How can I apply for new Passport?
Just follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for a new passport:
- Go to http://goo.gl/SNiHpp and register through the Passport Seva online portal.
- Go to http://goo.gl/7Lf9JJ to Login to the Passport Seva Online Portal with the registered Login
Id.
- Click "Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport" link.
- Fill in the required details in the form and submit.
- Click the "Pay and Schedule Appointment" link on the "View Saved/Submitted Applications"
screen to schedule an appointment.
- Online payment is mandatory for booking an appointment.
- Online Payment can be made using any one of the following modes:
-- Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa)
-- Internet Banking (State Bank of India (SBI) and Associate Banks Only)
-- SBI Bank Challan
- Click the "Print Application Receipt" link to print the application receipt containing Application
Reference Number (ARN)/Appointment Number.
- Visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)/Regional Passport Office (RPO) where appointment has
been booked, along with the following original documents:
-- Proof of identity.
-- Address proof
-- Proof of date of birth.
How to endorse your Passport in PIO Card?
If you get a new passport and you still have a valid PIO card, you can either carry both the
passports while traveling to India or you can get the new passport number endorsed in your PIO
card.
Documents required are :
-Photocopy of Proof of Address (state issued ID, major utility bill, credit card statement)
-Naturalization Certificate
-Copy of the surrender certificate (applicable to naturalized citizens of Indian origin)
-Statement requesting endorsement
