LEARN TO WALK BY FAITH

Deuteronomy 17:19, And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may
learn to fear the Lord his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes.
No one was born with great knowledge. We become what we are and it takes time, effort and
learning. Learn to walk by faith. If you are a person of great faith, great understanding, great
perception, you became what you are. Persevering faith and prayer are next to omnipotence and
persevering faith is achieved gradually, not automatically. Only faith pleases God. In everything we
do, faith counts. In our looking, sitting, speaking, thinking, faith counts. Therefore, if we must live to
please God, we must learn to walk by faith.
How does faith come? Faith comes when the Word prevails over our thinking processes.
That is why the Bible instructs us to meditate in the Word of God day and night, turning each word
over in our heart again and again. Such meditation brings revelation and with revelation, the spirit
acts on the Word. When the Spirit acts on the Word, our strength is renewed and we are recreated.
Faith is not a product of the reasoning faculties eyes, ears, nose, mouth or skin but of the recreated
spirit. When we are led by the recreated spirit, we have learnt to walk by faith and the world is under
our feet. The devil is roaming about like a hungry lion looking for whom he may devour, who has not
learnt to walk by faith. Unless you learn to walk by faith, you will be constantly defeated and
overcome by satan.
Dont let the devil catch you unprepared; learn to walk by faith in Christ Jesus.
PRAYER: Oh Holy Spirit, the source of faith, breathe in me, Your Word of faith.

GOD'S INSTRUCTION TO MAN

God's instruction to man is the Holy Bible and it is our standard of living as Christians. Indeed, it is God's
instruction, direction and revelation to us (2 Peter 1:21). We are to live by it. It is the only Book that can
transform lives. All other books can only inform you about events.
There is no area of discipline that is not in the Holy Bible. It is the Book of book s by which we chart our
course to salvation. Our Lord, Jesus Christ will not open His door to salvation to the one who keeps his
Bible shut.
It is the only Book that reads us even as we read it. In it, you see yourself clearly and this God who
created you. I am in it, you are in it, but most importantly, God is in it.

Prayer: My soul is waiting for you oh Lord. In Your Word is my salvation. Let Your Word bring it, in Jesus'
name.

Amen.

DECLARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE

As Christians, when our declaration comes from faith, our words become prophetic. It is natural as a
Christian to function in faith because that is the nature of our lives. Faith walks in the direction of genuine
confession. A negative confession puts failure on the throne.

Your confession is your present attitude towards the Father. If your confession is positive, then your
present attitude towards the Father is positive. If your confession is negative, then your present attitude
towards the Father is negative.

The life you live is as a result of your confession. But it is unfortunate that many did not confess failure but
they found themselves in the realm of failure. Why? Because their confession is not in harmony with
God's Word. Remember, you never confessed the life you are living now. For example, you confessed
success but you are living in failure. It means that, you confessed success but you are not such in heart.
That is, you confessed success but you strongly believe failure in your heart.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, give me the grace to always confess what I believe in my heart, in Jesus' name
Amen.

CHRISTIANS' ROADMAP
As Christians, the word of God is our roadmap when we are lost. When we are lonely, the word of God is
a friend closer than a brother. In the Word of God is our healing, deliverance, salvation and all of God's

blessings.
It is essential to know that, the word of God is the tool in the hands of the Holy Spirit to nurture us and to
furnish us with everything we need to succeed in life (Joshua 1:8-9). If the inspiration to speak does not
come from the Holy Spirit - I mean, if the word is not in the hands of the Holy Spirit, when you speak, you
will hear yourself, people around you will hear you but God Almighty will not hear you. In other words,
your word will be idle, meaningless and oftentimes destructive.
The word you have in your hands carries you beyond sense knowledge into the very presence of God.
Prayer: Oh Lord, open my eyes of faith to see that Your Word is the only effective instrument for a change,
in Jesus' name Amen.

OUR DAILY BREAD:

Do you ever wait till the end of the day before you have something to eat? If you were not fasting and had
the choice to eat or not to eat that day what would you do? It is rare, unless by unfortunate circumstance,
that we go a day without food. Our God says in Matthew 4:4 It is written: Man shall not live on bread
alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.
That means we need Gods Word to live on just as much as we need physical food. But some only take in
Gods Word in the evening or occasionally for reference in other words, they keep Gods Word on the
shelf not in their heart. As Joshua 1:8 says we are called to, Keep this Book of the Law always on your
lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be
prosperous and successful. Lets make Gods Word the standard for our lives and see the transformative
power of God reform our lives. Remember, keep Gods Word in your heart, not on your shelf.

"Someone out there is waiting for you for a lifetime. You cannot afford to fail them; failing them is failing
God. Remember, God is speaking to you through them saying:
'They are fatherless, so that you can be their father'.
'They are lonely, so that you can be their companion'.

'They are in want, so that you can be their benefactor'."

IN YOUR MISTAKE, DO NOT RUN FROM GOD
A humble and sincere heart will always run to God for correction wherever there is mistake or error in
order to move forward in life. In Acts 13:22, God testified concerning David that He had found David as a
man after His own heart. That is, David was always running to God for correction each time he made a
mistake - because he knew that God loved him enough to correct him. God saw in David a willing servant,
a faithful follower and a man of great perception, and He granted David's request.
A heart that always runs to God for correction is a willing heart, a humble heart and it is a useful
instrument in the hands of God. God always grant such heart forgiveness and another chance to make it
in life. If you make a mistake and you run to God genuinely for repentance and forgiveness, He will forgive
you and then give you another chance.
A willing heart gives no room for unnecessary excuses for his wrongdoings. He is always willing to admit
and make correction.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus give me the grace to run to You for correction, in Jesus' name!

FREE YOUR SPIRIT

This morning, take time to examine your spirit - that is, your heart. Many of us take extra care and
attention of our outward appearance but neglect the state of our hearts. Is your spirit free? Is your heart
available for God? Remember, our God is a jealous God. He does not want to share your heart with
anything or anyone. He wants to be the Landlord of your soul and not the tenant. Worldly considerations
often take our mind, focus and attention off God. Fleshly desires often cause worry and anxiety. When we
are worried, we cannot be sensitive or useful to the Spirit of God. When our spirit is not free, we cannot be
attracted to the Spirit of God or conscious of His presence.
One of the greatest hindrances to prayer is when our spirit is not free due to the activity of the evil nature
not yet crucified with Christ. If you have realized that your spirit is not free, it is not too late. Let Gods
Word refresh your mind and allow His Spirit to renew your strength. Remember, His goodness and mercy

in your life is neither scarce nor scanty for there is in Him an overwhelming fullness of grace
(Lamentations 3:21-26). Make a heart decision to live for Christ today and He will surely back you up, in
Jesus

name.

PRAYER: Oh Holy Spirit, Your grace is sufficient for me. Manifest Your strength in my weakness, in Jesus
name.

PEACE OF HEART
Joshua 1:8-9, This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and
night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way
prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Do you have success or good success? Yes, there is a difference. You can be a president with success or
with good success. You can be a lawyer with success or with good success. You can be an entertainer
with success or with good success. The difference is peace of heart.

Anything the children of light have, satan has the counterfeit of them. We have the original grace, peace,
success but satan has the photocopy of it, which cannot stand the test of time. That is why you can see
people who succeeded for a while suddenly come crashing down and the cycle of disappointment
continues in their lives. It is not that Christians will not face hard times but theirs is not such in heart. They
may be sick in body but not such in heart.
If God loves you, He will keep fear from you. That is, from your heart. Gods promise does not say He
would keep us free from cares and anxiety but that He would give us enough grace to stand and resist
those troubles that cause our anxieties, cares and unnecessary fears. That is peace of heart.
The peace of conscience we derive from walking with the Lord produces internal joy, assurance of life, the
security of Gods presence and ease of heart. Those who are inwardly pure show themselves to be under
the check and conduct of the Holy Spirit. True Christianity lies in the heart, in the purity of heart.
PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to keep the Words of the Holy Spirit in my mind, mouth and every
conversation, in Jesus Christs name.

"I want to assure you - as a Christian, the HIGHER HAND that is leading you is leading you towards
something HIGHER! Don't give up; YOUR TESTIMONY is on the way!"

COMMIT YOURSELF TO THE GLORY OF GOD

We, children of God, must act under the guidance and government of the Holy Spirit. Gods Word must be
our rule while His grace must be our principle. We must allow ourselves to be ruled by His Words and His
grace to be our principle.
For God does nothing without His Word.

One day the evil spirit answered them, Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you? Then the
man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that
they ran out of the house naked and bleeding (Acts 19:15-16).

The seven sons of Sceva took it upon themselves to exercise the name of Jesus but not as those who
had veneration for Christ and a confidence in His name. They did it as those who wished to make a show,
demonstrate power for the sake of boasting, fame, money. They tried to use the power of God at their own
will and the Bible says the evil spirits sent them out naked and bleeding

The name Jesus has power indeed but only among those who are committed to the glory of God. The
name of Jesus Christ is not to be used as an instrument to get results. It is not to be used at our own will
for our own purposes but at His will and for His glory. Let he who glories not glory in himself but in the
Lord. There is no room for any mans boasting of his own ability and power for all power belongs to the
Lord.
PRAYER: Grant unto my soul, oh Lord, more devotion, more commitment, more dedication to Your Word
so I may be active in Your worship and strong in Your service, in Jesus name.

BLOCK THE AVENUE SATAN USES TO AFFLICT YOU

2 Corinthians 12:10, Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in
distresses, for Christs sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

What are your challenges now? Apostle Paul says that his challenge was his weakness, not his hardship,
sickness or trouble. God wants you to be an overcomer but He will not come down from Heaven to do for
you what you must do for yourself. You are to show your genuine willingness as someone who wants to
come to Jesus. God always leaves us to play our role before He rescues us. What effort have you made
to stop your bad character on your own before God comes to your rescue? Your genuine willingness
plus Gods ability brings about salvation.

Today, the problem we are having is that when we stop our bad habits, we want Gods intervention
immediately. Unless we pray against our weaknesses, we are bound to be tormented by the urge to return
to our bad characters. The devil uses our weakness to tempt and attack us to eternal ruin. Therefore, we
must block the avenue satan uses to afflict us. When you keep praying against your weaknesses, you will
keep on resisting them. When you are under the domination of satan, when you are weak, then you are
weak. But when you are under the supervision of the Holy Ghost, when you are weak, then you are
strong.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, by Your divine favour and mercy, manifest Your strength in my weaknesses,
in Jesus name.

A CHANCE TO GROW:
Jesus said, "I pray that your faith should not fail". This means as a believer, your faith will be tested. That
you have inner joy does not mean that you will not be tested. What is testing your faith right now? Your
situation is a test of faith. Trouble is an instrument to that can help our relationship with God grow.
When your faith is tested, your relationship with God has a chance to grow; your endurance has a chance
to grow. Patience reveals God's time. God's response is not for those in a hurry. That is, victory is not for
those who quit but for those who endure. Your time cannot change God's time or program. God's time is
the best.
Remember, there can be no promotion without tests. There can be no improvement without tests. When it
is time to go up, it is time to be tested.

PRAYER POINT: O Holy Spirit, take more of me and give me more of You in Jesus Christ's name.

SHOW ME YOUR FRIENDS

The Bible reveals that there are four types of people in your life: Those who add to, subtract, multiply and
divide your life. What type of friends do you keep? In Daniel 3, we see three friends with a difference friends of faith who encouraged each other to endure every hardship, trial and difficulty that came for what
they believe - for they knew that of all graces, faith honors God the most. Shadrach, Meshach and
Abednego answered and said to the king, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it But even if he
does notwe will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up. (Daniel 3:16).
Their faith brought Jesus on the scene and when the king saw it, he promoted Shadrach, Meshach and
Abednego in the province of Babylon (Daniel 3:30).

These were the friends of Daniel, who later encountered a den of hungry lions in Daniel 6. Like his friends
of faith before him, he discovered that active faith will make those things which are against us to be for us.
He stood his ground in the face of threats to his life, exercising great faith for whom he believed and the
king issued a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel
(Daniel 6: 26).

Daniel made a difference in his world through his consistent faith in Christ Jesus. Alongside Shadrach,
Meshach and Abednego, the friends of faith, they changed lives, changed nations and indeed changed
the world through the profession of their faith.
You who are looking for a true friend, do not choose a friend because they possess beauty, strength or

wealth; choose those who possess the charisma or gift known as faith who are able to do what seemed
otherwise impossible, in Jesus name. Show me your friends; I will show you who you are.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, grant me the grace to keep the company of good people who will encourage me to
grow in my faith in You, in Jesus name.

THERE IS NO NEUTRAL REWARD

Today, nearly everybody lacks self-fulfillment. Some believe that the reason they are not fulfilled is
because they got married to the wrong person. Others because they have abandoned their own dream to
follow somebody elses dream; while some others blame their family background as the cause of their
failure in life. But the Bible does not say that we are created to be a failure or unfulfilled! The Bible says
that we are created to be a success!

For you to be fulfilled and successful, you must live your Christian life the way you began it, because the
beginner is not the owner but the finisher. In Revelation 2:4-5, the Bible says, "Yet I hold this against you:
You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things
you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place".
The problem we have today is that we accept the name of Jesus Christ, but not the life of Jesus Christ
and when we are not satisfied with our Christian life, we begin to complain. No one can do like Jesus
Christ unless he lives like Jesus Christ. Everything in your life is a reward. You are either rewarded for
your righteousness or for your sin. There is no neutral reward!

HAVE FAITH IN GOD

It is surprising to see what faith people have in wrong things. Some people have faith in their own physical
ability as was the case with Goliath when he faced the small shepherd boy, David. Others have faith in
their worldly possessions like the rich young man in Matthew 19 who could not separate himself from his
riches. There are also those who have faith in the power and might of the sword like the Egyptian army
when they pursued the Israelites at the Red Sea.

Look at Jesus answer in Mark 11: 22 23 Have faith in God, Jesus answered. Truly I tell you, if anyone
says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in their heart but believes that
what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
This means God is the Source of our faith. God is the Giver of faith. As Christians, we have faith and we
increase in faith through Him because He is the Source of our faith. As faith people, faith is something we
have by our very nature. God has given us the measure of faith, the Spirit of faith and the Word of faith we
would require to live for Him.
Therefore, if you discover that your faith is not enough, you can ask God to add to your faith. We are not
asked to look inward to see how much faith we have but we are asked to look to God and take from Him
the faith we need to live for Him here and now. It is easy to increase your faith through Him and to have
faith through Him because He has a nature that makes it easy for men to trust in Him. Upon our own
strength we cannot rely, we simply have to trust Someone greater, smarter and wiser than ourselves
Jesus Christ.

RUN THE RACE WELL

GALATIANS 3:3-4, Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by
the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vainif indeed it was in vain?
We are often tempted to sit back in our setback and wallow in our self-pity when tired of all the cheap
shots and battles. However, our former services and sufferings for Christ should be an argument with us,
faithfully to persevere to the end in our attendance on Him. Have we followed Him so far and so long,
done so much and laid out so much for Him and shall we forsake Him now? When our faith is tested, our
endurance is given a chance to grow. When we are restrained from doing what we would, we must do
what we can in His service.
When Christ was in His sufferings, the best of His friends were but spectators and onlookers. If we be
thus looked strangely upon, remember our Master was so before us. The crown Christ wore and with
which He was crowned sanctifies and makes easy every thorn in the flesh which we may be afflicted with.
We must know the fellowship of His suffering for us and patiently submit. It is not just enough to profess
Christianity; we must run the race well by giving up to that profession.
PRAYER: All who run a race run but one receives the prize. Father, give us the grace, character and
integrity to run the Christian race in such a way that we may obtain it, in the name of Jesus Christ.

DO NOT ENGAGE IN IDLE WORDS

As a child of God, when you speak negatively about a situation, you are worsening it and are not doing

anything to revive it. Have you learnt to refrain from speaking negative words or idle words? Remember,
with your words, you constantly paint a public picture of your inner self. Your word are capable of drawing
people towards you or driving people away from you.
As a Christian, whatever happens to you, God is aware. He is aware of your injustice, sickness, poverty or
setback. He will not leave you without justice, healing, blessing or breakthrough. So, each time things go
contrary to your expectation, it would be too soon to complain and begin to engage in idle words against
yourself or your fellow human being. That situation may be to take you to a new level in life.
Your words are capable bringing you blessings or denying you denying you blessings. Words are the
bridge to your future. War begins because of words. Fight begins because of words. Friendship begins
because of words. Love begins because of words. Your words reveal the kind of heart you possess.
Prayer: Oh Lord, keep watch over the doors of my lips, my tongue controlled today, in Jesus' name, Amen.

THE RULER OVER ALL

1 Chronicles 29:12-13 - Both riches and honour come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is
power and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. Now therefore, our God, we
thank You and praise Your glorious name.
God has ordered all so that the whole shall appear to be by grace. This means that everything we have is
actually only being borrowed from God. How does that strike you? Everything you have comes from God
and everything you will receive in your future will come from Him as well.
What do you have? It all came from Him. It appears that all is of grace because all our spiritual
advantages are from Him. Our faith, conversion, eternal salvation are not the mere products of any natural
ability or power. Whoever is great among men, it is Gods hands that made them so and whatever
strength we have, it is God that gave it to us. The best man in the world maintains his position no longer
than God upholds him in it.

and strengthen all. Strengthen Your Church by the power of Your Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ we

ITS TIME TO MAKE BIG PLANS

Are you at the right place? Are you fulfilling the occupation of your destiny? The will of God for us is to
prosper in all areas of our lives: spiritual, emotional, financial, marital etc (Jeremiah 29:11). Dont limit
yourself; you were created to be great just as the apostles in the Bible were great and left legacys that
still change our lives today.
Some of us have been living within a four foot ceiling when the sky is the limit. It is time to learn to dream
again; it is time to make big plans. To learn to dream again is to look to God. To learn to dream again is to
re-adjust your focus on God because He is the owner of your dreams. When you live within a four foot
ceiling, you are reducing your destiny by living in the past and allowing your circumstances and what
people say to dictate your direction. Dont limit yourself. If God has given you a dream or vision and it is
opposed by men, dont reduce your vision, believe in that God given dream and follow it. Pay any price to
protect your focus and you will achieve your dream the way Joseph achieved his dream on his way to the
throne.
Jesus began in a stable but He did not stay there, He moved on. To discover new oceans, you need to
lose sight of the shore. Take a different direction in order to achieve a different solution.
In order not to end up like the masses out there who are merely wandering and unsure of their goals and
dreams, your objective must be clear. When your purpose is clear, your life will have meaning.

THE DEVILS CHATROOM: Secrets Of Cyberspace Crime!

