ADVANCED GUIDE
This guide is for MBot Grid II+ 3D printer users to level print plate,
pre-set Z offset and adjust compensation automatically.
The build plate is calibrated from the factory, where MBot Grid II+ has
recorded the heights of three checkpoints on the build plate. Every
time before printing, it will detect the three checkpoints and compare
heights with records. If the difference is within tolerance, the build
plate will move up and down accordingly to compensate during printing. So, although it is tilt, the distance between nozzle and the build
plate keeps the same. If the difference is beyond tolerance, youll
have to level manually and record the heights of three checkpoints.
After long-term use, frequent removal of build plate may cause it tilt,
which requires leveling.

AUTOMATIC COMPENSATION
*NOTES: This is for professional users.
1. Reset Values
Go to: Setup Probe Offsets. Set the following parameters to 0.000mm: Right Back Offset (RB),
Left Back offset (LB), Left Front Offset (LF), Right Front Offset (RF), Mid plate offset (MD). Turn the
knob to set values, clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease.

2. Test Print
Use MBot_Testprint_Quick.x3g in SD card to print.
There are 5 discs in test file. Place them at the outer corners and the middle of the build plate,

as the picture shown below.

Left Back Disc
Right Back Disc
Left Front Disc
Right Front Disc
Mid Plate Disc

3. Setup Values
a) Remove the build plate, but dont take away the discs. Compare the discs with the table
below, and set the corresponding values in Probe Offsets.
Example: The left back disc matches the picture with the value -0.100mm. In Setup Probe
Offsets LB Offset , and turn counterclockwise the knob to set LB -0.100mm.
b) If all the discs are worse than pictures between +0.200mm and -0.200mm, suggest
leveling again.
c) After all the offsets are set up, suggest printing another MBot_Testprint_Quick.x3g to verify

the tuning.

*NOTES: After the fine tuning, there will be slight differences between the discs. However,
it wont affect the printing quality. Now your can get back to printing your designs on a
perfectly calibrated MBot 3D printer!

Thanks again for choosing MBot personal 3D printer!
