JOB TITLE: ATHLETICS INTERN

DEN TITLE: Director of Game Day Operations Den President


Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Marketing this
student will coordinate a wide variety of projects associated with the UCLAs
student section, The Den. This student will serve as the head student in
charge of conducting Den official business, presiding over meetings,
providing leadership to the Den Roar Core Student Group, and serving as the
primary liaison between the students and the UCLA Athletic department. This
student will be responsible for working towards providing the best in-game
experience for UCLA Students at UCLA athletic events. The student will be
responsible for creating and executing a student centered promotional
calendar for 2016-17 UCLA Athletic events. The student will assist with
planning of special events including Champed Up, student watch parties,
student tailgates, and others. This position is seeking a creative student who
has ambitious ideas to further the student experience at UCLA athletic
events.

COMPENSATION
This position will begin with 150 volunteer hours. Once the 150 volunteer
hours are completed, the compensation will be $10/hour. Students will work
no more than 350 hours from their start date. Supervisor will work
individually with selected candidate to arrange summer work schedule (if
necessary) and how many hours they will work each week.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Runs the Den Roar Core and leads their weekly board and all member
meetings.
-Meets once a month with administration to discuss the state of the student.
Meetings will include a status update, attendance reports, upcoming events,
and pitches for any big ideas or funding requests.
-Oversee ballooning, big heads, free-throw distractions, signs, Frisbee chant,
etc.
Coordinate with UCLA spirit squad and band, to create the most energy in
the venue.
-Create promotional calendar for both theme nights, giveaways, etc.
-Coordinate Den staffing (flyering, giveaway distribution, special events, etc.)
-Work with SAC and student athletes to promote student-athletes supporting
other SAs at athletics events.
-Coordinate pre-game show at Football/ M. Basketball (work with DJ/ Emcee)
to include scripting, engagement, special announcements.
-Coordinate and organize new student tail-gating area at the Rose Bowl.
- Coordinate student ticketing program for Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas
-Responsible for generating new ideas to improve student game day
experience.

DEN TITLE: Director of Marketing and Campus Outreach Den Vice
President
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Marketing this
student will coordinate a wide variety of marketing projects associated with
the UCLAs student section, The Den. This student will serve as the head
student in charge of building student support and attendance at UCLA
Athletic events. This student will serve as the liaison between the Den and all
student organizations on campus including USAC, PAC, ORL, SAA, Greek Life,
and more. The student will be responsible for creating and executing a
student centered marketing plan for 2016-17 UCLA Athletic events. The
student will assist with marketing of special events including Champed Up,
student watch parties, student tailgates, and others. This position is seeking
a creative student who has ambitious ideas to promote UCLA athletic events
to UCLA students and organizations.

-Organize and manage a list of every campus organization/club. Target each
group to come out to Football and Mens Basketball for specific games. Use
less of the blanket market strategy but work on new targeted
organization/club strategy inviting them to go to specific games.
-Oversees all GolDen Game operations. Picking dates, creating promotions,
organizing marketing efforts, etc.
-Build upon current relationship with PAC Dance Marathon. Work with them to
get them out to sporting events.
-Oversee Greek life relations. Set up meeting with Greek Life offices and
work with members of Greek life to coordinate Greek nights at Olympic
sports. Work with Greek life presidents to bring their groups out to targeted
football and mens basketball games.
-Meet monthly with the Office of Residential Life and have presence at
weekly meetings. Coordinate all marketing efforts on the hill.
-Coordinate Greek Life and Residence Life BruWin Rewards challenges.
-Work with Director of Media and Creative Content to produce marketing
material (flyers, digital displays, table tents, banners, etc.)
-Work with USAC to collaborate on student outreach and initiatives.

JOB TITLE: ATHLETICS INTERN


DEN TITLE: Director of Creative Content
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Marketing this
student will coordinate a wide variety of creative projects associated with the
UCLAs student section, The Den. This student will serve as the creative
lead for all den photo, video, and design projects. This student will work on
game days to photograph and film the student section to produce content to
be used for marketing materials. Student will design graphics, create gifs,
and provide photos and videos for Den social media. The student will be
responsible for creating and executing creative and engaging content to
distribute out to the student body through the Dens various marketing
channels. This position is seeking a creative student with a background in
producing visual content.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must have photography/videography experience. Must be proficient in photo
and video editing and have working knowledge of software. Proficiency in
Photoshop is preferred.

-Work with administration to coordinate all Den-Social Media graphics videos
and photo strategy and posting. (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter,
etc.)
-Create graphics for e-mails and Den Social Media
-Launch and coordinate Den Media Presented by the Den. Name TBD will
be the media division of the Den. It will consist of filming short videos,
Instagram content, vine, and other media to keep Den engaged. Videos will
include game promos, highlights, student section footage, game day
instructional videos, and other creative content.
-Photograph and take video of the student section at athletic events. Edit
content and create albums and video content.
