ACHC Scope:

The certication program applies to forced-circulation

air-cooling coils under non-frosting conditions and forcedcirculation air-cooling and air-heating coils only intended for:
Field installation (built-up systems and duct-mounted
coils); and
Use in central station air-conditioning units

Certied Ratings:

Average total cooling or heating capacity, Btu/h [W]

Air pressure drop through coil at standard air density,
in H2O [kPa]
Water, or aqueous ethylene or propylene glycol
solutions pressure drop through coil (including
headers) at average uid density, ft of uid [m of uid]

Software Requirements:
Allow for selection of any certied product
All output sheets must list the software version
number

AHRI sends Certication Agreement
Sign and return the Certication Agreement
Submit Basic Model Group (BMG) form
AHRI will validate your BMGs
and establish the number of qualication tests
AHRI sends Participation and
License Invoice
Pay the Participation and
License Invoice
AHRI will coordinate testing logistics
Pass the tests
AHRI sends your Welcome Letter
Congratulations you are certied!
