: Handout, Mahjong Papers and Marker Pens.

Preparation

Procedure

: Opening/ Introduction/ Input: (10 minutes)


Group competition
1. Input on appropriate words in description.
2. Facilitator shows a picture and ask students to describe the objects.
Facilitator also manages the correction of grammar used in the
description.
Activity: (20 minutes)
1. Facilitator brings in a set of product pictures. The pictures
contain a list of banned words.
2. Each group will take turns to conduct the game. One person
from each group is selected and given a random picture. The
person will then describe the picture without using any of the

banned words. If the group managed to guess the product within


2 minutes, they will receive 2 marks. After two minutes have
passed, other groups are allowed to guess, and if they get it
correct one mark will be awarded.
Conclusion/ Closure for the activity (10 minutes):
1. After the activities, the facilitator will discuss and recall the description
and categorize the best description given by the students as well as the
weakest ones.
2. The facilitator will then explain how to improve the weakest sentences
to make it more effective

: Students are asked to create a new innovative product and draw it in a


mahjong paper. The product will then be described by the students in
groups in later class
: Have the students reflect on the reasoning of why the description of
products is important in order to get a good understanding on the nature
of certain products and services. Ask them to then anticipate possible
consequences of using descriptions in the real world.

Create an outcome-based checklist and share it with the students after
