GETTING STARTED
Task: Research the cancer of your choice and present your findings in a welldesigned poster.
A central topic of The Fault in Our Stars has been how cancer affects individuals
and relationships. You will now select a type of cancer to learn more about,
recording your findings in the Research Chart. Be sure to record WHERE you are
finding your information, as citations are REQUIRED to earn credit for this
project.
Upon completion of research, you will design a one-page poster (using PowerPoint or
Publisher) in which you display the important things to know about your selected
form of cancer. Consider your poster a handy did you know? guide for the general
public. The poster should be eye catching and creative, but not cluttered with text.
STEP ONE:
Choose one of the cancers from the table below for your
project. I have provided some web-sites to help guide your research, but you are
welcome to conduct your own on-line searches for information.