It is clear that the devil has infiltrated social media to perpetrate the most heinous activities one can
dream of. The Internet, a good resource and networking base, has unfortunately become a conduit for the
most sophisticated crimes in the world. Many banks and corporations have lost huge sums of money,
while many individuals have been duped of their hard-earned cash by people they met on the cybernetwork. The executor comes in sheeps clothing, seeking friendship and later asking for what would
appear a very innocent favour, just to deceive and strike a vicious blow when one least expects.
Such was the scandalous lifestyle of Benson, a Nigerian living in Ivory Coast. Born in 1976 in the midwest

of Nigeria, he grew up to become an Internet fraudster. But behind the mischief was another malevolent
being a demon, which gave him the knack for hacking and raiding the Internet to perpetrate terror.
Born and raised in a polygamous and idol-worshipping home of four mothers, Benson was the first born
from his mothers side. From a very young age, he watched his father serve an iron god known as Idigun,
while his mother had her own deity, Olokun, a marine spirit. Unwillingly, he would join the family in an
infamous ritual, which involved bludgeoning dogs, cooking and eating them in a sacrificial act to their
family gods.
Little did he know that although he detested such diabolical exercises, the two idols had nonetheless
possessed him and would soon begin to torment him through criminal acts such as taking of illicit drugs.
He also found himself lusting for women wherever he went, and joined one of the most notorious cult
groups, Black Axe, while at university.
It was through this bad company that he was introduced to Internet fraud, at a time when he needed
breakthrough, which was hard to come by. For 13 years, powered by the family idols, he prowled the
Internet. He patronised dating sites, searching for potential victims, on the pretext of looking for love.
When the friendship gathered steam, matured and trust was established, the unsuspecting victims would
be cunningly defrauded of their money.
Sometimes, he would use search engines to look for email addresses of naive individuals. He would send
them emails with touching stories they would fall for. He had a deceitful template he would send out in
bulk, depicting a girl in her twenties who owned millions of dollars left for her by her wealthy late father.
This girl would be looking for someone to help her transfer the funds from a dormant account to a safer
off-shore account. Whoever agreed to help her would receive a hefty financial reward. Often, the girl
would hail from a war-torn country and her father, a former top government official or private individual, but
one who was filthy rich before his death or assassination. Blindfolded by the smell of easy money, gullible
people would not see what hit them the moment they got involved.
Another format depicted a sick old woman whose husband, also a rich man, left huge sums of money for
her. About to die, she would seek to give the money away. She would have about one month to live and
before she died, she must have the money transferred to charity or otherwise. As soon as a person
showed interest, the game of defrauding would start.
Largely enticed at the prospects of getting rich overnight rather than the desire to help, those involved
would be stripped to the last penny. They would be connected to a fake bank where they would soon
begin to lose money through remittances in an attempt to have the said funds transferred. Unknown to the
victim, it would be the same fraudster, Benson, and a friend, playing the role of bank manager and his
associate.
In some instances, he played the role of a beautiful girl looking for a man to marry online. He had
hundreds of nude pictures from pornographic sites. These pictures he used in fooling men. In no time, he

would begin proposing to travel to the potential victims country. Here is when the scam would really get
going, as he would be asking for money to help with air tickets and other itineraries.
In yet another strategy, he had sophisticated illegal software which he secretly installed on public
computers in cyber cafes. Back home, he would be able to follow every transaction by every person using
the bugged computer. Such information he would use to dupe people through impersonation.
He had many people on his hit list and, unlike many of his colleagues in the trade, he netted the biggest
catches. He even internationalised his network, with people representing him in other countries,
particularly Europe.
He had become a master par excellence in his trade, to the extent that he duped people from across the
globe of huge sums of money, which he deposited in various bank accounts holding tens of thousands of
US Dollars.
Unknown to Benson, it was the evil spirits connected to the family idols that had possessed him and aided
his nefarious gimmicks.
No Free Lunch With The Devil Satan gives with one hand and snatches back with the other. It did not
matter how much money he made, he squandered it on beer and women patronising bars and strippers.
He started throwing the money around, as if it were scrap paper.
As he caused others to suffer, the demon also caused him to suffer. At one point, he was arrested while
collecting $5,000 USD at a money transfer agency. Sometimes, he spent months in prison and would lose
all of his ill-gained money in trying to get out.
The risky and evil life he led, defrauding people, resulted in a life fueled by fear and playing hide and seek
with the police wherever he went. He returned to Nigeria and strange things started to happen under the
influence of the crafty Idigun.
If he bought a car, he would ride it for a few weeks and it would develop mechanical problems. The more
money he made, the more the problems. When he tried to invest in land, he lost everything. He would
spend huge sums of money to purchase land and, from nowhere, another person would come with
documents, claiming ownership of the land. He started building a house but clashes over the property led
him to abandon the project after investing a large amount.
He also had been at the receiving end of evil attacks, dreaming of the two family idols, Idigun and Olokun,
fighting over him. Idigun would have two heads, a human and a dogs, while Olokun appeared with human
male and female heads.
Free At Last! He realised then that he was in deep trouble and the downward spiral his life had taken
pointed to a bitter end. He knew he would be completely destroyed without divine intervention. He decided

then to come to The SCOAN, accompanied by his younger sisters.

On that phenomenal day, the Man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua offered a prayer of rescue. It was such a
powerful prayer that after others sat down at the end of the session, Benson remained in fervent prayer.
He prayed that his case would not escape the anointing of God and the moment came. As Wise Man
Christopher stretched his hand in his direction, the once calm man snappily dressed in suit, contorted and
suddenly changed into a wild and angry being. Light had caught up with the dark creatures illegally
residing in him. It was now just a matter of time before the demons were cast out.
The dirty spirit in him, unable to withstand the power of the Holy Spirit, ruptured and spoke: "I am the
Idigun in the family. His father dedicated him to me. I gave him the spirit of stealing on the Internet and
made him a professional. He collects money from foreigners Canada, Europe, Pakistan, India and all
over the world.
The demons confessed all the evil they had caused him and the destruction they had perpetrated in his
life. According to the idol, some of Bensons victims had committed suicide.
He is the instrument I am using to make people suffer, said the idol. Benson was delivered, in the mighty
name of Jesus Christ. He returned the following week, looking splendid and immaculately dressed. With
him were his family members. He thanked God for his deliverance, but not without a warning to those
abusing the Internet: Those in my former state, you have nothing to gain; all you get is trouble. Surrender
yourself to Jesus. Only Jesus Christ can set you free.
This deliverance is a dramatic exposure of the ugly claws behind numerous frauds that reduce rich people
into paupers, while turning notorious criminals into instant millionaires of dirty money that eventually ruin
them. Today, free and saved, he lives a happy life away from Internet fraud, womanising and drugs. He
has given his life to Christ and warns that evil begets evil and everything that starts dubiously, ends
dubiously.

THE POWER THAT WORKS IN US

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us...
Note the word, do in this text. We are doers of the Word but you say, How can I do it? It is going to be
according to the ability of God that is at work within us. As we begin to do the Word, He begins to do in us
and through us. God is building Himself into us, making Himself a part of us as the Word dominates, rules
and sanctifies our spirit natures. To the extent in which we think the thoughts of Christ, to that same extent
we have the power of God.
PRAYER: Oh Holy Spirit, come into our hearts and make it Your dwelling place, in Jesus' name.

SEEMING SOLUTIONS:
Throughout human history, man is always in need of one thing or the other. Because of that need, people
today sacrifice their future for their present. I mean, they would choose temporary pleasure, rather than
permanent gain. For example, someone who is very poor and looks for a better condition in life, is
tempted to get a bank loan without considering how he is going to pay it off. Or a lady that is facing
lateness in marriage is tempted to get married to the first man that comes her way - if you take your time
to study our society, you will discover this truth. But in Proverbs 14:12 the Bible says, There is a way that
seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
When you look around today, it does not take long to realise that we live in an impatient generation, where
dreams crash daily on the rocks of temptation. Many Christians today, have changed the cause of the
history of their life, because they did not wait for Gods time and they jumped into a hasty seeming
solution. A seeming solution will leave you worse off than before. A seeming solution is not a solution at
all. A true Christian is not anyone who begins to look for alternatives and seeming solutions whenever
there is trouble; a true Christian is anyone who depends on Gods grace and puts his trust in Christ alone
for salvation.
PRAYER: "Oh Lord, use my situation to preserve me for my proper position and possession, in Jesus'
name!"

ONLY PASSING THROUGH

King David went in and sat before the Lord; and he said: Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house,
that You have brought me this far? (2 Samuel 7:18)
Have you ever wondered what will become of you in the future? Have you ever thought to yourself,
Imagine life was over, what next? Sometimes, we are so busy with our everyday affairs that we dont
take the time to reflect on such important questions. There must be a quiet time when you sit down and
imagine If this life is over, what is next? What you have never experienced before, think about that. Think
of those who have gone - friends, colleagues or relatives who have gone. Think about what they left
behind and where they might be now.
Remember as Christians, this world is not our home; we are only passing through. What will people
remember you for? What legacy will you leave behind? You have seen your friends, colleague, relations
who are younger or older than you being buried. When you sit down and think about this, you will have
reasons to say, Thank You, Lord. You will begin to live each day as if it were your last.

EXERCISE FAITH AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR WORLD

In Genesis 1, a Spirit spoke and the Word became flesh. The Word, a Spirit, spoke, Let there be light
and there was light. In Matthew 8, the Word, a Spirit, spoke and rebuked the wind and the sea and there
was a great calm and the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this that even the winds and
the sea obey Him! The Word of God is the tool, the instrument in the hands of the Holy Ghost to heal
you, bless you, prosper you, make you one with a difference and cause you to make a difference. But how
many, because the Word does not prevail, do not make a difference?
In 1 Samuel 17, the whole host of Israeli soldiers could not make a difference in the battle with the
Philistines. But one young, rustic shepherd boy did. Why? Because the Word prevailed over his thinking
processes. The Word gained supremacy over his mind and what he nursed in his mind became real in
time.
Make the decision today to think more, like David did. His only refuge was this command of Jesus, Only
believe. He believed that Gods Word was God speaking to him that day and it was not hard for him to
obey. Obedience is the only proof of your faith in Him. Exercise faith and make a difference in your world,
thereby.
PRAYER: Oh Lord, give me the grace to make Your Word an integral part of my thoughts, my words and

my actions so that I may make a difference in my world.

BLUEPRINT FOR THE NATIONS - L.G. Wise, USA

The following is the moving testimony of L.G. Wise, a former drug dealer turned Gospel artiste, whose
faith in Christ was revolutionized after a visit to The SCOAN.
"After being rejected by my father and times being too difficult for my teenage mother to raise me, I soon
turned to the streets for what I lacked at home. It was at my lowest point in life that God showed me that
through my lack of self-awareness and wrong choices, I had made major mistakes that had led to
hardcore consequences. I began to understand that life had dealt me some hurtful blows and in return, I
did what I knew well, which was to hurt others. This is when I began to understand that hurt people, hurt
people. After reflecting on life, I was awakened to the fact that we are born choosers and not losers,
chosen by God to fulfil a purpose.
"Now, as an international Christian rap artist and motivational speaker in schools, juvenile detention
centres, prisons and communities, I speak and perform for more than a quarter of a million teens a year.
By Gods grace, I have inspired multiple thousands of young people with the message of Christ, antibullying, self-awareness and right choices in the US, Canada, England, Belize, and Bahamas. I reach and
relate to teens of all backgrounds due to my various life experiences. Teens find the message captivating
and the music inspiring.
"After 20 years of reading the Bible and about Gods Generals, I began to question, Where are the
generals of today? Where can the weak receive help and deliverance from curses? I woke up one
morning and began searching for old footage of Gods Generals online to read and watch. I stumbled
across a YouTube clip of a man being prayed for and raised from the dead; it was the ministry of Prophet
T.B. Joshua. Seeing this one video caused me to go on a great search for more videos of deliverance,
healing and teachings by the prophet. Not only was I amazed by the miracles, I was intrigued that the
majority of his team were youth. It showed me that the prophet has fathered and nurtured a generation.
This indeed was the answer to my question, Where are the Generals of today?
"Three of my children suffer from a very rare genetic disorder named Infantile Refsum Disease which
constantly landed us in hospital numerous times each year. While visiting The SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria
about three years ago, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave me a word of prophecy at the Sunday Service. The
prophecy was in reference to how my children and I had been attacked and affected by a generational

curse. The prophet prayed for me and I felt a purifying, flashing light (like that of a camera flash) inwardly
and then found myself on the floor. I knew I had been touched by God.
"I also had the opportunity to see the prophet before leaving Nigeria to return home to the US. He told me
many other things that gave me clear direction for my life. He also blessed me with Anointing Water and
Anointing Stickers, as well as supporting me financially. It was a time and experience that will forever be
engraved into my mind and heart of true service to the Lord.
"Upon my return, I found many hindrances in our lives had been removed. For example, we havent had to
check into hospital once in over three years!
"My wife and I for years would also try to do our part in the world by assisting many young men and
women with shelter, food, etc until they were able to stand on their own. A lot of this was accomplished
by providing them with employment through our auto detailing service. We never had a lot of customers in
over 15 years of business. However, once I returned from Lagos, Nigeria visiting The SCOAN and being
ministered to by the prophet, our auto detailing business immediately went from about 15 customers per
month to over 200 customers per month. This growth has enabled us to provide housing and employment
for many young people who were once in the destructive street life and incarceration.
"Many are trying to figure out the problem with our youth today. Just as in Matthew 20:6, a question was
asked to those standing outside of a vineyard, Why have you been standing out here, idle, all day? The
response was, No one will hire [believe or invest in] us. This is the condition of the youth problem today.
If you are to look clearly at the ministry of The SCOAN and Emmanuel TV, you will see that many of the
worship team is comprised of young men and women, the majority of the camera crew and evangelists
are young people, and the Wise Men are young men. They are all taught to serve the elderly and
humanity. Prophet T.B. Joshua, by the grace of God, has become a blueprint for nations, parenting,
fathering and nurturing the next generations.
"In our nation, we often see the church ignoring the youth which pushes them to be accepted in the world
instead of in the church. Now, we are in a state where the youth do not want church at all because they
see a form of godliness but no power, which is love. If other individuals, families, organizations, ministries,
and countries will follow this act of love, we can rescue the next generations from the entrapment of
killing, stealing and destroying.
"I continue to watch Emmanuel TV and tune in every Sunday via the internet for the live services at The
SCOAN. I realise even more that Prophet T.B. Joshua is the most humble man Ive ever met, making the
Gospel so simple by aiming to love as God loves by grace. I can only speak for my generation that many
of us have operated in the form of godliness but denying the power thereof. I can clearly see Christs
power and love operating in the prophet, The SCOAN and Emmanuel TV."

WORDS MAKE OR BREAK

There is power in your mouth. The belief in your heart is released by faith out of your mouth. In Matthew
12:33-37, the Bible tells us that the words we speak determine the life we enjoy. The words we speak
create the blessings and curses that come our way. If you examine your life, you will see that your life is a
photograph of your past and present confession.
Our mouth is a revealer of the belief in our heart. If you believe that your life will be overcome by defeat
and failure and you confess it, you will have what you say. Likewise, if you believe and confess that you
are the greatest product of the Holy Spirit and that God has created you to be the head and not the tail no
matter the situation you find yourself in, you will have what you say. Our hearts and mouth need to get into
one accord with the Word of God, only then can the blessings in Gods Word be tapped.
PRAYER: Lord, sanctify my mouth and heart so that my words will be in one accord with your Word. Help
me to refrain from speaking idle words that do not bring You glory, in Jesus name. Amen.

THERE IS A GREATER REASON NOT TO BE TROUBLED

In John 16:33, Jesus Christ said, "Be of good cheer! I have overcome the world." What does this
expression mean to you and me? Jesus Christ is simply saying here that, though there are reasons to be
troubled but there is a greater reason not to be. Though we are in the world, we are not part of it. In the
world, there are troubles, sicknesses, disappointments, failures, setbacks and the like.
These are the reasons to be troubled. But Jesus Christ says, "Be of good cheer! I have overcome the
world." In other words, Jesus Christ is saying that, He has overcome sickness and has given us healing;
He has overcome failure and has given us success; He has overcome poverty and has given us blessing;
He has overcome bondage and has given us freedom. This is a greater reason not to be troubled.
PRAYER: Whatever chain satan might have used to connect me to himself - chain of sickness, poverty,
failure - be broken, in Jesus' name!

CONFIDENCE BORN OF FAITH

It is true that confidence is a character trait of successful people, but there are two different kinds of

people. Those who have self-confidence and those who have confidence born of faith. Self confidence is
based on position, power, wealth and fame. But the confidence of a believer is based on the finished
works of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
2 Samuel 16:5-10, Now when King David came to Bahurim, there was a man from the family of the
house of Saul, whose name was Shimei the son of Gera, coming from there. He came out, cursing
continuously as he came. And he threw stones at David and at all the servants of King David. And all the
people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left. Also Shimei said thus when he
cursed: Come out! Come out! You bloodthirsty man, you rogue! The Lord has brought upon you all the
blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned; and the Lord has delivered the kingdom into
the hand of Absalom your son. So now you are caught in your own evil, because you are a bloodthirsty
man! Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king?
Please, let me go over and take off his head! But the king said, What have I to do with you, you sons of
Zeruiah? So let him curse, because the Lord has said to him, Curse David. Who then shall say, Why
have you done so?
In this situation, we can see that the confidence of King David was not based on his position, power or
wealth. He could have easily punished Shimei, but he rather left the battle for God.
One with self-confidence is ready and prepared to use any means to protect that confidence because it is
based on power and might. He is a type that would stop at nothing to protect his position. There is nothing
he cannot do to protect his position. If it is to join a cult, he is ready. If it is to send hired killers after his
suspected rivals, he is ready. If it is to use close relationships or children for a ritual, he is ready. He can
do anything to protect his self-confidence.
Self-confidence is arrogant and proud but a confidence born of faith is meek and humble. He who has a
confidence born of faith depends wholly on God for everything. The life he lives in the body, he lives by
faith in the Son of God who has paid the price of redemption on the Cross. (Galatians 2:20)

YOUR PROCESSING
James 1:21-22,Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness
the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only,

deceiving yourselves.
You cannot be greater than your processing. Every time you think negatively, you speak negatively and
act negatively. The process of believing is in three stages: our thoughts must reflect our belief, our words
must reflect our belief and our actions must reflect our belief. But as the demon possessed boys father
realized in Mark 9:23-24, our belief must be reset to Christs standard of belief. To reset our belief is to
follow the way of the Cross in Joshua 1:8-9, to keep the Word in your mouth, meditate on it day and night
and do what the Word says. If the Word of God enters your heart, the Spirit acts on the Word. When
theSpirit acts on the Word of God in your heart, you live in the process of Gods mind and act according to
His will. Meditation in the Word of God makes it a part of you. If you want everything about you to reflect
Gods nature, you must read the Bible slowly, attentively and repeatedly; you must meditate in the Word of
God.
PRAYER: Lord, set a watch upon my lips, my tongue control today, help me to evaluate each thought and
guard each word I say, Amen.

WHEN THE SON OF MAN COMES

Luke 18:1, 6, He told them a parable, urging them to keep praying and never grow discouraged Mark
My words: God will intervene fast with vindication. But heres the question: when the Son of Man comes,
will He find anyone who still has faith?
God is in all ages, gathering into Himself a generation of spiritual worshippers those who worship in love
and faith. Faith without love is dead. Love is the greatest virtue. God is love and those who live in love live
in God and God in them. Satan can fight anything but he cannot fight love. There has never been a battle
where hatred overcomes love. When we love, we overcome. The devil begins to succeed when he takes
love from among the people. Once love is gone, God is gone. Today, people are no longer their brothers
keepers.
'I pray your faith will not fail' means that we will face a challenge that will make people abandon their faith.
It is not that we have no faith or less faith but Jesus was warning us that our faith would be challenged in
a unique way. When our faith is tested, our endurance has a chance to grow. Do not allow self-pity to hold
you back, no matter your situation, Jesus is at work. Your deliverance, healing and freedom is as close as
your mouth. Dont let the devil get you out of faith.

PRAYER: All spirits from my past that are hindering my present and my future, come out, in the name of
Jesus!

THINK ABOUT THE WORD

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is
pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of
praise, think about these things.
A man is what he thinks about all day long. A mans life is what his thoughts make it.The mind is renewed
by studying the Word and acting upon it. The more you read the Bible, the more you think about what you
have read and the more you become familiar with Gods voice. The more you think about Gods Word, the
more your spirit acts on the Word. When the mind becomes saturated with it, a new way of thinking and a
new life are the result.
Prayer: Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my
strength and my Redeemer, in Jesus name.

INPUT EQUALS OUTPUT

Input equals output. What happens in your mind happens in time. So what are you filling your mind with?
It is the thoughts of God and His victory or is it fear, doubt and insecurity? When you think about food, you
will soon start looking for what to eat. If you are thinking about success, you will soon start thinking about
how to make it. You are responsible for what you give your attention to. You can choose to be faithful to
God through good or unfaithful if you will. There are many foods to eat, there are many ways to get what
you want but to eat; to make it in a way that is pleasing to God, you must go the way of the Book - it is a
light to our path and a guide to our feet. Psalm 119:105, Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my
path.
Remember, anything that starts dubiously will end dubiously so start well by beginning with God and
continue to include Him in every decision you make.

THE REAL THING ABOUT YOU

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The
LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD
looks at the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7)
One day, the body will return to dust but your spirit will continue living hereafter in the Kingdom of God
with our Lord, Jesus Christ. So, the real thing about you is not your body or flesh but your spirit. If the real
thing about you is your spirit, then you are supposed to give more attention to your spirit. Faith is not of

mans body or flesh but of mans heart or spirit. In the Bible, the spirit and heart are the same. Pay
attention to Gods Word by meditating on it because Gods Word is Spirit and life. The Word of God has
the ability to develop a spiritual force in the heart or spirit of man called faith. Faith is what makes you one
with God and only faith pleases God.
PRAYER POINT: O Holy Spirit, create in me a pure heart and a right spirit within me that I may focus on
You at all times.

"By the power of the blood shed on the Cross, by the authority of the Scriptures, I proclaim a mighty
blessing upon your life, your now, your future and all that pertains to you your health, home, finances,

I FIRST HEARD OF T.B. JOSHUA IN THE 1950s...

