ABSTRACT
The GIS are integrated sets of methods and means of computer, able to collect, verify, store,
manage, update, manipulate, retrieve, process, analyze, and display spatially referenced data
transfer from space to Earth.
These systems are formed by four entities that are best used when establishing a GIS study,
such as the geographical information located in a particular place, professional team who
manipulate the system, the software responsible for processing the data managed, procedures
and definitions of a result set that process. Allow the study of management and analysis,
creating images of a complex reality allowing the modeling of reality through remote sensing.
Natural events such as earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes, landslides, avalanches, epidemics
among others, may be hazardous to humans, these are largely the result of human actions that
increase the vulnerability of planet earth, but the sig have become the early warning that largely
prevents any loss or tragedy, taking action either disposal or remediation looming problem.
For a good result sig service provision should geographic information systems are so flexible
that can be used from the location of a place to search for a pet and be operated from anywhere
on the planet earth.
The geographic information system in different applications, among this mentioned the
environmental study, between the use of this tool knowledge is generated and analysis of
situations, also states as well as the interaction between local and global environments, the
biophysical processes and the human action on them. This paper presents the case of
application of geographic information systems in Colombia (application of the sig to the
evaluation of Habitat Conservation Status of Paujil of Pico Azul Crax alberti (Aves Cracidae ) , in
the northeastern of Antioquia , Colombia ), and practical case study developed in The Integrated
Public Transport System of Bogota D.C of delimiting area of direct influence of the impacts,

1. INTRODUCCION
Las actividades antrpicas que el hombre
desarrolla a diario, como desarrollo
empresarial, industrial y personal, produce
efectos e impactos ambientales, los cuales
pueden ser detectados a travs de los

actual es una sociedad de consumismo, que
no est dispuesta a investigaciones ni la
ciencia, porque en realidad est basndose
en encontrar todo resuelto y al alcance.
En el mbito tanto nacional como
internacional estos sistemas de informacin
