child and our friends when we go to other country. They
will interested and come to visit our country. With this, it can increase our
country proft to develop our country into an advanced country.
All of this show us that, having unity in diversity is important for our lives.
It can impact others perspective toward our country, community and society.
Thus, we must always stick together as a team because united we stand
divided we fall. United we stand, divided we fall is just a normal phrase if

we did not practice it in our life so we must practice it because actions speak
louder than words.