Destined to be one of Gods great Generals, Evangelist C.S. Upthegrove from Florida, USA, is a living
legend whose contribution to spread the Gospel has been breathtaking. Former Pastor of Miracle Valley
Church, he served under another General, A.A. Allen. God has since greatly used him to advance His
Kingdom here on earth. In this exclusive piece, he shares with Read Us his experiences in the service of
the Lord and his encounter with the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua. He writes:
In my day, miracles were on the menu at any given time. We always praised God, as soon as blind eyes
were opened or a cancer was suddenly gone. We were in a marvellous time of reaping. So many
ministers of God had prepared the way for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on those who so desperately
needed it.
During the 1930s through the 50s, people were trying to recover from what was later known as the Great
Depression. Pentecost had received a new grace, since the Azusa Street Revival in 1906, not to mention
those who had already been awakened during the turn of the new century. Great men and women of God
sprung out of every corner of the globe, bringing in tremendous signs, wonders and miracles.
The intensity began to wane around 1909, as the move of God splintered into many factions and
denominations. But people did not want to lose the high ground they had gained. Feeling the decline, the
intercessors picked up their positions again.
Around 1947, a new voice began to arise. This was like nothing the Church had ever heard of since Bible
days. Many weary ministers and evangelists who were on the verge of giving up their ministries due to
lack of God's manifest presence and power, became quickened and alive with new hope and fervour.
They began to see the power of God on a level unknown for hundreds of years, at least not known to the
masses.
This gentle, soft-spoken man stepped out of obscurity and took the world by surprise. William Branham,

with complete accuracy, could look into the entirety of anyone's life and give exact details of even the
smallest things through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Whole schools of deaf children would pass
through a prayer line and be healed. The miracles and prophetic words were astounding.
Out of his ministry grew what would later be called the Latter Rain Movement. Oral Roberts attended his
meetings and took on the challenge to pray for the sick. T.L. Osborn was ready to walk away from the
mission field because after years in the service of the Lord, he felt fruitless. He watched this small man
from Kentucky tell people in great detail things that no one else knew and as he witnessed a child with no
bones in his legs suddenly develop bones, he had one thought: I need this impartation.
As the fire came down, a worldwide revival began but by the beginning of the 1960s, it too had begun to
fade. In my own ministry, the miraculous was always present but the worldwide stage had closed its ear.
You see, it's not enough to have great meetings and even have God sweep through a city. God is always
looking to move onto the eternal high ground that will send the Word to every nation as one great voice in
unison.
It was in this desire to see Gods glory fill the earth that my daughter, Evangelist Brenda Upthegrove
Price, began her travail of soul like Hannah of old: "Oh God, the Eli system has taken over Your people.
There is sin at the door and Eli no longer confronts his sons. Lord, if You don't send a Samuel that will put
things back in order, then You will surely leave us without a voice on the earth".
Being a prayer warrior, my daughter began to cry to God day and night: "Lord, let me see the wells of
these great men of God that I have known begin to flow through the nations of the earth. Please, bring
back Your glory to this generation and to the United States of America".
In the spirit of that prayer, God began to direct her. One night, in desperation, she went to YouTube and
simply typed in the word, 'Miracles'. One name kept popping up: 'T.B. Joshua'. She started to search
everything she could find about this ministry but he (T.B. Joshua) was in Africa.
"Lord," she prayed, "I would love to be in his services". Two weeks later, she read an advertisement for an
Anointing Water Conference that would be a mere three hours from her home. How could it happen in this
state and in a city so close to where she lived? During the night, God spoke to her saying: "This is the
answer to your prayers. I will open the wells of these great moves upon the earth and in your nation. This
will be the death of the Eli system and the beginning of the restoration of My power".
A few weeks after the Anointing Water Conference, Wise Man Harry came. This added to her excitement.
While there, Emmanuel TV interviewed her and she briefly gave the account written above. God
supernaturally brought us to the attention of Prophet T.B. Joshua.
After talking to the Emmanuel TV team, we were received as special guests in Lagos, Nigeria. I will never
forget the invitation to visit The SCOAN. It was the beginning of a wonderful time of encouragement and
mutual love and respect. I was 83 years old, and I had already claimed Psalm 71:18: "Now, when I am old

and grey headed, oh God, forsake me not, until I have shown Thy strength unto this generation and Thy
power to everyone who is to come". When I caught the long flight to Lagos, Nigeria, I was thanking God
all the way, because I knew I was in the centre of His will. Too often, we have lived in His permissive will
but thank God for the feeling; I was in His divine perfect will. Since that meeting with the Prophet, we were
added to his family. Now, I truly feel that he is my son and his family is my very own family. We thank God
for Prophet T.B. Joshua, the ministry of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations, and Emmanuel TV.
I have been in the deliverance ministry since I was 15 years old and my life seemed almost complete,
since I had seen miracles all over the world with Great Generals from the 40s, 50s and 60s, including
pastoring a great church in Miracle Valley, Arizona under the direction of Apostle A.A. Allen. The one thing
that I had not seen fulfilled was a prophecy that he gave to me personally.
One day, while he and I were riding along in his car, A.A. Allen turned to me and said: "Brother
Upthegrove, I may not be living when this comes to pass but I believe you will". He began to describe a
time coming when the Azusa Street Revival in 1906, under the direction of William Seymour, would be just
a beginning of what God was going to do.
Please, hear me now - I know about the miraculous. But from the moment my feet walked on the holy
ground of The SCOAN, excitement began to build in my soul as I saw the desperation of the thousands of
sick and afflicted from all over Africa and other nations. They came together for a miracle. I knew this was
it.
I had the privilege of watching the Wise Men lay hands on the sick and cast out demons. God spoke to
my spirit and said: "What you are seeing is the prophecy being fulfilled in this place. I will pour out My
Spirit in this place". I began to weep. The following Sunday, Prophet T.B. Joshua was so gracious to me.
He knew by the Spirit that I was supposed to speak for a few minutes to the thousands in attendance.
Out of all my friends, former pastors and churches, missionaries and whomever I have known in my 70
years of ministry, I was so moved by the fulfilled prophecies of Prophet T.B. Joshua and the miracles of
healing, along with demons being cast out, that I knew this was that which was spoken in prophecy to me
by A.A. Allen.
Recently, I had the privilege of joining my spiritual son, T.B. Joshua in Cali, Colombia, with approximately
50,000 people in attendance each night. In all my 70 years in this ministry including being in service with
great Generals of the faith, Oral Roberts, Catherine Kuhlman, William Branham, Jack Coe, A.A. Allen and
many others, I had never seen so many people get out of wheelchairs and give up their crutches, walking
and praising God for healings and great deliverances.
Thank God, I have lived long enough to see the promise come to pass. This Prophet of God, T.B. Joshua,
is so anointed by the Spirit that many times, all he has to do is speak the Word and the sick are healed.
I am so blessed to be part of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations family.

God bless all of you.

BELIEF IS YOUR CONNECTION

Belief is your connection to the Saviour, the Healer, the God that rescues and delivers. Belief is your only
connection. But ask yourself, in whom do you believe? Many today believe in themselves. They believe in
their own strength, ability, power and might. But the Bible says that if you believe in yourself, you are
doomed to disappointment. Meaning: youre bound to be disappointed. Ask King Nebuchadnezzar in
Daniel 4:28-37 and he would tell you. He trusted in himself and he ran mad. Believe in your friends and
family and they will die and leave you. Ask Elis daughter in 1 Samuel 4:17-22 and she will tell you in
one day she lost her father, her husband and her brother-in-law. But if you believe in the One who said in
Matthew 28:18, All power in Heaven and on earth has been given me, you have something to be excited
about for you will never be confounded in time or eternity.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, Give me the grace to believe You more than anyone I know and to believe Your
Word more than anything I have ever read.

value? It is His desire to give you everything you need in this life and the life to come. However, the
primary reason for asking for Gods blessings should be to share them with others. When your needs are
met, you have an abundance to share with those around you. Jesus wants to express Himself and carry
out His mission of love to others through you. You must learn to plant. In other words, we always reap the
same kind of seed we plant.
How many lives are you capable of changing? How many have you changed? For example, Jesus said
that we should make peace with all manner of men. Peace therefore becomes our protection against the

attacks of the enemy. If you are hit by your enemy, do not hit back. Give him another chance. By this, you
show that you are a believer. A Christian is not known by his name but by his love. We should be known
as people who are for the good, not just against the bad. Let us do what is good to change the bad we
see. As the Bible says, Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:17-19).
PRAYER: Ask God to give you love love enough, in Jesus name.

EMBRACE THE WORD OF GOD

When someone approaches you in great emotional havoc and disturbance, know that the Word of God is
not dominating their life. They discuss their battles instead of the One who is fighting for them. They
discuss their warfare instead of the promise of victory. They discuss their doubts instead of their faith in
God. Their focus is on their enemy, instead of their Comforter.
If the Word of God were dominating their mouth, it would dominate their mind. If the Word of God were
dominating their mind, it would influence their conduct and behaviour. You must embrace the Word of God
as the only effective instrument for change. That is why Paul wrote to Timothy, All Scripture is given by
inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness
(2 Timothy 3:16). The Holy Spirit inspired the Scriptures. The Holy Spirit affects your words. The Holy
Spirit uses the Word of God to bring peace into your heart.
PRAYER: Lord, Jesus Christ, open my heart to Your Word, Your faith and Your Spirit, in Jesus name.

GIFT WITHOUT CHARACTER IS IDLE, MEANINGLESS AND OFTENTIMES DESTRUCTIVE

What gift, skill or talent can you boast of today? Gift without character is idle, meaningless and oftentimes
destructive. Adam had a gift of management and creativity. He named every animal in the garden but lost
the garden - because of weakness in his character (Genesis 3:17-19). Moses had the gift of a great
leader and led his people out of Egypt but lost the Promised Land because of weakness in his character
(Deuteronomy 32:48-52). Saul had been the greatest king of Israel but had his kingdom torn from him
because of weakness in his character (1 Samuel 15:26-29). Judas walked daily with Jesus but lost his
relationship because he had no character (Matthew 26:14-16).
Be careful as you work or you may find your hands full of money, your head full of information but your
heart empty and therefore, your life very empty. God is not looking for a star; He is looking for character.
Character makes future possible. Anyone can own a car but not everyone can maintain a car. Many have
received the gifts of God but not everyone has been able to maintain their gifts. Gods gifts can only be
maintained by Gods character. If it is not with character, it is not in truth; it is not in Spirit and so it is all
nothing.

PRAYER: Oh Holy Spirit, give me the grace to imbibe the character of Christ so that Your instinct and
nature may be evident and obvious in me.

HURT? ASK YOURSELF WHY

Are you hurting? Does bitterness and anger rise in you when you remember one thing or the other? Have
you been hurt in the past? Does the pain still remain today? Do you hold onto the past by harbouring
resentment and bitterness against those who have offended you? What you may fail to realise is that the
person most hurt by unforgiveness is you. An unforgiving attitude not only destroys our relationships but
also poisons our soul.
An unforgiving attitude eats us up and destroys us from the inside. Jesus said, For if you forgive other
people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive
others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins (Matthew 6:14-15). Being unwilling to forgive
shows that you have not understood or benefitted from Gods forgiveness. If you fail to receive forgiveness
and fail to forgive those who sin against you, you will also find yourself in a torture chamber. What is the
meaning of a torture chamber? Your spirit will not be free or available for God. Instead, it will be bound,
burdened and useless. You may smile on the outside while crying on the inside.
Dont allow this to happen to you. Ask God for the grace to release forgiveness to those who have sinned
against you and by faith, receive forgiveness from God for your own sins. Remember, because of Christ,
you are redeemed, free and forgiven. In the same way, because of Christ, forgive your neighbour.

UNDER GOD'S INFLUENCE

Many today train vigorously, thinking that in warfare, numerous and powerful soldiers would always be
victorious. Many study tirelessly, thinking that men of great understanding who are masters of
management will always be men of substance. But look throughout history, many a good men spend their
days unnoticed, uncelebrated and in obscurity. Ecclesiastes 9:11 says that the race is not for the swift nor
the battle for the strong. This philosophy goes against common sense but it is the reality, It is the wisdom
of God. For God does not need a majority to fight His war; He just needs a suitable man.
Are you suitable? They are suitable who have submitted to His will, who subject themselves to the check
and conduct of the Holy Spirit, who lay their souls under souls under His influences and operations.

James 4:7-8, Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to
God and he will come near to you..."
Joseph knew he would face certain trying situations that would challenge his continued commitment to
Christ but that if he was under the check and conduct of the Holy Spirit, God would rescue His faithful
servant out of trouble and put honour upon him. And by His grace, Joseph was rescued indeed. Are you a
suitable man?
Prayer: When Gods grace is taken away, nothing pure, nothing good in you will stay. The protection will
be gone, your strength will be gone, your victory will be gone. Everything that makes meaning in you will
be gone. Right now, bow down your head and ask God not to take His grace away from you.

YOUR FUTURE HAS TO MOVE INTO YOU

Trouble becomes easier to handle when you know that it will not last forever. In other words, your picture
of tomorrow will impart strength to endure your present tribulation and difficulties. Jesus had this kind of
picture. Jesus had confidence in His own resurrection and that enabled Him to endure His crucifixion. This
means, your future has to move into you before you can move into your future.
Look at the case of Joseph in Genesis 37. The Holy Spirit gave Joseph a prophetic picture of his future in
a dream. Joseph saw himself in the position of authority where he saw others honoring him. Because of
this vision, his mind began to change; his conduct and behavior were altered to birth that picture. This
means, what happens in your mind will happen in time. Mind management is the first priority for the
overcomer.
PRAYER: Ask God for the grace to see visions and dream dreams, in Jesus name!

THE STRAIGHT RACE

Life is a journey and the journey we are on as believers has been likened by Apostle Paul to a race.
Acts 20:24, However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and
complete the task the Lord Jesus has given methe task of testifying to the good news of Gods grace.
Question - Did you ever see someone running backwards in order to win a race? God wants us to run but

to run the straight race to win the prize of eternal life. There are no shortcuts to spiritual maturity; we
cannot deceive God, we have to please Him by faith. As Hebrews 11:6 tells us, only faith pleases Him.
So, what is faith? Hebrews 11:1, Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what
we do not see. How do we have confidence in what we do not see? Just because Jesus doesnt pop
through the clouds to show us that He is who He says He is, doesnt mean His power and effectiveness
have stopped. His power and effectiveness are even greater today than during His earthly ministry
because He can be in all places at all times, through His Word by His Spirit. To run the straight race is to
live your life by the Word of God as your guide. Your life will run smoother if you go the way of the Book.
Prayer: Oh Lord, Jesus Christ, let Your Word abide in me and me abide in it, for out of it rivers of living
water will flow from my life to meet the needs of others. In Jesus name we pray.

THE HEAVENLY CONNECTION

Matthew 6:33, But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be
added to you.
Many lives have been disconnected from the Creator. When you are connected to Heaven, you would
know that behind your situation lies the purpose of God for your life. In order to fit your life back into God's
divine arrangement as from today, begin to pray against your weakness so that you close the avenue of
the devil. The devil has nothing to do with you without weakness, mistakes and sin. That is what the Bible
says about salvation seek first the Kingdom of God. That is, pray against your weakness and all other
things blessing, healing and protection will be added. When the devil is in control of your life, when you
are weak, you are weak.
But when you are connected to the Maker of Heaven and earth, when you are weak, then you are strong
for His strength is made perfect in weakness. To feel the grace of God over your life, you must be proud of
your weakness for Christ's sake. This is demonstrated when the curse of imperfection hits, you confess to
God, receive His mercy, learn from it and move on. When you have a relationship with Jesus, you change
and become a person who is directed by the Heavenly Father, not the earthly influence around you. Do
you want to get connected to Heaven? Just believe. Believing is our connection to Jesus Christ.
PRAYER: Lord, Jesus Christ, anytime I make a mistake, as we all do, help me to run to You.

PASS YOUR TEST!

People of God, have your circumstances ever pressed you to doubt God's promises? Have you ever been
tempted to ask, "Does God hear me? Does God love me? If God loves me, why do I have all these
challenges?"
The lives of believers in both the old and new testaments testify that being faithful to God does not
eliminate adversity. That you are a Christian, a pastor, an evangelist does not mean you will not be
exposed to things that are not consistent with God's Word. There will be a time to laugh, a time to cry, a
time for war and a time for peace, a time to face temptation and a time to overcome. What time are you
in? It is necessary for your forward movement in Christ.
In Romans 5:3-5, the apostle tells us, "we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces
perseverance and perseverance, character and character, hope. now hope does not disappoint because
the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us".
There can be no victory without a battle. There can be no harvest without planting. There can be no
resurrection without a death. Remember, when times are stable and the sea is calm and secure, no one is
really tested. Pass your test and move on, in Jesus' name!
Prayer: Lord Jesus, grant me grace in accepting adversity and enduring every pain so that I may learn
what I should know, my grief to turn to gain.

EXPERIENCE GOD
When you make Gods Word your hearts delight, He will grant you your hearts desire. Today, many make
the world their hearts delight. Many embrace the world desperate to be satisfied by it. But what we need
is in Gods Word. No matter how many years you work or strive trying to acquire wealth the best car, the
most beautiful house, children etc, you can never be satisfied by them. Satisfaction is not about having
children, money or other worldly possessions; you have to experience God. Until you experience God,
there will be dissatisfaction in your life a sense of hunger to know what life is all about, a desire to know

what happens after life is over. Who is it you are looking for? Jesus is everything you need.
Do you want to experience God? Attend to His Word. Mary attended to Gods Word and a lifetime of
ignorance gave way to spiritual enlightenment (Luke 10: 38-42). Take Time to sit at the Lords feet. I
mean, take the time to splash around in the Word of God and absorb it to discover what God has to say to
you each day. When you have discovered what God has made you for and how He cherishes your
company, you will discover the true fountain of good living welling up to eternal life. Live in Gods Word!
You are in it, I am in it but most importantly, God is in it. There you meet God face-to-face.

OUR ELDERLY, OUR PRIDE: The Touching Story Of A Widow And Her Tithe...
The case of Mrs. Caroline Orugude deserves a place in the spotlight. On that unforgettable Sunday, which
will remain engraved on the hearts of the thousands of people that heard her, she gently made her way to
the altar of The SCOAN. Delicately clenching a hand that was just recovering from a recent attack of
stroke, the elderly woman had the air of one with important news.
She came with a simple gift and message that would speak volumes to men and women of God the world
over. A retired teacher from Bayelsa in Southern Nigeria, this woman still had a thing or two to teach the
young ones.
When she spoke, it was with carefully chosen words: What brought me here is the urge to testify of the
goodness of God in my life, she began. Every ear zeroed in, as she narrated how she had retired from
her job in June, 2012 and was forced to wait many months for her gratuity that was supposed to have
been paid immediately. She said: There was nothing much we could do except pray because the pension
system is unreliable. So, I kept praying for almost two years about this.
Mrs. Orugude requested prayers from many pastors for breakthrough, promising she would pay her tithe,
but the pension remained withheld.
After she was introduced by a family member to Emmanuel TV, her mindset began to change. I
witnessed the goodness of the Lord and how the God of T.B. Joshua helps people to achieve their goals,
said Mrs. Orugude. A month before this landmark testimony, the elderly lady began to change her prayer
points, aligning them with what she saw on Emmanuel TV.

When praying, she would place the documents for the gratuity on the screen of Emmanuel TV, thanking
God for His mercy. Then the mighty hand of God touched her!
Within two weeks, she received a call from the treasury, asking her to go to the capital city, Abuja. I said,
Wow! Is it for the gratuity? They said, Yes. Brethren, I knelt down. The joy in me that day, I cannot
express it. I said, thank You, Lord. I am going to Lagos. I decided when I got the money, I would come
here [to The SCOAN] to appreciate the Lord, she said.
Then, while everyone including the millions of viewers across the world watched, the frail woman made a
statement that stunned all: I am here with the small sum of 500,000 naira, to give to the man of God and
The SCOAN, as my tithe. Mrs. Orugudes declaration soon filled the Church-gone-silent with gasps of
astonishment.
A mark had been made! At her age, no one would have expected her to part with such a huge amount of
money, at a time when she needed it most. The action could not pass unnoticed by the Man of God, T.B.
Joshua. His response to the touching gesture was equally surprising.
He said: Yes, it is written in the Bible that we should pay tithe, but how can we collect tithe from widows
and the aged who are supposed to be under our care? Remember, she has stopped working. She needs
our care for the rest of her life. These are the women we should be feeding and taking care of. She is our
mother; she is my mother too.
The man of God then announced that instead of receiving Mrs. Orugudes tithe, he would support her with
an additional 500,000 naira, as a gift to take care of her.
Explaining why he took such a unique stance, T.B. Joshua spoke about the marks of a genuine servant of
God: When God calls a man or woman, what they will eat, what they will use and everything they need
for their journey will be provided abundantly by God, because God wants honour and respect for His
anointed ones, he said.
When a minister begins to depend on tithes, you know he is not a minister of God. It is written that
offerings and tithes are very important to the house of God, but a minister of God who is called by God
Almighty should not depend on offerings and tithes. Tithe is between you and your God.
This is a message to ministers of God all over the world. When we collect tithes, we should know those
whom we collect them from. Dont force anybody it is between them and God. Since the Bible says the
door of blessings will open, leave them to God. It is not you that opens the door of blessing. If someone is
not giving the right tithe, he will not receive anything from God, and if he is doing the right thing, he will
receive from God. Let us worship the Giver of money, not money, the Prophet said.
This example might cause you to smile but it is just part of the move Prophet T.B. Joshua has been

making, along with Emmanuel TV Partners, to fulfil the divine obligation, which requires all Christians to
help the elderly.
Every Sunday at The SCOAN, the elderly are allocated a section in the church where they enjoy the
company and fellowship of their peers during the service. Additionally, free transportation in luxurious
buses is provided to and from their homes, courtesy of T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel TV Partners. A
welfare programme is also in operation, granting a monthly allowance, supplies and foodstuffs to each of
the elderly in the church.
The Bible makes it very clear that it is not a crime to be old; it is the grace of God. Psalm 91:14-16 says:
Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has
known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver
him and honour him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.
The elderly nurtured and reared us in love, care and warmth. This is the time to reciprocate their love,
care and tenderness, now that they are too old to meet their needs unaided. Any community or nation that
neglects their old ones, neglects God because it is the will of God to grow old (Isaiah 46:3-4).
Where are your elderly? Care for them and you shall reach old age.

