The Surveillance System designs shall be such that no single component or wiring failure
shall cause a complete malfunction of the system with resilience provided by automated
failover mechanisms.
The MTBF for the systems shall be more than 25,000 hours with project supply voltage,
temperature, and humidity. The provided Surveillance System shall include the capability
to replace faulty units without affecting the functionality of other healthy sub systems or
components.
Maintainability
The Surveillance System shall include self-diagnostic algorithms to continually monitor the
health and status of the entire system, including wiring, and provide alarm annunciation for
detected aberrations.
The MTTR of the system shall be less than one (1) hour with the spares and technician
available on site.
Availability
The Surveillance System design shall utilize high availability technologies with intrinsic
availability for the provided equipment not less than 0.99996 where:
Availability (Intrinsic) = MTBF / (MTBF + MTTR)
Operational Availability shall not be less than 0.99990 where:
Availability (Operational) = MTBM / (MTBM + MDT)
