Pipe markers provide sea vessel crew members with all of the
necessary information to safely operate around hazardous
materials. With visible safety signs and labels, the crew
members can act quickly and knowingly in case of a spill or
emergency . These codes are specifically stated according to
the ANSI A13.1,
In addition to the ANSI A13.1, the International ISO14726-1
standard defines the basic colors used for pipeline identification on board ships. Also, the ISO 1476-2 specifies
additional colors that can be used in conjunction with the main colors for more thorough marine pipe marking.
