What's Up, Doc? Check Out the Work of Famed Animator Chuck Jones

Summary (150 to 300 words)

This article talks about Chuck Jones and his exhibition. He is the mastermind of
famous cartoons like Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, the Roadrunner, etc. Chuck Jones is
an animator, cartoonist and director of animated films.
His travelling exhibition Whats Up, Doc? The Animation of Chuck Jones, opened in
New York on July 19, and will run six months before moving to its next location, it will
travel to 13 different locations and it ends in 2019.
Chuck Jones was born in Spokane, Washington, in 1912. His childhood was involved
with art and that is the reason he went to Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles. When
he graduated from there he went to Hollywoods studios and he became the youngest
director at Warner Brothers Studios in 1939. He stayed there until 1962, when the
animation department was shut down. That was the moment for his iconic creations,
Bugs Bunny to Wile E. Coyote, were shown.
The impact of Bugs Bunny in America was remarkable. Chuck gave him life. His
creations have to be able to perform in the same way as a live actor and that means
movements and expressions.
Chuck inspired a lot of art directors and one of them is John Lasseter, chief creative
officer at Pixar and the Toy Story cartoonist. John said that there are different ways
and methods to create cartoons, but you cant deny Chuck influence. His ideas
influence even in todays world.

Personal Opinion (Min. 50 words for 150-word summaries | Min. 100 words for
300-word summaries)
Its hard to believe that Chuck Jones influences still have the same impact in
these days that they had in the 60s.
Even my brother, who is 10 years old, likes Wile E. Coyote shows using those
A.C.M.E. products, trying to catch Roadrunner, failing and falling down.
In the other hand, I used to watch Dexters laboratory and Johnny Bravo. I really
enjoy watching Dexters laboratory because he always have to find a way to
deal with his old sister, Dee Dee; and Johnny Bravo because he usually thinks
that showing his muscles can get a girl that easily but he never could get one,
its funny how hard he tryes.
