Endorsed by the Lenawee County Fire Chief Association and Lenawee County Medical Control Authority Board, this
program represents a wide range of classes providing important education for the efficiency and safety of responders and
the communities in which they serve, as well as many courses which meet requirements for continuing education credits.
Our instructors represent a broad spectrum of certifications, credentials and professions, and we appreciate their time,
training and expertise to make this important opportunity possible at no cost to participants.
Registration
Registration is required as classes will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. On-site registration will not be
available the day of the school. Box lunches will be provided on Saturday, May 15th at no cost to all pre-registered
participants. These lunches are being donated by Sodexo and will only be provided on Saturday May 15th. All
registration’s must be completed by May 7th, 2010.
Check-In
Check-in for the EMS Practical Blitz begins at 06:45 at the Siena Heights University Fieldhouse. All other class check-ins
and are as follows:
Saturday, May 15, 2010, starting at 07:30 at Siena Heights University Dominican Hall.
Sunday, May 16, 2010, starting at 08:30 at Siena Heights University Dominican Hall.
Coffee will be provided at no cost by Chartwell’s Dining Service in the common area of the Dominican Hall during
check-in.
In 1990, when he was named chief of the Toledo Fire Department, Michael Bell earned two distinctions: At the age of
thirty-five, he became the youngest fire chief among the nation's metropolitan fire departments. As an African
American, he also became the first such person to helm a major fire department in the state of Ohio.
Led homeland security efforts in Northwest Ohio following the tragic events of September 11, 2001
Earned Toledo Fire Department the prestigious Accreditation honor by the Commission of Fire Accreditation
Developed statewide ―Everyone Goes Home‖ initiative that won the Seal of Excellence Award by the Firefighter Life
Safety Initiatives Program.

All Courses are provided at no cost, but registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Space is limited. We reserve the right to cancel classes if minimum enrollment numbers are not
met to ensure proper program operation.

All courses are open to Michigan and Ohio emergency responders.
Fire continuing education (CE) credits are accepted for Michigan firefighters only.
EMS CE’s are approved for Michigan responders only.

Please bring materials to take notes.
Turn-out gear is required for all fire classes in the field. Please do not bring gear to classrooms.
Please park in designated areas only.
