Declared first safe & smart colony in Hyderabad west zone

Gautami Enclave is a residential community located at Botanical Garden road, Kondapur. The colony
has 55 apartments and is home to 1000 plus families & about 3000 residents. The colony residents have
got together and formed Gautami Enclave Residents Welfare Association (GERWA) to take care of the
welfare & day to day needs of the colony & its residents. The colony falls under the purview of the city
municipal corporation.
So far, the association has successfully taken many initiatives like CCTVs across the colony,
development of park, sports ground, chilren's area, jogging/ walking tracks, kerbing/ footpath
formation, planting more than 1000 trees across the colony, more than 100 water harvesting pits,
functioning street lights, LED street lights with support from the municipal corporation, and many
more. We were also declared a "Safe & Smart Colony" by the government and the Honorable Home
Minister of Telangana & Minister of IT had inaugurated the same in our colony.
However, the colony is facing a major water challenge that we are unable to overcome. Below are some
quick facts about the water challenge:

objective of this project is to reduce dependence on water tankers & over-come the water challenge.
The project seeks to reduce water wastage, optimise usage of water, harvest & recycle/ reuse
water.