THE WAY OF OBEDIENCE

Obeying God at first seems hard until we come to see that all He asks is for our good and makes life full
and free. Why is it hard at first? It is hard at first because it involves making a u-turn. I mean a turning
point against our usual way, against the popular will of our friends, relations and peer groups who want
you back in their fold. If you must resist them, you must be ready to face persecution and attack from
them. But relax He will not leave you without victory. The way of obedience is the way of blessings; the
way of obedience is the way of a bright future.
For you to reach that future, the question you need to ask yourself is do you have a vision? If you dont
have a vision, others would become your role model - you would be looking to others for direction instead
of looking to the Holy Spirit who is our Guide. Because of that, you would strive to receive the approval of
people and be ready to compromise your faith and disobey Gods instructions to please the crowd.
However, if you have a vision, you would not look to others for direction; you would wait on God. Your
vision has to do with where you are going. If you dont have a vision, you can never be focused in a
direction and therefore, never fully obey Gods instructions. When you know where you are going,
whatever happens to you midway cannot change your focus or push you into disobedience to Gods

Word.
PRAYER: Ask God to give you an obedient heart, in Jesus name!

BECAUSE OF CHRIST
Jesus was handed over for our salvation. A ransom was paid the just for the unjust, the righteous for the
unrighteous. There was no peace made but by His blood on the Cross. It was a debt that could not be
paid in a persons lifetime. He conquered death for our sake and His purpose is to bring us to the Father
in Heaven (Isaiah 53:5). Because of Christ, we can face tomorrow. We need to know the faithfulness and
trustworthiness of God.
The moment you realise that God is reliable, that you can trust in Him, faith grows spontaneously. He is
the reason for faith. He is the Source of our faith and we have increasing faith through Him. There is no
reason for faith as good as Gods Word. But today, it is surprising what faith people have in wrong things.
If your confidence is in the arm of flesh or institutions, if it contradicts God's Word, it destroys your faith
life. Because of Christ we have faith faith in His finished works. The only way to feel good about
yourself is to begin to believe and accept what Jesus has done for you He died for you, He reigns in
power for you and He still prays for you.
FAITH CONFESSION: Because of Christ, I am healed, delivered and made whole!

WHAT WILL YOU SAY?

Everything that comes from God will return to Him. What comes from God? According to John 1:1-3
everything! In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was
with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has
been made. Many are running from God saying, Im too bad, God is not real. What will you say on the
last day when you meet Him face to face? Will you say you were too weak? Gideon was the weakest from
the weakest clan in Israel but he became a mighty warrior. Will you say you were too bad? Apostle Paul
called himself the greatest sinner of them all, yet he sat at the Lords feet.
Will you say you were sick? Bartimaeus was blind but spiritually he could see. He knew all he needed was
the Son of David to have mercy on him then he would be free. What are you looking for, who, what are
you running to for solution? Jesus is the answer to all fundamental issues in life. Run to God not from Him
and He will surprise you. He wants to see you succeed in His master plan. He has set a table before you
in the presence of your enemies; just give Him a chance to prove it. Then, on the last day you can stand
boldly in Gods presence knowing that you let Gods Word lead you.

Prayer: O Holy Spirit, You be my God, You be my guide, You be my all. Be with me today and watch over
my ways that I may not fall.

IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH

John 4:24, God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
According to the Scriptures, Jesus is the truth, the reality. There is no reality outside Him. Everything else
is merely chasing shadows (Colossians 2:17).At some point in our lives, we hunger for meaning in our
lives and thirst to find the truth. If you have not experienced the truth, there would be a sense of
dissatisfaction in your life. If you have not encountered God, you do not know the truth what life is all
about and what happens when this life is over.
Let us live in the truth. All the fruit of the Spirit are equal to truth (Ephesians 5:9). If you miss one, you
miss all. If your relationship with God is not in spirit, it is not in truth and so it is all nothing because God is
Spirit and those who worship Him must do so in Spirit and in truth. Freedom from sickness, disease,
afflictions and pain come from knowing the truth. Stop fighting the truth because the truth never loses the
battle. Only the truth can see you through the daily battle with the senses.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, may we know Your Truth and may the Truth set us free in reality, in Jesus name.

SEE THE NEED OF GOD

Psalm 119:71,It is good for me that I have been afflicted,
That I may learn Your statutes.
Ask any Christian and they will tell you they need God but how much they really need God, they do not
know. That is why we often have special occasions for prayer for specific things instead of praying without
ceasing as the Bible instructs us in the Book of 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Today, when trials come, we tend
to ignore God as if we were not even Christians. We try to get solution in our own strength, intelligence or
ability which is never enough. When the eyes of your faith open, you would see the value of your trial. The
value of your trial is to see the need of God.
The Psalmist had firm confidence in Gods ability to deliver him from death and in death I mean, to
prevent him from being dead and to see him through and humbly submitted His will. The Psalmist had
seen his need of God. Have you? When we see our need of God, we would come before Him in humility
and broken-heartedness. Those who humble themselves under God's mighty hands take the surest
course to secure themselves. When you see the need of God, your will find the strength to trust Him and
your faith will grow even stronger.

PRAYER: Father, open the eyes of my faith that I may know my need of You in all things, in Jesus Christ's
name.

FIND ROOM IN YOUR HEART TO BLESS GOD

Those who have a clear purpose for living recognize the hand of God even when He takes away. Job,
even when everything he had was taken away from him still found room in his heart to bless God. He
said, Blessed be Your name. The devil takes great delight in inflicting pain on people. When you are
under that affliction, he wants you begin to curse God. That is his purpose. But those who bless God in
their trouble prove their sonship. When you have a clear purpose, your life will have meaning.
Look at what Job said when everything he once held dear was stripped from him, Naked I came from my
mothers womb and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of
the LORD be praised. (Job 1:21) Job knew the purpose of life. He knew that the purpose of life is to
glorify God in both good and hard times alike. No matter the situation you are in, you must find room in
your heart to bless God. Remember, when you bless God in your trials you will be blessed by God
through your trials.
PRAYER: Lord, make my troubles work for my advancement, in Jesus' name!

WALKING WITH GOD

Hebrews 12:28-29, Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have
grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming
fire.
When God walks, power walks. When God speaks, power speaks. When God acts, power acts. Since
God has often revealed Himself as a fire, we must allow Him to remain burning within us in order to
endure any condition and to continue to enjoy the comfort of His presence. We quench the fire of the Holy
Spirit in our lives through unbelief. No matter what situation you are passing through as a Christian, the
Holy Spirit is always ready to heal, save, deliver, protect, provide for and strengthen you. In this world, we
are often disappointed of the good we had great hope of. Many things can cause a burden and weight
upon our spirits but when something cheers up your spirit, no matter the situation, you will know that the
battle is not yours; God will manifest His strength in your weakness.
PRAYER: Ask God for the grace to walk with Him, feel His hand in your hands and know the joy of
working in His strength and not your own, in Jesus Christs name.

ARE YOU SATISFIED?

Many are not happy because they so rarely live the way they want to. They toil and labour hard yet
achieve little. They run, yet never receive the prize they are after. Satisfaction in life does not come from
wealth, riches, position, children or possessions. You simply have to experience God. Jesus said in Luke
12:15, Take heed and beware of covetousness, for ones life does not consist in the abundance of the
things he possesses.
Until you experience God, there will be dissatisfaction a sense of hunger to know what life is all about
and a desire to know what happens after life is over. At a certain point, we all hunger for meaning in our
lives. What is it that gives you fulfilment? If it is based on something that is seen, it is by its nature,
temporary. When you experience Jesus, you will neither lack nor want for His grace is sufficient
Philippians 3:12, Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay
hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
PRAYER: Oh Lord Jesus, may I know the true satisfaction that comes from loving You, not from things
that I amass, in Jesus Christs name.

24 HOURS LEFT TO LIVE:

The Story Of A Dying Girl And T.B. Joshuas Handkerchief
A daring gallop A ghastly fall A pool of blood She lay in the hospital bed, her head swollen beyond
recognition as tubes and pipes fought for space around her. With an oxygen mask clasped to her innocent
face and a heart monitor eerily beeping the seconds away, death was the dreaded pronouncement no one
willed toimagine.
It was a fateful Friday afternoon, November 12th 2004. Nine year old Sanet Badenhorst from Cape Town,
South Africa, had gone horse riding with her older sisters when she tragically fell and landed head-first,
fracturing her skull and cutting open an artery in her brain. When we reached her, all we saw was blood,
Sanets sister Jane sombrely recalled to Read Us. We actually thought she was dead.
Lying in a steadily increasing pool of blood, Sanet was thrown instantly into a coma from the impact of the
heavy fall. The three sisters were riding in a rural area 8km away from the nearest community without
even a phone to call emergency services. As Jane raced away on her horse to look for help, she was
shocked to behold a vehicle climbing up the rickety track. The driver was hopelessly lost. Following the
timely arrival of the Good Samaritan, an ambulance was called, arriving at the scene shortly afterwards

and taking Sanet to Netcare Kuils River Hospital in Western Cape.

To complicate matters, her father, a successful South African farmer was away in Namibia on business
and her mother equally away visiting family members for the weekend in Johannesburg. After hours of
battling to save her life at the Intensive Care Unit, the prognosis was grim. The innocent girl lay lifeless,
the weak bleep from a heart monitor symbolising only the faintest ember of hope that remained for
survival.
The following day, Hettie Badenhorst burst into the ward where her daughter lay motionless, criss-crossed
by pipes and tubes. It was a terrifying picture for any parent to behold. I just got the biggest fright of my
life when I saw my child lying there its actually indescribable. For any mother, it would almost kill you to
look at your child in such a state, Mrs Badenhorst described.
When I looked at her head, it was like a rugby ball so big and swollen, she recounted, solemn in
reminiscence. A grim-faced doctor then called Hettie privately into his office and asked her to sit down. I
asked him what Sanets chances were. He said to me, Well, Sanet has got basically no chance. It is
totally out of our hands.
Hennie Badenhorst received the news of his daughters accident via a phone call. I dropped on my knees
and said, Lord, there is no way my child can die. Its not possible. It doesnt matter what the
circumstances say, I am going to hold onto Your Word.
He flew back on the first available flight to find his daughter buried in gadgets and surrounded by other
medical paraphernalia. Her intracranial pressure had risen to a staggering level of 85, far above the
normal level of 10, as the internal haemorrhaging within the brain ceased to relent.
I phoned a friend who is one of the most well known doctors in South Africa, he told Read Us, insisting
that his friend give him an honest account of his daughters chances. He spoke to the neurosurgeon in
charge and then called me back. He said, I have got bad news for you; she basically has no chance.
Even if she somehow manages to live, she wont be able to walk or talk shes basically got no brain,
shed be like a vegetable.
As the seconds were fast ticking the minutes into hours and days, there was no sign of improvement.
Moved by the plight of his daughter and his firm faith, Mr Badenhorst made a promise to God he would
not eat until his daughter opened her eyes. Christians and clergy from churches throughout the region
responded to the call for prayer for Sanet as a physical and spiritual battle was being waged for her
survival.
As desperation mounted, Hennie recalled an unusual conversation he had held several days earlier. An
atheist had informed him that a certain prophet from Nigeria would be visiting Cape Town that weekend,
tauntingly insisting that miracles do not happen and the prophet was nothing but a charlatan. He was
referring to Prophet T.B. Joshua, a name Hennie knew little of save for a few miraculous video clips he

had watched.
Moved to action, desperate circumstances triggered desperate faith and Hennie decided to visit the venue
of the prophets meeting that weekend, clutching the picture of his daughter in her comatose state.
When I got there, it was chaos, he recalled, confronted with a frustratingly long line of people that
stretched endlessly before his eyes. He stared at the crowd aghast, wondering how on earth he would
manage to explain his complicated case to Prophet T.B. Joshua. The more he waited, the more fear and
uncertainty gripped him as the image of his daughter lying lifeless in the hospital was etched in his mind.
It seemed like mission impossible.
Remembering the woman with the issue of blood in the Bible, Mr Badenhorst broke all protocol and
determinedly surged forward through the crowd. I knew if I could just touch him, Sanet would be healed.
As Prophet T.B. Joshua was walking by, he reached out with faith, grabbed the prophet by the hand and
cried out for prayer. My daughter is dying, he told him, in remarkable semblance to the biblical case of
Jairus in Mark 5. Surprisingly, the man of God simply turned around, told him not to worry and walked on.
He took heart at those words and his faith was rewarded as he was unexpectedly called to meet the
prophet personally the following evening. One minute before midnight, I walked into his office, Hennie
continued, tears welling up in remembrance of the life-changing encounter. The presence of the Holy
Spirit was so awesome that I couldnt speak. The man of God said to me, Take this handkerchief and put
it on her ear. I had not even explained to him what had happened.
Folding it with care into his breast pocket and guarding it with his life, he offered a silent prayer within
himself as he left. Racing against time, Mr Badenhorst rushed to the hospital and placed the handkerchief
on Sanets grossly malformed head. Although there was no visible change at that moment, it proved to be
the catalyst for a miracle beyond medical comprehension forever to be recorded in the annals of the
hospitals history.
Several days later, the situation appeared to be deteriorating. Her lungs collapsed, she had a terrible
fever and her brain pressure was still out of control, Hennie explained. At this juncture, the doctors in
charge had arrived at a bleak conclusion it was time to put Sanet out of any further suffering. She had
lost the battle. Tears flowed as the hospital staff stood around the ward in disarray. The intensity of their
actions while fighting for Sanets survival and the horrific nature of her injuries had left an indelible
emotional connection with the case.
As I entered the intensive care unit, there was chaos. The curtains were closed. They had started
disconnecting her machines and had already taken the oxygen off, Hennie described. Recalling Prophet
T.B. Joshuas reassurance several days earlier and clutching the handkerchief he had given to him,
Hennie Badenhorst gripped his daughters lifeless hands. I said, Sanet, wake up. Please, wake up. God
has promised me that you wont die. The next moment, she opened her eyes and said, Pa

Commotion reigned. I can never forget that moment, said Mr Badenhorst, fighting back tears. That was
the beginning of the rest of our lives. The impossible had become possible. There are no words to
describe what the Lord had just done.
It was chaos, Mrs Badenhorst remembered. A little while afterwards, they allowed me in and I saw
Sanet was coming out of her coma. It was too much for the human mind to comprehend.
One week later, Sanet Badenhorst had been discharged from hospital, walking and talking normally. Her
recovery was astounding although the days she spent in the ICU as doctors fought to save her life remain
unregistered in her memory. I was lying there, wondering why I was in the hospital, Sanet said,
describing to Read Us her first recollection after the incident. It was hard to relate to what had happened.
It was just like a couple of days were cut out of my life.
I never thought she would come home, Jane, who was 13 at the time, admitted. I saw that miracles
really do happen.
Sanets mother narrated how the incredible miracle touched hearts throughout the hospital. People still
talk about it today in that hospital. Two or three years down the line, when we went there with Sanet, they
would still say, Thats the miracle child.
If you meet Mr Badenhorst one of these days, chances are, he would be flipping through his Bible, praying
with the handkerchief he received from Prophet T.B. Joshua which he has jealously guarded over the
years. I knew that if I could keep on keeping on, He would never leave me or forsake me. You may think
He is late but Hes always on time, were his words of advice.
As for Miss Sanet, her experience has transformed her, just as it has done the whole family, into a God
fearing young woman. However, her journey has not been without its challenges, including a time where
suicidal thoughts whirled within. When I was 16, I faced a difficult stage in my life where I didnt see the
reason for living and I felt like giving up on life, she opened up to Read Us.
One day, I had this revelation from the Lord I didnt save you to be this; I didnt create you to live like
this. I was searching for answers. People were dying every day from minor injuries why did I get a
second chance? I really went on a journey and grew to know the Lord and love Him. My eyes opened to
the possibilities with Him. There is so much more to life with Him.
Sanet is now passionate about reaching out to young people with the reality of her Christian experience.
The young folk of today are tired of the grey areas grownups who tell them one thing but live another,
she enthused.
The world is going downhill very quickly look at the media and music and what is seen as normal these
days. We need leaders people like Prophet T.B. Joshua who can reach out to the youth. Many go to
church and put on a mask but when they step out into the world, theyre back to who they were. They just

see it as tradition and religion, not a deep encounter with the Lord.
Her advice in the light of her miraculous recovery is clear. Never give up; always believe in God. Even if
you look around and life does not seem to make sense, just keep faith and read the Word. The Lord will
never let you fall.
Not only has God restored her life but also the great future the devil wanted to snatch. At 19, ten years
after her healing and still bursting with life, Miss Badenhorst is almost finished with her training to pursue
her dream career as a pilot!

PRODUCE MUCH FRUIT

JOHN 15:16, You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear
fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
The fruit Jesus Christ wants us to bear is faith because only faith pleases God. The Word dwelling in us
produces prayer fruit. It is the Word bringing forth its own kind in the believers life, its own kind of love and
fruit of the Holy Spirit. Prayer fruit is the renewal of the mind a change not in the substance but in the
quality of the soul. The mind is renewed by studying the Word and by acting upon it. You may study the
Word for years but if you do not act it, live it, you are not the doer and the mind is not renewed. For the
Word to produce its own kind in our lives, we cannot pick and choose bits of the Scripture to live by; we
need the whole counsel of God, all the bits strung, laced and fastened together in our lives for us to
develop into a strong spiritual man. In this way, the Word helps man walk with God, receive from God and
fulfill Gods will on earth. When the mind is saturated with the Word of God, a new life and a new way of
thinking are the result. That is the fruit if faith.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, in Your Word is our hope, healing, deliverance, blessing, protection and salvation.
May Your Word bring them into our lives, in Jesus Christs name.

"There can be no higher aspiration than the zeal to reach Jesus. Aim high to reach high!" - TB Joshua

HARMONY WITH THE WORD:

ROMANS 10:9-10, So if you believe deep in your heart that God raised Jesus from the pit of death and if

you voice your allegiance by confessing the truth that Jesus is Lord, then you will be saved! Belief
begins in the heart and leads to a life thats right with God; confession departs from our lips and brings
eternal salvation.
The Word declares in Isaiah 53:5 that by His stripes we are healed. Therefore, we are. Are you healed
because Gods Word says so? Are you automatically saved just because Jesus Christ died on the cross
for your sins? Our lives are not in harmony with the Word of God. The whole problem lies in our
recognition of the absolute truthfulness of Gods Word. We must get into perfect harmony with the Word.
Jesus Christ has done everything for us but we have a role to play to receive the benefits of His salvation.
All we have to do is believe. Your confession with your mouth must have your hearts full agreement which
only happens when your heart acts on the Word and drives your lips to confess. To get in harmony with
the Word does not begin around us but inside us in our hearts. We are more of ourselves that is why we
are not in harmony with the Word. To get in perfect harmony, we must not only want what God wants but
want it for the reason God wants it.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, take more of me and give me more of You so I may live in harmony with Your
Word.

HE WHO MAKES MEN GREAT

1 Chronicles 29:11-12, Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty
and the splendour, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are
exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands
are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.
If anyone is great among men, it is Gods hand that made them so. The best man in the world can only
maintain his integrity as long as God upholds him in it. God has ordered all so that the whole should
appear to be of grace. We should acknowledge God in all spiritual things every good thought, word and
purpose to His grace from whom we received it. The most important thing about Christianity is not what
we do or receive from God but the relationship we maintain with Him and the atmosphere produced by

that relationship. Riches and glory come from God.

PRAYER: Father, God, we acknowledge You as our only Saviour, Healer, Deliverer, Comforter, Rescuer
and Redeemer. Do it again and again and again in our lives, in Jesus name.

OPEN THE EYES OF YOUR FAITH

Many have surrendered to their fears though their hearts dreamed of a miracle. Many abandoned their
posts because of pressure and tension. Many changed the course of the history of their lives, negatively.
Many today feel their situation does not guarantee the fulfilment of God's promise in their lives. But
children of God, remember that three Hebrew men once encountered a fiery furnace. They never backed
down, never gave in or gave up because they saw that as the fire got hotter, they got closer to their
breakthrough.
What is your fire? What is the change in your fortune? Don't concentrate on that situation. Never for a
moment allow yourself to sit back in your set back and wallow in your self-pity for a man may be sick and
yet be a friend of God. A man may be poor and yet be a favourite of Heaven. Do not allow that situation to
rule you, to weaken you, to dim the eyes of your faith for there is more to life than meets the ordinary eye.
The eyes of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego first saw flames that could destroy but the opening of the
eyes of their faith was the silencing of those fears. In the midst of their calamity, they closed their eyes to
all things in this world and opened them in the world of glory.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, open the eyes of my faith that I may see the protection I am under, that I may know
Your will concerning my future, my marital life, my business, my finances, my career.

