Report Tour - Successful Beginning 1

On February 10, we began the first part of our report tour in Florida.
The wann welccroe given us was enhanced greatly by seeing Christian friends of long
standing after many years.

Dear friends, we need your help. We fully realize how high travel
expenses are and we do not have the funds to handle "motel living" vrtnle on the
road.

After much prayer and thought on the Word in Ecclesiastes, chapter

three..."There is a time to gather and a time to scatter"..-we feel God's will for
us is to "scatter". We cannot afford to maintain our rented mobile home while

traveling, so we are giving, storing, selling our few pieces of furniture, and
giving it up until we return to the Port of Brownsville in the Fall to continue
our work here.

It is just as the Lord premised...

"I tell you the truth, no one who has left hone or brothers or sisters or mother
or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a
hundred times as much in this present age (hones, brothers, sisters, mothers,
children eind fieldsand with them persecutions) and in the age to cone, eternal
life..."

Mark 10;29,30a

Please pray with us for sane kir^ of travel trailer and a vehicle large
enough to pull it (our car is too small). Not having to spend money on motel and
restaurant bills will itake it possible for us to complete our tour.

Anything God leads you to do to help will be humbly appreciated. We

have never owned a hone on either side of "the water", but God has always provided
a place to live and we praise Him for it.

We Praise God..

For Charles' continuing good health.

For God's family - you who listen and obey God's leading in your lives
as you help to keep the Good News of Christ flowing through people like us.
For our niece, Martha Burgess, who has graciously expressed her desire
to give us a hand and is now here with us.
That, God willing, we will see many of you in the next few months. We
plan to leave April 3 to meet confirmed dates and to "go where You want us to go.
Dear Lord." Already we are eager to return to the Port here in the Fall!
So, for now, God bless you real good... we know He does. And we thank
you for caring and sharing!

NEWS FRCM ITALYl

The Giuseppe Italiano family send their love ana

thanks for your many years of faithful prayers and

support and wish you all Seasons Greetings from Sunny

Italy.

Other good news;

Several new people are

studying the Scriptures with Giuseppe and attending

both Sunday and mid-week services regularly.
Of
special interest is a young man, Bruno, whose actions
make it clear that nothing is so important to him as
searching the Scriptures and learning God's will.
Please pray for Bruno and all these folks...and for
Giuseppe as he leads than.

He is 76 and the church here thinks

Early this year we began traveling and reporting to

our supporting churches. We saw family along the way
and
traversed Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma,
Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Although it was
really tiring, we enjoyed every minute of our time with
all of you.
Our plans were to return in August to

All his cancer tests this year are negative
and he is feeling fine and leaving the rest of us
behind, as usual (Hal).

Ivia is fine, except for her legs, but she works for
the Lord in various way fron hone, as well as being
involved in church activities.

Ray

Downen, our Forwarding Agent, has given us

another faithful year of service ^d we thank and

praise God for him. He joins us in wishing you all
good things for the coming year.

years.

But God's plans were different and in June, when we

reported here to the Boulevard Church of Christ, the

church invited us to come home where they "could take

care of us."

This was a real step of faith for both the church and
for us, since they have all they can handle

financially. So we must keep our support to stay here.

As usual, God's people have been listening to Him and
are faithfully continuing.
