Sustainability Practices in Libraries

of Pakistan

Pakistan in among top ten countries of the world facing severe impact of climate change. To
minimize its adverse effects on environmental, awareness and mobilization of human resources
on this issue is mandatory. Libraries around the world are going green and are playing a very pivotal
role in educating the masses about the impact of climate change, environmental sustainability and
best practices. The core objective of this research is to understand the perceptions of library and
information professionals (LIS) about environmental sustainability and practices in Pakistani
libraries.