CHARACTER IS NOT EARNED; IT IS DEVELOPED

Ask Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and they will tell you - as gold is tested in fire so human character
is tested in the furnace of humiliation. If gold must be gold, it must pass through the fire. Character is not
earned; it is developed. It doesnt just happen; it is built. Character is built through encounters - when you
are accused, provoked, lied against, insulted and praised. If Joseph had not encountered deprivation in
the dry pit, he would not have been able to manage the plenty that came his way. Consider the blessings

that have come your way. Have they stood the test of time? If not, ask yourself why? Did you experience
enough darkness in order to appreciate the light when it finally came? Did you encounter enough
problems to appreciate the solution when it finally came? Did you encounter enough hardship to
appreciate the relief when it finally came?
Romans 5:3, we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because Gods love
has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Prayer: Oh Holy Spirit, grant me the inner grace and enablement to face my coming challenge with
confidence in Your Word and Your Spirit. In Your Word is my hope.

PLANT THE SEED IN YOUR HEART

The seed is the word of God... But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart,
who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop (Luke 8:11, 15).
The Word of God is a seed that comes into our heart and causes faith to grow. I mean it develops a
spiritual force in the heart or spirit of man called faith. When you allow the Word of God in the midst of
your heart and meditate day and night in that Word, that Word becomes a seed planted in your heart.
When the Word of God is planted in your heart, it becomes health to your flesh, light to your path, bread to
the hungry, water to the thirsty, roadmap to the lost, keys to the prison gates. When the Word of God is
planted in your heart you can say to that mountain that is standing between you and Gods promises for
your life Move! and it will move.
Prayer: Oh Holy Spirit, let Your Word be planted in my heart so that whatever I say and do will prosper, in
Jesus name.

MY CHALLENGE IS MY WEAKNESS
ROMANS 5:3-4, Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering

produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Many believe that their situation is their enemy and their prayer life reflects this. However, as Christians,
our situation is to prepare us for extraordinary service; it is not our enemy. The unique challenges of
Christians can be summed up by these five words: fear, ego, greed, anger and moral compromise. As we
grow in responsibility, power and influence these five temptations increase in our character. Therefore, we
must work on our character. Nothing can maintain our position except character.
Satan uses our weakness to attack us but identifying and acknowledging your weakness is victory itself.
Therefore, let us pray against our weakness. Once this is blocked, all other things will be added unto you.
So, what are your challenges now? My challenge is my weakness, not my hardship, sickness, trouble or
situation.
PRAYER: Oh Holy Spirit, inspire in me the practice of Your virtues.

"Ask God to give you the spirit of a finisher. Ask HIM to put in you the will and desire to complete what you
have started - in Jesus' mighty name!" #TBJoshua

"Beautiful people are those who mirror Christ; let the beauty of Christ Jesus be seen in you." #TBJoshua

HEAVENLY CURRENCY:
Matthew 17:20, You dont have enough faith, Jesus told them. I tell you the truth, if you had faith even
as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it would move.
Nothing would be impossible.
Faith is like a Heavenly currency we use to purchase things from God. Faith is the channel through which
the Anointing flows. The consciousness of little faith is far from being a reason why you should not pray in
the same way as because you do not have enough money to buy a product does not mean you do not
have any money. God has graciously given each one a measure of faith that is what makes you a
Christian. What is possible for you may not be possible for me and what is possible for me may not be
possible for you. That does not mean that we are not Children of God but simply shows that our capacity
to believe differs. Those who are in want of faith, money or good health must take all advantages to step
out in boldness and attract the attention of Jesus. You are not called to look within yourself and find how
much faith you have but you are called to look to Jesus and take the faith He has prepared for you. Dont
be fooled by the accusations of the devil because of what happens after you pray. Use your faith to put a
demand on the Anointing of God today and put the enemy into perpetual silence.
PRAYER: Oh Holy Spirit, breathe in me Your Word of faith in Jesus Christs name.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH PROPHET T.B. JOSHUA:

The following questions and answers can be found in the current issue of 'Read Us', the official magazine
of The SCOAN
QUESTION: What is the secret of your calmness in the midst of the storm?
ANSWER: My calmness is peace of heart, which reflects in the life I live. This peace of heart is the source
that calms the storm. When Joseph was in the dry pit where there was no air, food, water or life, it was
that peace of heart that sustained him. When everything seems to go wrong, with peace of heart, you can
press on. With peace of heart, you can press on, whatever life brings. Remember what David said in
Psalm 23:4 - "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil" because
he had peace of heart.
QUESTION: We saw on Emmanuel TV that when you returned from Colombia, you said, There is a cloud
that covers Nigeria Cloud means trouble. Look at what is happening here. You will not see it on national
TV but if you learn that they bombed here, one of you will call CNN that they have bombed The SCOAN
I am telling you something far but now, I am telling you something as close as my mouth." What you said
came to pass but why could you not stop it happening?
ANSWER: A servant cannot be greater than his master. I am a servant, taking orders and receiving
orders. What He tells me, I say, and what He shows me, I see. His will must always supersede.
QUESTION: The people that died in the tragedy why do you call them martyrs? What does it mean?
ANSWER: Yes, they had an appointment with God and they didnt let God go.
QUESTION: How did you manage to put up a CCTV camera directed toward the sky when it is supposed
to be focused on a subject or object? How did you have a CCTV camera positioned near the bottom of the
building which caught the bomb exploding?
ANSWER: That is because I am a man of vision and mission. Without evidence and proof, I would not
remain the man of God you know. God will never allow a challenge that will surmount us; we are always
greater than our challenges.
1 Corinthians 10:13 God will never allow a servant to be tempted beyond what he can bear because the
beginning of his mission and the end of his mission are under God's eyes. By this, we know a man of
God.
QUESTION: But for the CCTV footage that showed the strange plane and the explosion, what might have

been the situation when this happened? What story would you have told?
ANSWER: You mean, if there was no CCTV to capture the plane and the blast of the bomb? Then, there
is no vision. A man without vision is a man without God. This is what Gamaliel said in Acts 5:38-39 - "And
now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it
will come to nothing; but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it - lest you even be found to fight against
God."

THE RIGHT PLACE

Genesis 12:1-3, The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's
household and go to the land I will show you. "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will
make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses
you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.
Before you can discover your worth and your real value, you must discover yourself. To discover yourself,
your environment is important. You must find the right place, I mean, the place where you would be
positioned to accomplish your destiny. The right place for you may not be in your fathers house, your
family house or your community. Man cannot discover new oceans if he does not lose sight of the shore.
You just have to get out of your house. When you are where your destiny wants you to be, you would
discover peace of heart. Are you in the right place?
PRAYER: Oh Holy Spirit, You be my love, light, strength, be with me today, be my eternal reward, through
Christ our Lord and Saviour, Amen.

A Miracle Called Death: Tribute to the Martyrs of Faith

From nations far and near they arrived and bathed in waters of divine healing. Then they sang of the
miracles they had received. Yet the songs of some were loudest. These were the privileged few that found
the ultimate blessing: the miracle of death! It made all the difference.
Down the stairway of Time, bodies would crave again another healing touch; and ere the Sun sets, might
need deliverance from satanic darts. For the martyrs of September 12, 2014, however, no door could
have been more securely fastened against sorrow and lifes travails. Miraculously, they walked across the
threshold of pain: free forever!
There is a time to run and a time to stop a while. There is a time to laugh and a time to cry. There is a
time to be born and a time to die. Thank you for understanding the time that I am in.
And so with the above Biblical words, the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, touched upon the sobering
reality that continues to befall all of Gods dear creatures: the reality that hit The Synagogue, Church of All
Nations (SCOAN) when a tragic building collapse claimed the lives of dozens.
At The SCOAN, that fateful day, it was time to stop a while. For 27 years, the man of God had toiled,
planting Gospel seeds, watching them grow, watching the nations stretch forth their hands to pluck the
tasty fruits. They were decades of battles against powers of opposition, and of victory, and promise of
further conquests. But the ninth month held a certain hour; a time to stop a while.
It was a time to stop; a time for total reverence. The world outside didnt know it: it went a hustling and
bustling. Many heard afterwards: they dropped their heads in tears. Others merely laughed, uttering the
impudent did-we-not-say-so. If only they had known. A time it was to be quiet, for precious souls were
passing by; martyrs in their number were climbing up to glory. The SCOAN knew it. Prophet T.B. Joshua
was not unaware. It was a time to stop a while. And stop everyone did!
We at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations believe that when the believer dies, he is delivered out of
trouble. The believers conflict has come to an end; he has done forever with the trouble, sin and
temptation of this world and goes into glory. He at last rests in the arms of his Saviour, Jesus Christ, the

man of God said reassuringly.

If gallantly they have sailed, if their lives they have sacrificed, then there should be a monument in honour
of the departed. But shall it be hewn of rare stones? Or carved from some priceless wood? It shall be
neither. For those who have passed on to glory, said the man of God, their greatest desire is to see that
the work of salvation they died and suffered for continues and reaches unreachable places. Clearly, the
brief stop is over: the work of salvation must continue!
What they are coming here for should be taken to meet them in their country. I will be travelling to South
Africa to meet people from South Africa and other nations who find South Africa easier to visit, in memory
of martyrs of faith This kind of faith expressed by South Africans deserves this kind of blessing from
God. It is a price I must pay South Africa, I mean, Southern Africa, I love you with the love of God, said
Prophet T.B. Joshua, not the least daunted.
But the subject of death remains a contentious issue in society. It is even more so when it happens in
Gods house. As Prophet T.B. Joshua put it: I know you will ask me why Synagogue? It is also
reminiscent of the Israelites asking why Moses brought them to a certain place supposedly to destroy
them. If it the curtains of Heaven were drawn back, however, and we could have a moments audience
with the martyrs, they would undoubtedly not have us sorrow about their lot, talk little of misunderstanding
the miracle they have received.
They would remind mankind that the highway to Heaven actually begins at this side of death. And that,
having lost their lives in the incident, they died not in vain, as the Psalmist says, Precious in the sight of
the Lord is the death of His saints. (Psalm 116:15) They might add that Jesus Christ looked beyond the
pain and the suffering of the Cross and saw the glory of His resurrection, and also that the hour of Christs
sacrificial death was the beginning of His glorification and mans redemption.
They might equally say, according to the Scriptures, that to live is Christ and to die is gain. And that the
uncertainty of the hour of Christs return calls for vigilance and watchfulness.
Again, how should the death of the martyrs be taken? According to the man of God, What you saw
happen - God is aware. If God is aware, who else is aware does not matter. The martyrs, victims and
relations want to see your faith grow; they want to see the work of salvation and the work of God in your
life continue. They want to see you serve the Lord the more. The only way you can allow the work of God
to continue is to be with yourself and God, not to allow intruders and people around you to advise you and
tell you what to do when they could not stop what happened.
If the prophesies of the Scriptures stand true, someday, somewhere in the world, more martyrs would yet
climb the stairs of glory. As it was to the September 12 martyrs at The SCOAN, some would mourn,
others would laugh in derision. In Heaven, however, there would neither be mourning nor mockery: only
rejoicing, for few have finally clinched the ultimate miracle.
And that has made all the difference!

THAT REMEMBRANCE
Mark 11:25, And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your
Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
You must always remember that you are a sinner saved by grace. It is the will of God for you to remember
that you sinned and have been forgiven. For it is that remembrance that creates a loving, helpful and
compassionate heart in you towards others. Forgiveness is not based on the magnitude of the sin but on
the magnitude of the Fathers love. Jesus never bothered how grievous your sins were when He said,
Father forgive them.
In mercy, we are not excluded. It is always unreasonable to forgive your enemy until you realise that you
were once an enemy of God until He forgave you. It is this remembrance that creates love, compassion
and helpfulness in your heart. Until that forgiveness is voiced and received, we should not pray because if
we are not forgiving, the power of faith is short-circuited. Thus, it was Jesus great design to engage all
His followers to love and forgive. As you read this, begin to remember, who you need to forgive today.
Anywhere you are, as you have forgiven those who sin against you, get ready for your forgiveness to be
voiced and received in the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ by faith.
PRAYER: Forgive me, Oh Lord; I will be forgiven, in Jesus name.

CLOSE THE DOOR OF WEAKNESS

Your weakness is an entrance to satan. Let us close that door. The Bible says that no one can keep every
commandment but as we strive to, we grow. We grow everyday as we block our weaknesses. Your
character is God in you. If you dont want satan to enslave you, work on your character. As from today,
dont say, God, bless me, God, save me from the situation I am in - pray against your weakness. Go
straight to pray against your weakness because satan uses our weakness to enter us. If you close that
place, no more satan.
Your situation is not your enemy; your weakness is your enemy. Whatever situation you are in is not your
enemy because it makes you to see the need of God. Therefore, when weakness strikes, draw closer to
God; don't run from God because of weakness. In our struggle against weakness, remember that we are
not perfect but we can strive towards perfection because we have perfection by our side - Jesus Christ
(Matthew 5:48).

PRAYER: Ask Jesus Christ to manifest His strength in your weakness!

Spirit in our lives through doubt. No matter what situation you are passing through as a Christian, the Holy
Spirit is always ready to heal, save, deliver, protect, provide for and strengthen you. In this world, we are
often disappointed of the good we had great hope of. Many things can cause a burden and weight upon
our spirits but when something cheers up your spirit, no matter the situation, the battle is not yours; God
will manifest His strength in your weakness.
PRAYER: Ask God for the grace to walk with Him, feel His hand in your hands and know the joy of
working in His strength and not your own, in Jesus Christs name.

YOU DONT HAVE TO BE PERFECT

Have you made bad decisions, mistakes and wrong choices you regret? We all can be forgiven and start
over? Dont give up, dont quit on life! No matter how dirty, foolish you may be, no matter how much you
have messed up with your life, remember, broken things become useful in Gods hands. You don't have to
be perfect to be used by God; you just have to be available.
Your bad decision, your wrong choice, your mistake, your weakness is a reason for your relationship with
God. It is not a reason for sadness or shame or for you to run from God and give up. No condition is
permanent. Dont allow your mistake, your confrontation, your weakness to mislead you, pull you down
and wipe you out. Our challenges make us stronger (2 Corinthians 12:9). Be strong and see your
challenges and weaknesses as a way of coming closer to Jesus Christ.
PRAYER: Ask Jesus Christ to manifest His strength in your weakness!

THE SENSE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

1 Corinthians 15:34, Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of
God. I speak this to your shame.
If you once felt close to God yet now feel distant, you felt great yesterday but now you are tired and lonely,
you once knew the flame of affection an intimate relationship with God brings but feel the fire has faded
and the reality has disappeared only continue in the formalities of religious practice, remember the Words
of Christ and take hope. The early church stood strong in the doctrine and power of the Lord, Jesus
Christ. The same should happen today because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Righteousness is there but you have lost the sense of it. Righteousness is a gift from God. With Gods gift
of righteousness, you have the ability to be free from guilt, condemnation, inferiority complex and fear. A
sense of righteousness brings an awareness of power. A sense of righteousness brings an awareness of
authority. A sense of righteousness brings an awareness of self-knowing. A sense of righteousness gives
awareness that your sins have been forgiven. It is time to awaken to righteousness. Follow the process of
sanctification dying to sin more and more and living to righteousness more and more.
PRAYER: Whatever stands against your strength in the Lord Jesus, be cancelled, in Jesus name.

THE SECRET OF YOUR STRENGTH

Daniel 6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room,
with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed
and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.
We are living in an impatient generation. Everything in this world demands for quick action. We are in a
generation without faith and without hope, a generation that has forgotten much about God Almighty. In
reading the passage above, we understand that Daniel knew early enough in life how much he needed
God. His consistency and faithfulness are a challenge to all Christians, especially to the busy elites of the
www dot com generation. In a situation where everything around him seemed to suggest that he had to
abandon what he believed in and follow mans majority, he instead saw it as an opportunity to honour God
before men. He had an independent mind and he didnt follow mans majority but rather Gods authority.
The Bible explains that the secret of Daniels strength was his constancy in prayer. In other words, he was
constant in his faith. His affection was regular. His love was stable. He was constant in character, constant
in nature, constant in attitude. Because he kept the secret of his strength, he was able to overcome the
trials and temptations that surrounded him.
Daniel remembered the secret of his strength and was able to overcome. You too, in times of hardship
and weakness, remember the secret of your strength and God Almighty would begin to take you through
whatever life brings.

PRAYER: Oh Lord, give me the grace to be conscious of Your presence at all times and to be constant in
good habits, in Jesus name.

REST IN THE PLACE GOD HAS FOR YOU

1 Corinthians 12:17-19, If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were
hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body
just as He pleased.
God has endowed you and me with something on the inside which is capable of producing and becoming
more. There is something within you that is capable of making a difference in your life, your situation, your
family, your community, your country, continent, your world! Have you discovered it yet? What God has
blessed you with is what He will use to bless others through you. If you have not discovered what you
have to give, you are deceiving yourself. You are what you give your attention to. If you submit to God,
give your attention to God, you are who God says you are, can do what God says you can do and have
what God says you have. Then, you are not like others. Pay any price to protect your focus. Dont change
your confession; dont change your direction. Rest in the place God has for you. Are you in the place God
has for you? When you are where God has placed you, He will speak strength and courage into your life
through your trials. Those who bless Jesus in their trial will be blessed by Jesus through their trial.
PRAYER: When the storms of life are raging, Oh Lord, teach me to find rest in the precious arms of the
Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christs name.

KNOW THE POWER YOU ARE UNDER!

Do you know the power you are under? By the grace of God, we dont have to be struggling in our own
strength, intelligence and ability, which is never enough. We, citizens of Heaven, are not alone; we have
the Father with us. We know God and His throne are backing up each word we say. We are not anxious
for anything because we have His angels, His host, and His soldiers around about us. When God walks,
power walks; when God looks, power looks; when God speaks, power speaks. When you know the power
you are under, fear of satan is foolish and fear of demons is nonsense.
The clearer sight we have of the sovereignty and power of Heaven, the less we would fear the calamities
of earth. Instead of magnifying the cause of our fears, we should possess ourselves with the great,
gracious, Heavenly thoughts of God embodied in Christ for the enlightenment of our souls.

For the Lord, Your Keeper and Redeemer promises in Isaiah 43:2-3, When you go through deep waters, I
will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the
fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your
God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, when I am agitated and fearful, let me know the power I am under - that settles it.

FAITH GROWS SPONTANEOUSLY

However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:8)
We will be judged, not by the colour of our skin, size of our bank account or beauty of our appearance but
by the content of our character. We wake up in the morning determined to get it right but before we know
it, we have gotten it wrong; we have pursued physical, monetary or social gain whereas what God
requires is planted in the heart, beyond human discernment. If the Son of Man came today, would He find
faith in your heart?
Faith is a spiritual force that grows and develops in the heart or spirit of man. When your heart is not free
it cannot be sensitive to the Spirit of God. There is a hindrance - those burdens that run through your
heart causing worry, fear, doubt and guilt. You may realize that you are more of yourself, less of God in
your heart - that is why you cannot control yourself, you are unfaithful, you are not kind, you are
disobeying your God. We need more of God and less of ourselves so that faith has a room to grow. When
our heart is free it becomes sensitive to the Spirit of God; it contacts the Spirit of God. Free yourself in the
Word of God. The more you read, the more discover how reliable, dependable, trustworthy and true God
is. And when you know God is reliable, faith spontaneously grows in you.
PRAYER: Oh Holy Spirit, take more of me and give me more of You more of Your faithfulness, more of
Your kindness, more of Tour holiness, in Jesus mighty name.

TAP INTO THE BLESSINGS OF GOD

Matthew 12:34-35 For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the
good treasure of his heart brings forth good things There is power in your mouth; the belief in your
heart is released by faith out of your mouth. The mouth is the revealer of the belief in your heart. When
the heart and the mouth get in accord with Gods Word, it begins to tap into the blessings of God.
You can never enjoy the riches of His grace until you confess them, provided that it is confessed from a
heart that is rooted and grounded in the Word of God. The life you enjoy is determined by the Words you
speak. Your words control and dominate you because they express your thoughts which are the seed of
your life. Change your thoughts by filling your heart with Gods Word and meditate on it day and night.
Gods Word is a seed of divine life which comes into your heart and causes faith to grow.
PRAYER: Fill my heart with your Word that I may speak it and tap into Your blessings and enjoy the good
life you have set before me.

