LESSON PLAN – Educ27 (Semi-Detailed)

I. Objectives:

At the end of the 45-minute class, most of the students will be able –

a. to list and identify the different days of creation

b. to enumerate the correct order of God’s Creation
c. to draw the best day that God created

II. Subject Matter:

i. Topic: The Creation (Genesis 1)

ii. Reference: The Bible (King James Version) and The Amazing Bible Factbook
(Maerican Bible Society)
iii. Materials: Pentel pen, Cartolina, Textbook
iv. Values Infused: Diligence, patience, curiosity and understanding

III. Procedure/Lesson Proper:

i. Preparatory Activity and Motivation – Let the students sing the God Created
(twinkling stars)
ii. Topic Presentation – The teacher will start with the 1st day of creation, God
said, “I Command light to shine!” (Genesis 1:3). The teacher explains it
importance why it came first rather than any other. Now, the teacher will
explain what happened on day 2. God made the sky to separate the water
above from the water below (Genesis 1:6). On the 3rd day, God separated the
oceans from the land. God told the earth to grow all kinds of plants (Genesis
1:9-11). Explain to the children that God created things, not make one. On
the 4th day, God separated the light of day and light at night (Genesis 1:14).
When God saw it, He found that it was good. On the 5 th day, He created the
fishes of the seas and fouls in the air Genesis 1:20-23). He made different
kinds of fishes and different kinds of birds. On the 6 th day, God created the
animals of the land and lastly created man (Adam). He saw that it was good
(Genesis 1:24-31).
iii. Evaluation/Reflection – Why learn creation? According to science, men
evolved from animals (apes, monkeys and orangutans to mention a few)
which is a complete opposite with the teachings of the Bible.

IV. Evaluation:

Ask the children to enumerate which came first in the order of

Gods’ creation. Children will be exposed and should have
memorized at least 3-5 in order correctly.

V. Assignment:
The students should draw the correct order of God’s creation on
1 piece long bond paper and pass it the following day.

LEGEND: T – Teacher; S – Student

T: Good morning children! How are you today?
S: I’m ok teacher, I am very happy today!
T: Why are you happy? What happened today?
S: I saw God’s creation!
T: Really? Wow! That is great! Today, before we start our class, I
want everybody to stand as we sing God Created (twinkling
stars). Are you ready to sing?
S: Yes, we are!
T: “God created twinkling stars,
God created rivers flow,
God created mountain sides,
He created me,
And that is not the reason why I love Him,
It’s because He gave His life,
For me and all the earth,
At Calvary!”
(Teacher teaches the song if the students don’t know)
T: You may now be sedated. Now, what have you noticed with
the song?
S: God created everything.
T: Really? Very good and that is true! Now, let’s learn the things
that God created. Are you ready? Now, I want everybody to
close their eyes now, what do you see?
S: It’s very dark teacher, I can’t see.
T: Right, it’s dark, empty and has no life, but when God said, lets
there be light, and it was so. Can you do that? Can you just say
words in order to have things your way?
S: NO, I can’t do that, only God can.
T: Very good! Now, that happened on the 1st day. What again
happened on the 1st day?
S: God created light!
T: Now, what do you think happened on the 2nd day?
S: I don’t know teacher.
T: On the second day, God separated the waters on the earth
and waters up above. How did God do it?
S: He just said it.
T: True! He just said words in order for it to be done. Now, that is
the reason why it rains and it floods. And God saw it and it was
good. Are you still interested to know what happened on the 3rd
day?
S: YES!
T: On the 3rd day, God said, let there be land and when God said
that, the land roused out of the seas. Is God really that
powerful?
S: Yes, He is very powerful!
T: And God said that it was good that God created many more
things. Now, let’s see what happened on the 4th day. On the 4th
day, God separated the light of day and the light of night and
that is the reason why we have morning and evening, there is a
time for play and a time for rest. I want to ask you, do can you
still play around 2 in the morning?
S: No teacher because my parents will be angry.
T: So imagine that we don’t sleep, can you do that? Play 24
hours a day, 7 days a week? Even me, I can’t do that, how much
more if you do that, right?
S: Teacher, what happened on the 5th day?
th
T: On the 5 day, God created the fishes of the sea and the birds
in the air. I want to ask you what kind of fishes and birds do you
know?
S: Bangus, lapu-lapu, sharks, dolphins, eagles and etc.
T: That is very good children, now, I want your full attention on
what happened on the 6th day. On this day, God created all the
animals on land. This means that he already made all types of
land animals.
S: Really teacher? Does it include dogs, cats, elephants,
giraffes?
T: Yes! And so many more animals, he created them all and man
was made out of the dusts of the earth and yes, he breathed to
his nostrils and man was a living being. Who do you think was
the first man?
S: Adam teacher!
T: Absolutely right! Man was the first man on earth. Now, before
we end, I want everyone to sing God Created (twinkling stars)
again. Everybody stand up now. (Sings the song again)
