INTRODUCTION

Our main aim to develop this project is to automate the various

activities of the school. The project School Management
System A Case Study of GGS Public High School
Mandi is designed once and can be updated many times, so the
burden of maintenance is short listed by some general guidelines:
The project consists of many number of tables and queries. Every table is
filled with specific data such as student information, result record. That will
provide us information as and when needed.
This project is very easy to user and simply editing the record does the
maintenance of the records. The project is secured by providing it with
password and access level for security purposes so that this software is used
properly and can be accessed by the authorized user only who knows the
password.

This project can fulfill the needs of :

1. Management
2. Staff
3. Students/Parents

OBJECTIVES

The main objectives of this project are:-

1. Keeping the records of the Students.

2. Keeping the records about the result of the student.
3. Calculation of the admission fee and monthly fee.
4. Keeping the records about the sports and cultural activities of the
school.

NEED OF PROJECT

SELECTION OF SOFTWARE FOR DESIGN

In this section to develop the proposed system whatever is the

software needed must be described here.
In this project we use Software:1. Microsoft Visual Basic.NET
2. MS-Access
3. Windows

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

1. Processor Pentium 4 or above

2. Monitor: - Color Monitor Having Pixel Setting (640*480), True colors.
3. Disk: - 40GB or more
4. RAM: - 512MB RAM or more
5. CD/DVD Writer
6. Mouse Keyboard
7. Printer

Limitations of the Project

When the task is accomplished after great effort, research and hard work
one is bound to think that the job done by one is flawless and has no
limitations, we thought the same after running this project many time, but
after a view time when experimented with various data fields we realized
that how difficult it was to prepare a perfect masterpiece. Our project
works successfully under certain conditions.

Following are the limitations of our project:1.

Graphically our project is not heart touching.