REPENTANCE OUR WEAPON

What is going through your mind? Are you feeling unworthy, spiritually dull or far from God? Think more
before you pray and come to repentance. Refuse and resolutely resist doubt. Having received clear light,
your mind, heart will be strengthened to pray.
Our weapon is repentance. Each time you are wrong, you have to repent; that is only way. When you
repent, you go back to your seat. Your seat will be there. It must be there because you have a relationship
with God.
The day you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour genuinely cannot be cancelled and cannot be
changed. You will only be out of your seat until you repent. As soon as you repent, you go back to your
seat. That initial relationship with God is so powerful; it is a covenant that cannot be broken. When you
know this, you will not allow your wrong to tear you down or pull you away. You will not allow your wrong to
take you back to satan. Repentance says no to sin and yes to righteousness. Without an attitude of
repentance and faith, God's power cannot work in a mans heart. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
PRAYER: Father, grant unto my body, command unto my body, the mind of Christ, a forgiving spirit,
tolerance, understanding, watchfulness, genuine repentance, humility, brokenness and the love of God, in
the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

EMMANUEL IS GOD WITH YOU?

DEUTERONOMY 20:3-4, Do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; 4 for
the LORD your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
Emmanuel means God with us, (Matthew 1:23). God is always with you but you are not always with God.

What does this mean? God is with us in the person of character. If your character is strong, your God will
be strong. If your character is weak, your god is weak. If your character is fearful, your god is a god of
fear. Character should give whatever we are. Check yourself what you become now, can your character
carry it? Our character is the one that carries our lives, whatever we become. Are you a millionaire? Can
your character carry your wealth? It is better not to be famous, popular and rich than to be famous,
popular and rich without character. The beginner is not the owner but the finisher. In a race, the end will
declare the winner, not the beginning or midway. Character gives birth to our possessions and God in us
is that character. Whatever assignment you are given by God, you need to exercise patience. You need to
know if it is Gods time for you to act. If I run before God, I cannot run after God. But today, we are running
before God. Where God guides, He provides.
PRAYER: Lord, that You are with me that is enough for me; be with me and let me know You are with me,
in Jesus Christs name.

NOT FOR SALE

ACTS 8:18-19 And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles hands the Holy Spirit
was given, he offered them money, saying, Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands
may receive the Holy Spirit.
The gift of God, healing, blessing, deliverance, salvation, miracles and prophecy are not for sale; they
cannot be bought. They can only be received by faith. The only thing that can hinder the move of God is
money. Money is not evil; it is good. But the love of money, I mean loving money more than God is bad. It
is our failure to give God His proper place in our hearts that is actually responsible for the crisis in our faith
because anything we place above God in our hearts becomes our god. God is rich beyond your dreams.
He has no need of your tithes, offerings and sacrifices but your obedience to His Word. God says He will
withhold the phenomenon of signs and wonders from the Church until two things coalesce or join: The
Word and Spirit. They cannot join in your life while the love of the world, money, possession, position is in
place in your heart and the love of Christ is displaced. Dont lose your mystery to money. God still works
wonders through suitable people. You can be one of them if you give your heart to God and let your eyes
observe His ways.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, sanctify my heart and make me Your disciple, in Jesus Christs name.

FEAR NOT
Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
Are you afraid? What are you afraid of? Fear is a destructive tool of satan that has robbed millions of a
victorious life in Christ Jesus. Fear causes your hope to shrivel and die. Millions have surrendered to their
fears while their hearts dream of a miracle. The hospital is full of people who failed to resist satan. The
prisons are overcrowded with people too weak to stand against him. Dont let this happen to you.

What a beautiful picture of life God has given us many promises of miracles and supernatural blessings
but there are giants that require conquering. Fear is one of those giants. Many fears exist fear of loss,
failure, poverty, false accusation, rejection but you have a Friend, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit who has
defeated fear for you. Always remember that the Holy Spirit can eliminate all fears of man.
PRAYER: Right now, come into His presence. Reach out to the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to dispel every atom
of fear within you, in Jesus name.

CHRIST BRINGS US TO BALANCE

The major problem that we face today is that our lives are not balanced. We base our spiritual
experiences on feelings and emotions and problems arise when feelings and emotions change. To have a
balanced mind and live a contented life in Christ, we need the Lord who remains the same to continually
strengthen us. It is Him alone who can give believers a proper mindset.
Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. In Matthew 14, Peter was
invited to walk on the water by Jesus. Peter let fear control his actions. Peter almost sank I mean,
drowned, because of fear. This means he needed to grow in order to become balanced. When we
acknowledge and identify our weakness, it is victory itself. Knowing your weakness is 50% of the victory.
At that point, Jesus comes in to bring us into balance. Meaning, when we are weak, we are strong
because He manifests His strength in our weakness. He shows Himself strong on behalf of those who rely
on Him. At the point we identify and acknowledge our weakness, at that point Jesus comes in to bring us
into balance.
PRAYER: Ask Jesus Christ to manifest HIS strength in your weakness!

"If you are called by God, from beginning to the end, your journey has been documented. Nothing outside
your documentary will happen without God's knowledge. I have a covenant with God. I cannot ask for
anything outside what is written in the covenant. What I will achieve in this world is in a book I am carrying
everyday; I just have to open the pages. Outside the book is not
mine." #TBJoshua#MyTestimony #KeepPressing #DontGiveUp

THE HEART OF THE MATTER

Good morning! How was your night? As Christians, when we woke up this morning, we were determined
to get it right today but before we know, we realise that we have failed. The Bible explains that the first
battle we are to fight is the battle in our heart. Everything that will happen in your life today starts in your
heart. The Bible explains that what happens in our heart will happen in time. The outcome of your life
today is as a result of your relationship with Jesus Christ in your heart. If we pray and answers are not
forthcoming, it doesn't mean that God is powerless but that we fail to prove that He is the same yesterday,

today and forever because many of us today store the Bible in our shelves instead of in our hearts.
Christianity is a relationship, not a religion and that relationship is in our heart.
Remember that whenever we are facing attacks, when satan is attacking us, he doesn't come to us
physically and says, Hand over your sword - he comes through doubt and unbelief in your heart.
Therefore, the development of God's Word in your heart determines your capacity to believe and also,
your capacity to prove that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. When you begin to meditate in
the Word day and night, the whole of Heaven is waiting for you to step forward! When you make God your
heart's delight, you will have your heart's desire. Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they
shall see God.
PRAYER: Oh Holy Spirit, enter my heart and sanctify it, in Jesus name.

PLANT THE SEED IN YOUR HEART

Luke 8:11-12, 15 This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Those along the path
are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they
may not believe and be saved---But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart,
who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
Prayer: Oh Holy Spirit, let Your Word be planted in my heart so that whatever I say and do will prosper, in
Jesus name.

BAPTISED INTO CHRIST

Acts 2:3-4, Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And
they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.
I am baptised into Christ, I died when He died, sins power over me is broken the confession of a truly
born again Christian. For as many of you as werebaptized into Christ have put on Christ. (Galatians
3:27). In other words, all who enter the number of the body of Christ do so because they are baptised in
the Holy Spirit. Paul also taught, at the time of acceptance of Christ, that we should have received the
Holy Spirit. This baptism was the highest and most sublime evidence of Christs wisdom, power and
goodness.
The purpose of the Holy Spirit baptism on Pentecost was two-fold: To provide personal infallibility for the
twelve apostles so that whatever they did, spoke or wrote for Christ was always correct and to provide the
power to perform miracles to confirm their words in the eyes of a pagan and unbelieving world. The Holy
Spirit is a divine person we obtain as a gift from God upon repentance and baptism. He enters our
personalities and we become new persons with renewed minds, affections, desires and will. We who are
born of God have no excuse for remaining as we are.
PRAYER:
Father, thank You for Your Spirit, fill us with His love and power, change us into Christs own image, day by
day and hour by hour.

I AM BECAUSE YOU ARE

GALATIANS 6:1-4 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a
one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one anothers burdens,
and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he
deceives himself. But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone,
and not in another.
As you woke up today, what was the first thing that crossed your mind? One of the biggest problems that
human beings experience today is that they fail to see beyond their situation and because of that, they no
longer value their neighbour. If we reject someone because of his weakness, we also reject his strength.
Dont reject anyone on account of today because tomorrow is mystery.

Someone who is a thorn in your flesh today may be your helper tomorrow. Today, relationships crumble
and people miss their goal because they have rejected their prospective helpers because of inability to
see beyond their situation at hand. In Galatians 6, we are taught that in the world today, there is no perfect
relationship; therefore, there must be forgiveness. Forgiveness paves the way for harmonious
relationships. In John 4, Jesus did not reject the sinful Samaritan woman because He will never reject
anyone that comes to Him to be cleansed from sin. In Matthew 6:12, we are taught that we need to forgive
because we need to be forgiven. I am because you are and you are because I am.
Prayer: Help me Lord to forgive, because I know that I too need to be forgiven, in Jesus name.

TRANSFER THAT THING!

1 Samuel 17:45-47 David said to the Philistine, You come against me with sword and spear and javelin,
but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty46 This day the LORD will deliver you into my
hands and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. 47 it is not by sword or spear that
the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORDs, and he will give all of you into our hands.
There is something on the inside of you that makes you one with a difference and that thing needs to be
transferred to the outside. What is that thing? Your thoughts and words - I mean your capacity to believe.
Your capacity to believe is born of faith and anything born of faith is born of God. How do we transfer that
thing? The way to do it is to take what God said and meditate on it day and night. Meditation brings
revelation. The development of Gods Word in your heart gives birth to belief in your heart and the belief in
your heart is released by faith out of your mouth. The Word of God becomes real as you confess its
reality. The reason for this is that we walk by faith, not by sight. God says that what you say will become a
visible reality in the natural if you steadfastly hold on to your confession of faith.
Prayer: Oh Holy Spirit, help me to meditate on Your Word day and night, in Jesus name.

SATISFIED? #TBJoshua
Until you experience God, there will be dissatisfaction a sense of hunger to know
what life is all about and a desire to know what happens after life is over. At a certain point, we all hunger
for meaning in our lives. What is it that gives you fulfilment? If it is based on something that is seen, it is
by its nature, temporary. When you experience Jesus, you will neither lack nor want for His grace is
sufficient.

GOD'S WORDS ARE NOT TIME BOUND #TBJoshua

In the beginning, was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God and in Matthew 28:20,
Jesus, the Word, said, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. This means simply, the Words
of God are not time bound. The Words of God are not restricted by space, time, or circumstance. They
are the same yesterday, today and forever.
The prophets of old spoke Gods Word as if God was the One speaking through them and their
prophecies became signs. Each sign said, These men are from God. Their message is true. Believe
them.
What do your words say about you? How do we know you are from God? Why should we believe you?
Take note: When a man of God speaks forth Gods Word, rivers of living water begin to flow from his
innermost being, bringing healing, blessing, deliverance, salvation to meet the needs of people.
Are you about to speak? Stop! Confess Christ before the world. Confess the fullness of His grace.
Confess the integrity of the revelation. This is the Word that changes lives, changes nations and changes
the world.

PRAYER: My soul is waiting for You, oh Lord. In Your Word is my hope, my salvation, my healing, my
victory, my deliverance. I pray today for Your salvation. Let Your Word bring them, in Jesus' name!

DO A LITTLE GOOD #TBJoshua

If you read the about the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:30-36, you would realise that Jesus Christ has
actually called us as Christians to respond to all human needs, for that is what love entails.
Jesus Christ values our little effort to honour Him when it is done in truth, humility and faith. No matter
how small, how little, when you present it in humility, cheerfulness, Jesus honours it. Look at your
contribution to others as an assignment from God. When you see whatever you are doing as an
assignment from God, you cannot afford to fail God. You will always do the right thing. The Bible says that
whatever you do to your neighbour or fail to do, that you do unto God. Every person God created is a
solution to a problem. No matter your level in life, you are a solution to a problem. When you begin to see
life in this light, you will always overcome, you will become successful.
Jesus Christ was bread to the hungry, a roadmap to the lost, water to the thirsty, a companion to the
lonely. Whatever is your gift, that is what the Lord will use to bless others through you. What is your gift?
No matter how small, you can still share with others who need your gift. Thousands want to change. They
just dont know how to go about it. Successful people are simply problem solvers. No matter your level in
life, you are a solution to a problem. This means you are created for a purpose.
PRAYER: God, give me Your eyes to find those who need me and how I can identify with those who need
me the most, in Jesus name.

RECEIVE NOW, IN JESUS NAME!

Where is your Bible? On the bookshelf? On the table? Or you are not sure where it is. You need to read it
and make it work by the way you live your life. Take time to splash round in the Word, to absorb it, to
discover what God has to say to you each day because your life depends on knowing it.
However, studying the Word only cannot bring Jesus to the scene; it is the acting on the Word that brings
Jesus to the scene. This means, we make it work - it is not all up to Jesus for you to be protected,
blessed, healed and saved today and certainly it is not all up to you; you have a role to play. Your role is to
make it work because Jesus will not come down from Heaven to do what you have to do yourself. What
do you have to do? Joshua 1:8 tells us to keep the Word in our mouth, meditate it day and night and do
what the Word says. The Bible has made us understand that the power to protect, bless, heal and save
that flows from the name Jesus will be in proportion to our love for His Word. In other words, our lives
must be ruled by God's Word; the Word of God must dominate us. Remember, the Word dominating us is
the Lordship of Christ in us because the Word takes the place of the unseen Christ. Deuteronomy 28:1-14

- It is the doer of the Word that receives answer from God. God blesses and answers your prayer through
His Word by His Spirit. Remember, Gods Word is now - faith acts now, believes now and receives now, in
Jesus name.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, give me the grace to abide in your Word and your Word in me, in Jesus' name.

TIRED? JESUS AWAITS YOU!

You may have tried many ways, many things to make it in life, but when you realize that your own way is
not enough, that your own strength is not enough, that your own belief is not enough take heart. Its
when we are tired and sick of our worldly business and frustrated in our worldly affairs, we are welcome to
Christ - the Lord of the waves, the Author and Finisher of our faith because as long as the world is in
place in our lives, Christ must be displaced. As long as self-confidence is in place in our hearts, the
confidence born of God must be displaced. Jesus Christ is a democrat; He does not impose Himself or
His will on anyone. He allows us to exhaust whatever worldly advantages we feel we have, so that when
we have learnt our lessons, we would value Him. So go to Jesus, He has invited you to come, He awaits
you and is ready to make you believe in His own name, His own time and in His own way (Matthew 11:28)
) Come to me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest (GW)
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, strengthen me to overcome because You make Your peoples trouble work for their
advancement.

THE SKY IS YOUR LIMIT

As little children, many people used to say, When I am a grownup, I want to be a pilot or When I am an
adult, I want to be a doctor. Others had many dreams but how many of those dreams have actually
become a reality?
Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to
harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Some of us have been living within a four-footed ceiling whereas the sky is our limit. A four-footed ceiling
means to reduce your vision. If you have a dream, remember that nobody will believe that dream except
you. You have to protect your dream as nobody else can do that for you. How do you protect your dream?
Stop talking the language of a victim - be positive. Your life can never and will never rise above the level of
your thoughts and words.
It is never too late to start doing the right thing now. Let us learn to dream again. To learn to dream again
is to have big plans. To learn to dream again is to readjust, to look to God. Learn to dream again because
the sky is your limit.

GOD IS WITH YOU

Jesus said, In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33).

We are living in a world full of trouble; in fact, we are born into trouble (Job 5:7). Trouble does not require
any invitation before it comes. But as believers, as members of the household of faith, though there may
be reasons to be troubled, there are greater reasons not to be because God is with us. When God is with
us, we know what follows His guidance, protection, blessing and victory, no matter the situation. So, as
a believer, when trouble comes, dont be agitated, stressed out or thrown into confusion; instead, trust in
the One who promises to be with us, when the goings are good or tough. Then you will be able to say with
confidence, Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil because God
is with me (Psalm 23:4).

OPEN YOUR EYES

Isaiah 6:9 He said go and tell this people: Be ever hearing but never understanding; be ever seeing, but
never perceiving.
For this twofold judgement Jesus came into the world that those who see not might see and that those
who see might be made blind. In the dark, we are most apt to be frightened. The clearer sight we have of
the sovereignty and power of Heaven, the less we shall fear the calamities of this earth. The opening of
our eyes of faith will be the silencing of our fears. By faith is our fear defeated.

WHY DOUBT?
Look around you and what you will see is frightening. The vicissitudes and calamities of this world cannot
dictate the direction of a man of faith. Rather than derail him from his cause, it will enhance his focus. This
is why the Bible advises us to have faith in God. There is faith in faith and faith in the finished work of
Jesus Christ. The object of our faith is God. Never doubt God...s desire and ability to save you. Be
determined to doubt no more, for in Jesus Christ we have perfect evidence for faith. Any man or woman
can get rid of doubt by steadfastly looking at the evidence, which God has given to us for our faith. What
is the evidence? Seeing what God says will produce and increase our faith. What unfavourable situation
are you in that is making you to doubt Gods ability help you?
I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea, and it will
happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart (Mark 11:23). What
we receive from Jesus Christ, depends on our capacity to believe Him. The basis of our claim is in our
belief. Whom do you believe? If you believe Jesus Christ, you will have confidence in his capacity to heal,
save, deliver and bless. As you recall Gods track record in your life, that will grow confidence in you that
He will work in your situation. Remember that God is good and because He is good, you can bring your
requests to Him, share your concerns with Him and cast your cares upon Him, realising that He is God
and you are not, that He is a Father and you are but a child, that He is a shepherd and you are a straying
sheep. God says with His help, we can do better than we ordinarily can. So, why doubt?

THE MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP

When you look around the world today, you will notice that there are many relationships which people
value so much the relationship between a husband and wife, the relationship between a mother and her
children, the relationship between business partners. But the most important relationship is the one that
will carry us through hardship and stand the test of time.
John 21:15
When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon son of John, do you love me more
than these?
If you say you love me, you must love God first. If you say you love God, where does that love flow from?
Ministry does not begin with a love for people. It begins with a love for God and that love overflows to
people. Nothing will keep us on course like a deep love for the Lord. Nothing will carry us through
hardship like a sincere devotion to Christ.
Jesus Christ came to restore the relationship and fellowship between God and man. The only relationship
that will stand the test of time is our relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, trust in our Lord and
Saviour, Jesus Christ and you will never be confounded in time or space.
PRAYER:
Lord, I am undeserving of Your mercy and favour. Keep me away from sin. I dont want to sin. I want to
keep my relationship with You. Give me the Spirit of faithfulness, kindness and goodness, in Jesus name.

FAITH THE HEAVENLY FREQUENCY

In your challenges in life, faith is there for you. When you are sick, facing a financial crisis, marital problem
or other hardship, faith is there for you. Every person is given a measure of faith.
Faith is the Heavenly currency. You need faith to act with God. Faith is like a Heavenly coin. If you want to
buy food on this earth, you need money to buy it. But for things celestial, things in Heaven like healing,
deliverance and salvation, you cannot get them in the market with money like things you need on earth.
Those things in Heaven, we use faith to purchase them.
How much money you have will determine how much goods you will buy. How much faith you have
determines how much blessing you will receive. The amount of faith you have will determine how much
blessing you will be able to accommodate. Faith releases healing, deliverance, blessing anointing. So, to
receive these Heavenly things, you need faith. If you are without faith, you cannot purchase anything.
Faith is Heavenly currency that we use to purchase Heavenly things. In your challenges in life, use your
faith to put a demand because healing, deliverance, blessing anointing is available.
I pray your faith will not fail. In Jesus' Name.

YOU NEED A HEART DECISION

Hebrews 4:1, Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to
have come short of it

If you find your heart uneasy, if you are afraid of this or that, if you are restless and feeling lost, struggling
with all your effort to plan, to seek, to beg for help, you have not yet believed. When we genuinely believe
Jesus Christ, our hearts will be at rest. Belief is an opinion formed of the heart. Faith is a heart that
believes Jesus Christ through ordinary circumstances and faith brings in restfulness. The most important
decision you can make in life is what to do with Jesus Christ. The second most important decision is to
follow His leading daily. You cannot make it in life until you make a heart decision. When you make a
heart decision, no matter what is happening around you, your heart will be at rest because your heart
knows it is settled. If you do not want to end up like the masses out there who are merely wandering
without direction, make a heart decision; you will be made whole and you will live again.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, open my heart to Your Word, to Your faith and to Your Spirit, in Jesus' name.

DONT GIVE UP
Found yourself in hard times? Maybe you are facing some difficult situations in your working place, in your
home or family? As a Christian, remember that hard times are never meant to impair us but to improve us.
If you are dealing with a situation, always see it as an opportunity to show others that God brings good out
of bad circumstances. Unfavourable circumstances are the arguments satan uses to make the people of
God question their sonship. Remember, God said in His Word that He will never leave us nor forsake us
(Hebr.13:5). He never promised to keep us away from troubles but He promised to see us through (1
Cor.10:13). Hard times must not stop you but encourage you to exercise your faith as a Christian.
Whatever challenges you have had or may still face today, let those challenges draw you closer to God
because when you draw closer to God you will find the strength to trust Him and your faith will grow even
stronger. Never a friend like Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Oh Lord, draw me towards You today.

SEE JESUS
Today, we live in a two language world, the language of the Holy Bible and the language of today. The
language of the Holy Bible is what God uses to create and save us, heal and bless us, judge and rule over
us. The language of today is the one we use to gossip, to tell each other stories, to howl at our children, to
give directions and to do business. You cannot see Jesus with todays words. You can only see Jesus
through the Scriptures. So fill your words with the Scriptures. Let your mind and your mouth splash around

in the Scriptures. Remember, the happiness of seeing Jesus is promised to those only who are pure of
heart and of tongue. Matthew 5:8, Romans 10:10

LOVE FROM THE HEART

There is something bigger than any universe, warmer than any sun, richer than any element; it can make
a king abdicate his throne and a pauper become a prince. Nothing can compare to the power of this thing
when it comes from the heart. The greatest virtue of all, of course, is love. Human love is a shadow of
Gods love for man has the ability to love but the Holy Spirit loves as He wills. Through His love, we love.
Ask God to teach you to grow in love until it flows from your heart to others, in Jesus name.
1 John 4:20-21, If someone says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not
love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this
commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

GOD HAS POSITIONED YOU

When you worship God in Spirit and truth, you are put into a position that would attract Gods attention
and commitment to everything you do and say; you are in a position where God would be interested in
everything you do. When we attract Gods attention and commitment we begin to enjoy His promises. God
has placed us where it pleases Him. This year, God has positioned you to accomplish your destiny so do
not dwell in the past. You are safe in Gods strong hands.
EPHESIANS 2:8-9, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the
gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

LIVE EACH DAY AS IF IT WERE YOUR LAST

Food for thought: Any day even today, may be our final day on earth; we need to be sure that we are
ready to depart. Are you?
Romans 10:13 says, for, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will
be saved.
The entrance to Heaven is very easy to find whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. If you
are prepared to die, you are prepared to live. Whether you are young or old, what matters is the grace to
continue to live hereafter.
You need not fear where you are going when you know Jesus is going with you.

THE MOST EFFECTIVE INSTRUMENT FOR CHANGE

It is common at the beginning of each year to hear about peoples New Years resolutions. People want to
change; they just dont know how to go about it.
Hebrews 4:12, For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it
penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the
heart.
It is the Word of God that saves, heals, blesses, delivers and redeems. What you receive from God will
come as a result of your actively reaching out and claiming His promises. Therefore, embrace the Word of
God as the most effective instrument for change.
In this New Year, God has positioned you to accomplish your destiny. Therefore, let your words and
thoughts line up with Gods intention for your life - I shall say that which I shall live to see accomplished.
This year, take a decision that is rooted in Gods Word!

TRUE FRIENDSHIP
Have you ever asked yourself what kind of friend you are? Some of the best friends are not those who just
chit-chat with us, eat and drink with us, always give us a pat on the back but the ones who challenge us,
rebuke us, correct us and in doing so, inspire us to change. A true friend considers others more than self.
They not only sit at your table when all is well with you. They are there with you through thick and thin, the
beautiful and the ugly, the miserable and the marvelous. Just as the way God has designed the workings
of the human society, so he has planned the way the different individuals can contribute to the wellbeing
of their fellow brothers. We are one anothers strength. We may not be equally gifted, but God has
designed it in such a way that everyone has some strength to contribute. Whichever area you are strong
in, you are expected to use it generously to strengthen your fellow brother. This is the true meaning of
True Friendship.

GOD'S LOVE AND CARE

How clearly do we really see our lives? When you look at your life, what do you see?
What does Jesus see? Do you see your life the way Jesus sees it? Jesus sees clearly the real you, the
healed you, the powerful you, the prosperous you, the you of your dream. That is, the person you really
are. Whatever problem you are struggling with, whatever concerns you may have, never for a moment
doubt Gods desire and ability to help you. Realize that He is God and you are not; that He is a Father and
you are but a child; that He is a Shepherd and you are a straying sheep. Because God is good, you can
bring your requests to Him, share your concerns with Him and cast your cares upon Him. He loves you.

GOD IS GOOD
Because God is good, bring your requests to Him, share your concerns with Him and cast your cares
upon Him because He is good. God is good all the time. All the time God is good. If HEs good all the
time, why complain, murmur or despair?
Exodus 33:19

SOMEONE STRONGER
There is more to life than meets the ordinary eye. That is why we who generally cannot see beyond our
nose need someone, something stronger, smarter and wiser than ourselves to see us through. The good
news is, the Bible says in the book of Isaiah 55.9 - For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are
My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. He is the One we need to tune into.
We need to be wired in a unique way to God who is stronger, smarter and wiser than ourselves. He has
made Himself available to all who call on His name in faith. He is there to see us through; He is there to
direct us, to instruct us, to show us the way to salvation and how to live for Him here and now. Our part is
to take time to include Him in the decisions we make, in the things we do and say. That is when we will
handle our challenges in a way that is pleasing to God and come out stronger as we do so, in Jesus
name.

LET LOVE LEAD

Many can quote the Word of God and boast about how much they know God but they do not seem to
receive; lack of love may be the cause. Many believers have stifled their faith by failing to show love.
Failure to show love can shut down ones spiritual walk with the Lord. Matthew 25:45 says, Whatsoever
you do or you fail to do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me. In other words, Jesus was saying
here, I have no farm where I expect you to work for Me or an office where I expect you to help Me in

checking files. My office and farm are your fellow brothers. Whatever you do to the least of them, that you
do unto Me.

DONT STOP, DIG DEEP, FIGHT IT THROUGH

John 16:33, I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have
trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
When God created man, He gave them the right to life; within that right was discretion, the ability to
decide what to do, without which life is meaningless. All of us who have fallen have made a decision and
all of us who have not fallen, faced similar temptations but made a different decision. Child of God, why
are you down because of discouragement? That trouble, sickness and discouragement will not come is a
false doctrine. When it hits, speed up the attack. It is not the time to relax and become discouraged.
We fight through our failure and fear by maximising our forward motion. You can choose to walk out on
wrong opportunities and you can choose to let the One who created you help you. You can choose to pray
the more, fast the more and commit to God the more. Hear Jesus saying to you, in the Book of John
16:33, you who live in the world, I have given you the strength to overcome whatever comes. When
discouragement comes, dont stop; dig deep and fight it through. To His power, nothing is impossible.

YOU ARE SPECIAL

Let me ask you a question, did you know that you are the greatest product of the Holy Spirit? You are
special. There is no one like you and there will never be anyone like you.
The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:9 - But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His
own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His
marvellous light.
I am not like you and you are not like me. You are a special person. You are not like others. That means
that as a Christian, the situation you are facing is not like others. It is not unto death but for the glory of
God. So, the solution you are expecting from God also is not like others. The way He wants to bless you,
heal you and set you free is different than the way He has been blessing, healing and setting others free.
Remember, God does as He wills, heals as He wills and sets free as He wills. The way He is going to
work in your life is not like others because you are special. Therefore, your solution too must be as unique
as God created.

TIRED AND SICK?

When we are tired and sick of our worldly business and frustrated in our worldly affairs, we are welcome
to Christ because He receives repentant souls; He loves them and welcomes them, but as long as the
world is in place in our hearts, Christ must be displaced. If you put God in His rightful place as the
Landlord not just a visitor of your heart, you will be at the centre of yourworld.
When the grace of God comes upon you, it would put an end to all your labour and personal struggles.
The Bible says that God gave King Solomon rest on every side (1 Kings 5:4).

Jesus Christ is a democrat; He does not impose Himself or His will on anyone. Rather He allows us to
exhaust whatever worldly advantages we feel we have, so that when we have learnt our lessons, we
would come to Him and value Him.

THIS CHRIST DID FOR YOU

Isaiah 53:5 - But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment
that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
When you pray, what do you ask for? Whatever you pray for, our Lord, Jesus Christ has paid the price for
it on the Cross.
Jesus has purchased our redemption at the price of great suffering. Our redemption in Christ Jesus does
not call for our personal effort but to have a look of faith to the Cross where Jesus conquered death and
gave us the victory. A Cross was set up in the ground where hands and feet were nailed. It was a bloody
death. It was a painful death. It was a cursed death. It was so miserable. He was crushed, tortured,
humiliated, dehumanised and brutally murdered. He responded with forgiveness, knowing that His death
on the Cross would accomplish salvation for mankind. He purchased our deliverance, our salvation and
our blessing at the price of great suffering. This Christ did for you. What have you done for Him?

BUILD AN EXTRAORDINARY RELATIONSHIP

1 Corinthians 3:9-13, For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus
Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each
ones work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will
test each ones work, of what sort it is.
The foundation Jesus laid was a unique and advanced form of love, wisdom and faith. It was Jesus great
design to engage all His followers to love one another. Thousands sat for days as Jesus taught them the
law of God and how to have an extraordinary relationship with others. An extraordinary relationship
transcends political, business and ethnic affiliations. Christs standard of love and relationship is advanced
because it sees beyond hatred. We are to build upon that foundation.
Until we begin to accept the differences in our personalities, we cannot move forward in Christs standard
of relationship. Relationship is all about beneficial co-operation but a relationship does not involve two
perfect people. That is why in an extraordinary relationship, there is room for forgiveness, generally on a
daily basis. Forgiveness paves the way for a harmonious relationship even with our enemies. The fact that
we disagree on a certain issue should not break our friendship because in Christ Jesus, we are one
anothers strength. Dont allow confrontation or sin to pull your relationship down or tear it apart. Turn your

scars into stars. An extraordinary relationship does not just happen; it is built - build yours upon the
foundation of Christ by adding faith, hope, love and all the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

More Than Meets the Eye

Dont worry about what your situation looks like today. As Christians, it is important to know that there is
more to life than what meets the ordinary eye. We ought to understand that there are two sides to life, just
as there are two sides to a coin. There is the physical side in which people try to figure God out with their
natural minds and there is the spiritual side; the ultimate conclusion where satan was defeated. In 2 Kings
6:16 Elisha said, Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them. He knew
that his victory was a spiritual one. If you are facing a difficult situation and it seems that you are running
out of rope; then it is time to grab on to faith. Faith believes the impossible, receives the incredible, and
sees the invisible. We must understand that our redemption does not call for our personal effort but to
have a look of faith to the Cross, where Jesus Christ conquered death and gave us victory. The kind of
victory that nothing could and nothing can destroy. Thank You, Jesus!

A CLEAN HEART
Each time we sin, we come short of Gods grace. When we come short of His grace, our strength and
everything that makes meaning in us is gone.
David must have felt very dirty when he realized he had sinned. Sin is the bitter root of sorrow. When it is
taken away, we can pray in faith.
Whether your sin is great or small, you can still be cleansed.
Say to God, Dirty as I am You can still cleanse me.
Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

MAKE THE YEAR NEW

Every year, many people make New Years resolution that soon fizzle out as the beginning of the year
continues to tick by - day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. Why is it that you cannot keep your
resolutions? The resolution to read your Bible more, pray more, stop sinning, stop drinking and smoking,
give more to charity, etc. You know the New Years resolutions I am talking about.
If this year is going to be new for you, there is a principle you must follow: you begin to enjoy the New
Year when you focus on your future.
John 14:2 My Fathers house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am
going there to prepare a place for you?
This means that you should focus on what God has in store for you instead of on the troubles of this
world. No doubt about it, there will be trouble. The moment you are born, you are born into trouble. But
Jesus says in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth and the life. In this passage, Jesus was not saying that
we lack reason to be troubled; He was saying that there is a greater reason not to be. God never

promised to keep us away from trials and trouble but He promises to see us through. God gives us
enough grace for whatever situation we face.
As you continue in this New Year 2013, do not be agitated, stressed out or thrown into confusion when
you are face to face with the troubles of this world. Listen to the encouraging words of our Lord and
Saviour, Jesus Christ in John 16:33 In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome
the world.

EXPRESS LOVE TODAY

A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in
families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity. Psalm 68:5-6
God loves the orphans, the strangers, the widows, the needy, just name them. Therefore man, if he loves
God truly, is under obligation to love his fellow man. Gods mercy and compassion is new in our...

DONT BE STRESSED OUT, AGITATED AND THROWN INTO CONFUSION.

We can all acknowledge that life is filled with trouble. Job 5:7 says, Man is born to trouble. From the
moment you leave your mothers womb, you encounter trouble; life begins with a doctors slap on our
backside.
Jesus tells us in John 14:2-3 that there are troubles in the world but dont be agitated, stressed out and
thrown into confusion. Though there is reason to be troubled, there is a greater reason not to be because
as a Christian, God is aware of our challenges and prepares us for each days challenges. To live this
New Year in Gods promises and for the glory of God, you must use todays supplies and let tomorrow be,
let next be because when you worry about tomorrow, you cripple your ability to think, act and exercise
faith in the present.

THE DOOR TO OPPORTUNITY

One of the greatest gifts God has given us is the freedom to make decisions. Life is all about choices and
how we respond to every situation. The choices you make today determine what you will become
tomorrow. All of us have made bad decisions and wrong choices and all of us can be forgiven and start
over. Whatever your decision cost you, God loves you. The way through your fear of failure or the extreme
discouragement that comes because you have failed is to turn it around and look at it as a life lesson. As
long as you live, you continue to learn. Life never completely closes the door to opportunity. This day I
call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death,
blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live (Deuteronomy 30:19)

CHRISTMAS GREETINGS FROM T.B. JOSHUA

This is T.B. Joshua. On behalf of The SCOAN family and Emmanuel TV, I wish you a blessed Christmas!
Remember, Jesus Christ is the reason for Christmas.
God expects our best because He gives us His best (John 3:16). God has a Son; He planted Him in the
earth to produce a family. Today millions are born again through His best seed. Register your appreciation
by giving to God everything He has given you - your time, strength, loyalty - and you shall receive in return
abundant blessing. Happy Christmas and New Year in advance!

Prayer: Oh Lord, draw me towards You today.#season Greetings

CONQUER YOUR PAST & FOCUS ON YOUR FUTURE

In John 15:3, Jesus said to His disciples, You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to
you. In other words, Your past is over by reason of the Gospel grace. Your past is over. Unless you
conquer the past, you cannot focus on the future. If your past must be over, you have to outgrow it. In
other words, if you desire to focus on your future, you must first conquer the past. You must be forward
looking because you cannot look in different directions at the same time. The One who determines our
future is our Lord Jesus Christ and He does not consult our past to determine our future. Your past is
over; your troubles are gone and forgotten.

#Words of Encouragement#
OUR FAMILY LAWYER
In this day and age, almost everybody has a lawyer to represent them in their daily affairs. But did you
know that you have a Family Lawyer at the right hand of the Father in Heaven interceding for you right
now?
1 John 2:1

My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an Advocate
with the FatherJesus Christ, the Righteous One.
Every morning, we wake up determined to get it right. Before we know it, we have missed the mark and
sinned. People make mistakes - even if you are a Christian, you are going to make mistakes. Our
response to somebody who makes a mistake can also be a mistake if we are not careful. Our concern
must be twofold: not only what we do that is in error but also how we respond to those who make a
mistake.
Remember, when a believer sins, he does not lose his place as a son but he loses his fellowship.
Whenever we sin and our fellowship is broken, we have Someone at the right hand of the Father who ever
remains faithful. Jesus is our Family Lawyer.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, we thank You for never disconnecting Yourself from those who made mistakes with
their lives in the past. Father, we know You will not disconnect Yourself from us. If theres any sin we might
have committed knowingly or unknowingly, forgive them Lord, in Jesus name.

TAKE REFUGE
People feel secure in their homes until natural disaster hits or robbers break in. People feel safe in their
families and with friends until crisis hits of separation, death or violent rebellion. People take for granted
their health until sickness, disease or injury kicks in. As for me and my house, I have no other refuge than
this command of Jesus, Only believe that is my refuge. When natural disaster hits, only believe that God
will see you through. When separation hits, only believe that God is powerful and faithful to His faithful
ones. When sickness comes, only believe that it will not last long it may be to stop you a while to
improve your relationship with God. As believers, our troubles are not to impair us but improve us when
we face them in faith, believing that it is to advance our cause and course in the Lord. So, take refuge in
Him; He is there to walk you through. Psalm 91:15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be
with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him.

BIGGER THAN ANY UNIVERSE

Romans 8:35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or
nakedness or danger or sword?
Have your circumstances ever pressed you to doubt Gods love?
Whatever circumstances you might be facing as a Christian, Gods love does not keep you from trials - it
promises to see you through. Like David, in knowing Gods love, he was pressing on to tomorrow. No

matter what came, he still believed God loved him. Bigger than any universe, richer than any mineral,
warmer than any sun - that is His love for you. Nothing that is under the sun can be compared with His
love. He loves you just as much as He did those during the time of His earthly ministry.

THE COST OF IMPATIENCE

As you are trying to make it in your respective calling, always remember: the road to your divine destiny is
not a bed of roses. Many want to enjoy money, fame and power they never worked for. In an attempt to
beat Gods appointed time, we find ourselves entangled with conditions we are unable meet, thus
jeopardising the promises of God in our lives. I mean, many due to impatience, now wear the chains they
forged in life. The greatest mistakes always happen because of impatience. As a man of faith, no matter
how long, patience, perseverance and endurance are your tools. Psalm 37:7-9, 16-17.
If Joseph had been inpatient for success and used Potiphars wifes carnal desire for him to climb the
success ladder, that success would not have stood the test of time because when that desire faded away,
it would have left him worse off than before. Imprisonment, at its face value may seem foolish but God
used it to reveal His purpose in Josephs life. They are strong who rely on God for their refuge, stronghold,
and vindication for God always shows Himself strong on behalf of those who rely on Him. Our confidence
must be in Gods Word which is constant and unchanging. The blessings of the world enrich the body
temporarily but the blessings of Christ enrich the soul for eternity. Lets live for eternity and we shall
secure all that is available in it.

YOUR DRY PIT

What is your dry pit today? Your dry pit could be sickness, poverty, barrenness, hatred, just name it.
Whatever it is it is pain and suffering. Anything that constitutes discomfort is pain and suffering. As a
Christian, your pain and suffering serves to keep you for a new level in life. Let us look at the case of
Joseph. Joseph was kept in the dry pit and then, sold as a slave in order to have a new level in life
(Genesis 37:12-28). In Potiphars house where Joseph was enjoying, he was not overexcited at the
happenings around him rather he saw his purpose of life beyond the enjoyment (Genesis 39:1-9). So
also, our purpose of life sees beyond the pain and joy we receive. While Joseph was in the prison, he did
not murmur instead he resigned himself to fate (Genesis 39:7-23). That is, he saw the situation as an act
of God. If he had not been thrown into prison, he would not have met the person that would take him to
the throne (Genesis 41:37). Therefore, the lesson to be learned from the life of Joseph is that your
situation may be to keep you for a new level in life, it may be to keep you for the challenges ahead or it
may be to strengthen your desire for Jesus Christ. So, dont let your dry pit get you down. Keep pressing
in Jesus name and in His time.

ALIVE IN CHRIST JESUS

Our Lord Jesus Christ stressed the foolishness in worrying ourselves about tomorrow for tomorrow has
got enough troubles and worries of its own to contend with. It is foolish, He says, to add to the troubles
each day brings (Matthew 6:34). Todays trouble is enough for today. God is aware of our challenges and
prepares us for each days challenges. There is no provision for carryover. In other words, we should live
each day as if it were our last and then cast the burden of tomorrow on God. Only then can we be dead to
what our situations say and be alive in Christ Jesus. Then, we would be able to use the present supplies
for the present circumstance and let next be. Yesterday is history; today is opportunity, while tomorrow is
mystery. Let us leave tomorrows troubles for the One who bore our troubles on the Cross.

FAITH RELATES TO THE INVISIBLE

HEBREWS 11:1-3 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not
see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed
at Gods command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Faith is related solely and exclusively to two realities to God and to Gods Word. Faith in the actual
sense takes us behind the visible to the invisible. Faith relates to the invisible. That vital point is that faith
sees the unseen. Faith sees the unseen and thus, encourages us to endure when the world offers us no
hope or encouragement. Truly, faith believes the impossible, sees the invisible and receives the incredible.
When you walk by faith, you dont need sight but when you walk by sight, you cannot walk by faith.

OVERCOME YOUR FEARS

One of the biggest temptations we face in life is to fear. Many fears exist fear of loss, failure, the past,
etc. Fear robs us of our determination and will-power. It causes our hope to shrivel and die. Fear may
have prevented you from making important decisions in your life. Fear and insecurity dominate the life
without faith. Looking at life and its adversities from a natural point of view brings fear, worry and anxiety
but a look of faith brings improvement. So, whatever your situation, dont give in to fear. Keep the faith and
take heart for God said: Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. 6 So we say with confidence,
The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Hebrews 13:5-6) Millions
have surrendered to their fears while their hearts dream of a miracle. Dont let this happen to you;
overcome your fears today, in Jesus name!

Feel His Presence.

How are you feeling today? At this moment, you may be facing a situation that will challenge your faith but
fear not! As a child of God, you should always be happy even when there is nothing to be happy about on
the outside. You need no more to make you happy than to have the presence of God with your spirit. With
Jesus with your spirit, the Bible says in Psalm 91:7, A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at

your right hand, but it will not come near you.

No matter what happens, with Jesus, you can stand your ground fearlessly without wavering. Jesus Christ
is not hidden in a palace. He is reachable. Reach Him now. He is as close to you as He was to the man at
the pool of Bethesda, asking you, What can I do for you? He is with you in the living Word.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, let Your presence be with my spirit, in Jesus name.

BE ALL GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO BE

Question: Are you all that God has called you to be?
The challenge that many people are facing today is that their minds are occupied with worldly
considerations, such as, What shall I eat, what am I going to wear, where am I going to find a job?
However, the Bible makes us understand that the first place we are to prosper is in our spiritual lives.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be
added to you.
For you to be all God has called you to be, you have to spend time with Him and learn at His feet. Are you
spending time with the right source? Are you spending time with Your Creator? Remember the plan of
success that God gave to Joshua in the Book of Joshua 1:8 - keep the Word of God in your mouth,
meditate on it day and night and do what the Word says.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, the first place I am to prosper is in my spiritual life. Give me the grace to spend time
with You and learn at Your feet, in Jesus name. Amen.

YESTERDAYS FAILURE BECOMING TODAYS SUCCESS

When you look around you today, you will notice that there are two sets of people: losers and winners.
Philippians 3:12-14. Yesterdays failure can become todays success; tragedies can become triumph when
God is involved. We have seen a sinners character healed. Christians can make bad mistakes but
because of their relationship with God, they know they can immediately go to God over their behaviour.
God helps them get back on their feet, forgives them and helps them not to make the mistake again. Is
any weakness holding you down? What you see as a disadvantage can be turned into an advantage only
if you run to God and not from Him. Remember, Jesus Christ is the sinners only saviour. He wants to be
involved in all you do and walk you through whatever life brings.

LIFE BEGINS WITH A RELATIONSHIP

Life does not begin with a relationship with people. It begins with a relationship with God and that
relationship overflows to people. God Almighty said in Jeremiah 1:5, Before I formed you in the womb, I

knew you. His desire is to be our first and greatest friend. His aim is to have a close relationship and
friendship with us.
This is the purpose of Christianity. For Christianity, although practiced by man on earth is a spiritual affair
in which the Christian communes in faith with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Christianity therefore, is
all about relationship and the atmosphere produced by that relationship. This is the golden thread that
links creation to its Maker, Jesus Christ.
As you go about your day, Ask now about the former days, long before your time, from the day God
created human beings on the earth; ask from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything so great
as this ever happened, or has anything like it ever been heard of? (Deuteronomy 4:32)

GODS FORGIVENESS
1 John 2:1, My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we
have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
The unsaved might cry for a thousand years but if there was no Mediator, there would be no hope for
them because no man can approach God without a Mediator. The sinner cannot reach God except
through Jesus. Faith allows me to embrace what Jesus did for me on the Cross. He died for us; He reigns
in power for us and still prays for us. Following Christs example, we are to pray for our friends and
acquaintances, even when they hurt us. Is there someone you can pray for today? Nothing makes you
love a person so much as praying for them.
It is also Gods will that you remember that you have sinned and have been forgiven. That remembrance
creates in you a merciful, compassionate heart towards others. Stay current, do not bring up past
accounts that are paid for and forgiven.
If you fail to receive Gods forgiveness, or fail to forgive those who sinned against you, you will be in a
torture chamber. You will find yourself having to accomplish everything totally in your own strength, ability
and intelligence. That leads to high stress and emotional torture that comes with constant striving. They
work hard and struggle greatly but never succeed because they depend on earning Gods forgiveness,
which is not possible. Gods forgiveness cannot be earned, it can only be received. No matter how many
good works or how fine an attitude we put on, we cannot do enough to earn Gods forgiveness.
Forgiveness is what God does for us on our behalf. Let us trust Him to act even when we do not know
what to ask for.

** This is very Spiritual**

Be in an attitude of prayer as PROPHET TB JOSHUA lead us in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.
"Prepare me up, Lord for battle, for victory, for success, for freedom, in Jesus' name!"

REMAIN CONNECTED
You must connect by way of a personal relationship with Christ. When you connect to Christ, He will walk
you through everything you do. When you rely on Gods strength, He would not allow the enemy of your
soul to give you more than you can take. To overcome temptation you must be wired in a unique way to
the Creator of everything. When you are wired, you are no more yourself in ideas and behaviours but are
totally absorbed into the idea and ways of our Lord. Then there is nobody and there will be nobody quite
like you. Remain connected.
COLOSSIANS 2:18-19, FOR IN CHRIST ALL THE FULLNESS OF THE DEITY LIVES IN BODILY FORM,
10 AND IN CHRIST YOU HAVE BEEN BROUGHT TO FULLNESS. HE IS THE HEAD OVER EVERY
POWER AND AUTHORITY.

MAKE YOUR SELF AT HOME IN THE WORLD OF GOD

Are you tired of your situation? Are you feeling restless or distressed or lonely? Are you feeling sad or
depressed? Why dont you make yourself at home in the World of God where there is joy, peace, love,
healing, deliverance, salvation and all of Gods blessings? Jesus Christ says to you, Come to me, all you
who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). In the world of God, there is rest.
where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (1 Corinthians 3:16). In the world of God there is
freedom. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you (John
14:27). In the world of God there is peace. In the world of God, there is love (John 3:16). When you
delight in Gods Word, you make yourself at home in the World of God and become more familiar with the
way He speaks and with the way in which you answer Him with your life. When you pray, you speak to
God. When you open your Bible and read with devotion, God speaks to you and when God speaks to you,
changes are beginning in your life. He wants to think, talk, plan and act with you. He wants you to see life
the way He sees it. He wants you to get His ideas and work with His projects. He wants you to get His
opinion of yourself and others. So, make yourself at home in the World of God by talking to God and
letting God talk to you for there can be no real communion or communication unless both partake in the
conversation. When you learn what God has made you for and how He treasures your company, you will
be content, happy and self-sufficient. Make yourself at home in the World of God today!
Prayer point: Lord, Jesus Christ, create in me a thirst and hunger for your Word. Let Your Word abide in
me and me abide in Your Word, in Jesus name.

I WAS BAPTIZED IN CHRIST

If you desire to focus on your future, you must first conquer your past.
Look at your past and you would see disobedience to Gods commands, unfaithfulness, passion, and all
kinds of forbidden pleasures. You would see a world ruled by evil desires that rebels against and is
opposed to Gods will. This is the past Jesus Christ came to brush aside through His crucifixion
and resurrection. As Apostle Paul said in Galatians 2:19, I have been put to death with Christ on His
Cross, so that it is no longer I who live; now, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave His
life for me (Galatians 2:19).
I was baptized in Christ. I died when He died. Sins power over me is broken, in Jesus name.
The guilt, condemnation and penalty for our sin has been washed away in the precious blood of Jesus
Christ. Why, therefore, should we take journeys into the past? Why should we allow satan to remind us of
our unworthy past in order to provoke our guilt and tarnish our future, thereby? If you desire to focus on
your future, you must first conquer your past. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, today is
opportunity. Make the most out of the opportunity God has given you today, by realizing that by His death
and resurrection on the Cross, He now views you as righteous through His Son, Jesus Christ. Give thanks
to God that you can boldly approach Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. Give thanks to God for restoring
our relationship and fellowship with Him, in Jesus name.

DONT FORGET YOUR PURPOSE

Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD
has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong
(Job 1:21-22 NKJV).
No matter the situation or challenge you are facing now, dont forget your purpose. The purpose of life is
to know lifes creator and to glorify Him in both good and hard times alike because God is who He says He
is. Those who know the purpose of life always see beyond whatever good or bad thing comes their way.
They do not despair in the face of lifes uncertainties. This means no matter what happens, no matter
what comes, bless His holy name. When the goings are good, Jesus is Lord. When the goings become
tough, Jesus is Lord. Remember, no matter how we condition ourselves from childhood, we need to be
born again. No one is too good or too bad to qualify for redemption. A man can be sick yet be a friend of
God. A man can be poor, yet be a candidate for Heaven. Blessed be the name of the Lord!

UNREASONABLE LOVE
Do you feel betrayed because your best friend absconded with your wife on your wedding day? Do you
feel disappointed because you lost your job after being implicated by a colleague in the office? There is
this question many will ask from time to time and this question rightly comes to mind, How can I forgive
someone who has hurt me so deeply? Why must I love my enemy? Loving your enemy is always
unreasonable, unless you realise that you were an enemy of God, until He forgave you. What is
forgiveness? Forgiveness means that God looks at you as if you had never sinned. Gods forgiveness

does not sweep your sin under the carpet; instead He completely washes them away. When you receive
His forgiveness, you become blameless before Him. That is Gods forgiveness. It is also His will that you
remember that you have sinned and been forgiven. Matthew 5:44, But I say to you, love your enemies,
bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and
persecute you. Your enemy could be your neighbour, friend or those who do not share the same faith
with you but when you love an enemy, you will see him or her as Christ does. Forgiveness paves the way
for a harmonious relationship even with your enemies and being unwilling to forgive, shows that you have
not understood or benefitted from Gods forgiveness. If you have been forgiven, that forgiveness will
create in you a forgiving heart towards others. In Luke 23:34, Jesus forgave even those who mocked and
killed Him. We should be more concerned about our offenders and their relationship with God and less
about our own grudges, self-pity and ill will because the person most hurt by unforgiveness is you.

VICTORY IS ASSURED IN CHRIST JESUS

In our spiritual walk with the Lord, there are both, good and hard times alike but we thank God for God is
good all the time and all the time God is good. Because He is good, we can send our requests to Him,
share our concerns with Him and cast our cares upon Him. Psalm 91:15 says, He will call on me, and I
will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. He is ready to step into our
situation to make a difference in our lives. Therefore, we can relax in the precious arms of the Holy Spirit
for He will never leave us without blessing, healing, delivering us. He will never leave you without giving
you victory. Thus, victory is assured in Christ Jesus.

YOUR SITUATION DOES NOT EMBARRASS JESUS

What are you going through? What situation are you facing? Whatever your problem is, your situation
does not embarrass Jesus because He has solution. He was in all points tempted like as we are yet
without sin. There is no need He cannot meet. He is without peer, without equal, without equivalent,
without equipollent none can compare to Jesus. Jesus is greater than all the combined forces of hell
and earth and He overcame death for you. All you have to do is believe.
John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have
trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

PRAY THE MORE

No trouble, no matter how great should prevent you from praying. Paul and Silas prayed to God to support
and comfort them in their affliction. They prayed that their chains and stripes might become an instrument
to forward the Gospels grace and even the jailer himself became a servant of Christ - a trophy of the
Gospels victory (Acts 16:25-33). As Paul and Silas prayed in the dark hour of the night, so may we cry
out of the depths of our problem unto God. The more sensibly you handle your trouble, the better

improved you become in your relationship with God. When your trouble seems so much, decide today to
pray the more because prayer is the shortest route between your heart and God.

Remember, God will not work in your situation unless you cry out. Get ready to cry out in faith to Jesus
Christ, the Saviour!
God wants to give you a word that will change the course of your life!
Ask God to give you His blessing that would make you fulfilled in Him.
Right now, let us praise and thank God for all He has done, is doing and will do in our lives as we prepare
for the another Sunday Service Tomorrow here at The SCOAN.
Better is not good enough, the best is yet to come!

GODS TIME IS THE BEST

Gods plan for your life is beautiful. In the mind of God, you are created to be a successful person. But
today, our minds are so occupied by worldly considerations that we are impatient to recognize the fact that
there is an appointed time for everything. Ecclesiastes 9:11 says that there is a time for everything; a time
to labour and a time to reap the product of grace. As a child of God, He has many marvelous promises in
store for you just give Him a chance to prove Himself. How do we do that? Give God time, the results
are working themselves out, slowly but surely.
Wait patiently for the Lord, He knows what is best for you and will work it out. I mean, be patient and let
God answer your request on His schedule not yours, keeping in mind that when you are patient, you
discover Gods presence (Psalm 37:7).
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, grant me the Spirit of forbearance because I have discovered Your presence within
me, in Jesus name.

Prophet T.B. Joshua is right now praying for fans all around the globe Emmanuel! God is with us as it says

CONFESS WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST

One of the daily battles we face is the temptation to speak negatively, to confess our weaknesses, failures
and limitations. Yet, as we succumb to such temptations, how much do we realise that we become what
we confess? Our faith follows in the footsteps of our confession. When the bed of confession is well-laid,
enduring faith will lie secure on it. Every time we confess weakness and failure, we magnify the adversary
above the Father and thus destroy our confidence in Gods Word. Our life will always go to the level of our
words. We Christians should talk as a chosen generation, a royal priesthood. We have authority because
God is supporting our position (Matthew 21:21). We are bold to speak Gods language. Jesus Christ
confessed who He was and equally, we should confess who we are in Him that we are redeemed,
blessed, justified and no longer condemned. When we realise that we will never rise above our
confession, we are getting to the place where God can really begin to use us.

THE LIGHT OF GODS LOVE

The glorious message of Christs resurrection - Jesus Christ lives; He never said, Goodbye! He never
said there would be no more bread for the hungry. He never said there would be no more water for the
thirsty. He never said there would no longer be a roadmap for the lost. He never said there would be no
more light for the blind. He who was, is and is to come, came down from Heaven and is in Heaven so
those who were hungry may be filled, those who were naked may be clothed and those who walked in
darkness may see a great light. Jesus is the light and He calls you to follow in the light of His love. Jesus
Christ was born, lived, died and rose again for Gods mission of love dispelling every shade of darkness
in our lives through the light of His love. Let His light shine in you. Follow in the light of love. Do love. Act
love. Let us show that we are the products of love the sons and daughters of love and let love lead
(John 15:12-14).

Get ready to meet with Jesus Christ in today.

He is all that we need.
Ask God to give you His blessing that would make you fulfilled in Him.
When you are fulfilled in God, you lack nothing; you want nothing.
Psalm 23:1-2 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green
pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters

DONT MISINTERPRET GODS SILENCE AS REJECTION

Jesus Christ never rejected the sinful Samaritan woman but rather He showed her love and acceptance
by offering her living water (John 4: 7- 10). This means Jesus will never reject anyone who comes to Him
to be cleansed from sin. Whatever situation you are facing, Jesus will never reject you. Jesus accepts
anyone who comes to Him in faith. Maybe you have prayed but have not yet received an answer. Dont
misinterpret Gods silence as rejection. Our Lord gives healing when we are sick. He gives blessing when
we are poor. Jesus accepts anyone who comes to Him in faith, even those who previously rejected Him.
Gods silence maybe to strengthen your desire for Him, to reform you for a better position or to stop you
awhile to prepare you for the challenges ahead.

FILLING YOUR PRAYER WITH SCRIPTURES

Using the Word of God in your prayer helps ensure that your prayer lines up with Gods Word and
intention for your life. So, fill your prayers with scriptures so that you do not discuss your battle instead of
the one fighting for you. Jesus has no place in the life that is not dominated by the Word, because the
Word dominating you is the Lordship of Christ in you. If you are a doer of the Word, the Word will be living
in your lips, just exactly as it lives in the Master's mouth. Your word becomes God's Word and your lips
becomes God's ambassador. Its not the amount of prayer you pray, but the faith you put into your prayer
that counts. For Jesus Christ has done everything for us, all we need to do is to believe.

Jesus' power and authority are unlimited. Deliverance in the power of the Holy Spirit will take place right
now. As the man of God visit the Prayer Mountain for your sakes, prepare to receive your own Deliverance
because distance is not a barrier!

THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF LOVE

Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God,
because God is love.
Love brought us into being. It is the greatest, the golden thread that links all of creation. We are therefore
loves products the sons and daughters of love.
We are called to do love, act love and let love lead. Remember the word of Jesus love your enemies. In
life, I have never seen where hatred overcomes love. Love therefore becomes our protection against the
hatred of the adversary. When you love, you overcome for hatred is powerless in the face of loves power
and armour.
Sons and daughters of love, we know ourselves. We are never anxious for anything. We are not jealous,
envious, proud or self-centred. We do not hold malice or remember faults. Rather, love cares more for
others than for self. Love does not want what it does not have. Love is positive; it does not want anything
negative. Love is good; it does not want anything bad. Love does not want hatred because love is love.
Love stoops; it comes down to the level of every person. Love doesn't belittle anyone. Love doesn't force
itself on others. Love puts up with anything, meaning love is tolerant. Love is determined. Love perseveres
for the best which is yet to come. Love is God; God is love. He that abides in love abides in God and God
abides in him. These are the sons and daughters of love.

DONT BE A COPYCAT
We are living in a world filled with imitation and sometimes, its difficult to even recognise the original from
the copy. God did not create us to imitate anybody because faith cannot be imitated. You are a special
person; you are not like me and I am not like you. There is nobody and there will never be anybody quite
like you. When you dont know who you are, you will begin to copy me. When you find out what God has
made you for and how much He cherishes your company, you are bound to be self-sufficient, content and
happy with whom you are. When you step out in the direction of your calling, you will astonish yourself,
become the centre of your world and leave a legacy.
Psalm 139:13-14 - For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers womb. I praise
you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made

RESIST TEMPTATION
Romans 8:5-8 Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature
desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

In the heart of man, there is a constant battle between the flesh and the spirit. Fleshly desires and
spiritual desires are two different opposing masters - and no man can serve two masters with equal
concentration, attention and loyalty. Anything you love above all becomes your god. Temptation is the
presentation of evil; it is an opportunity to choose temporary pleasure rather than permanent gain.
Therefore, dont sacrifice your future for your present. As a Christian, though you live in the flesh, you
should not live after the flesh. Jesus knows that we need those fleshy comforts to live for Him, but He
instructs us to Seek first the kingdom and its righteousness for all other things to be added unto us
(Matthew 6:33). Love God above all and put God where He belongs in your life, for then every other thing
would come in Gods time and way. Galatians 6:7-8 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A
man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap
destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

By faith is our fear defeated.3.

THE BREAD OF LIFE

In life, man is always in want of one thing or the other but the moment you encounter Jesus, you will lack
nothing because His grace is sufficient. Thousands were spiritually starved. Jesus said, I am the Bread of
life. The Canaanite woman knew this. Her interest was centred on the Bread of life, which only Jesus
could provide (Matthew 15:21-24). So, when you pray, dont limit Jesus to a particular need. Just ask for
His mercy and favour because it is unlimited.

When Jesus Christ delivers you, He delivers you effectually. When Jesus Christ heals you, He heals you
effectually. If you are willing to be delivered, the job is half done because Jesus is willing to deliver you. If
you are willing to be healed, the job is half done because Jesus is willing to heal you. Remember, it is not
all up to God to bring about what you are looking for. It takes both God's ability and your genuine
willingness to bring about what you are looking for. Right now, Begin to confess your freedom; say I am

free from fleshly lusts and ungodly thoughts and desire! I am free from unfaithfulness! I am free from
immorality! - believing is our connection.
You are Free indeed!

CAST ASIDE EVERY HINDRANCE

Mark 10:49-50, So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man,
saying to him, Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you. And throwing aside his garment, he rose and
came to Jesus.
Blind Bartimaeus realized that he could not face two directions his past and his future - at the same
time. Weighing up his options, he discovered that where he was going was better than where he was
coming from and abandoned his old way to follow Jesus, the Owner of his future. We follow Jesus Christ
when our will is obedient to Gods will. In his moment of regeneration and renewal, Bartimaeus made a
heart decision and cast aside everything that could hinder his movement towards Jesus. What was
holding him back from coming to Jesus was his sinful nature, his old self and self-righteousness. Many in
the church seem to miss the mark because they have not made that same decision from the heart. That is
why they seem to lose focus and balance when answers to their prayers do not seem forthcoming. To
make a heart decision to follow Jesus, you must cast aside your old self, sinful nature and selfrighteousness. Faith is our movement towards Jesus. Man cannot discover new oceans unless he first
loses sight of the shore. Jesus will not do for you what you must do for yourself. So, by faith, let go of your
old nature as blind Bartimaeus did and embrace Jesus Christ.

GETTING YOUR CORRUPT NATURE CHANGED

Today, many bother about the solution rather than the cause of their problem. They bother about healing
rather than the Healer. They bother about blessing rather than the blessing Provider. But very unlike many
of us, King Davids concern was to get his corrupt nature changed because forgiveness of sin strikes the
root of all pain. Psalm 51: 1 end. The Psalmist, asked not to be comforted til he was cleansed from his
sin. He knew that pardon of sin would strike the root of all pain and trouble because when your sin is
pardoned, you are healed, blessed, saved and delivered indeed. When the burden of guilt hits us, I mean
when we sin, it is not in our own power to amend it but rather take it to God Almighty; He is the only one
who can rid us of all sin. Acknowledging our sin, admitting our guilt and trusting in Christs sacrifice is the
only thing that can make us clean and whole within. Therefore, only God who makes the heart can make
it new. To His power nothing is impossible.
