Introduction

Authors who have had their abstract submission


accepted for CTMC2016 should prepare their full paper
in accordance with the guidance provided in this
document.
All authors must submit
1) A full technical paper (as described in this
document) of up to 12 pages in length for
publication on DVD;
2) An extended abstract of 2 pages in length
(guidance for submission of the extended
abstract is provided online) for inclusion in the
printed proceedings.
The full paper is formatted for A4 paper. Type the title
of your paper at the top of this page in the style
PaperTitle. Each author should be listed below in the
style AuthorNames, with their affiliations denoted by
superscript numbers and written below in the style
AuthorAffiliation.
A short abstract of no more than 200 words should be
written in the space provided.
Margins are 1.5cm at the left, right and bottom, and
3cm at the top. There are two columns of text in the
main body of the paper, each of which is 8.62cm wide

with a 0.75cm space between them. Write your first


paragraph of each section in the style FirstParagraph.
The second and subsequent paragraphs should be
written in the style BodyText. Three level headings
may be used. The styles are Heading 1, Heading 2 and
Heading 3.
All text should be written in the styles provided in the
paper template (Arial font).

Paper length

The paper should be between 4 and 8 pages in


length.
Final page requirements
Columns on the final page should be of equal
length, and where possible the columns of the final
page should extend at least half way down the page.

2.1

Tables and figures


Tables

Tables should fill either fill a single column, or


should cross both columns to fill the width of the page.
They should be captioned above in the order they are
referenced in the text.
The caption should be in the Caption style (11 point
font placed above the table). A single line spacing

should separate the bottom of the table with the body


text - see Table 1. Tables should not break across
pages.

Your list of references should be placed at the end of
the abstract using the References style.

Units
You should use SI units throughout the paper.

Figures

Figures should be inserted to fill one column width,


or if necessary should cross two columns to fill a page.
Captions should be placed below the Figure, as shown
in Figure 1.
Figures should be a minimum of 300dpi
photographs and 600dpi for line drawings.

Submission

The full paper and extended abstract (see guidance


for the extended abstract, available online, for full
details) should be submitted together in a total of four
files:

FULL_SUBMISSION, followed by the full name of the
lead author (e.g.: FULL_SUBMISSION Orr, John).

Equations

Equations should be edited in a suitable equation


editor. They should be written in size 11 point script,
preferably Times New Roman. They should be inserted
into the text using the Equation style and numbered
sequentially, see Eq.(1).
Variables should be defined immediately below the
Equation using the style Variables.

The submission email should contain all four of the
required files.
Authors with an accepted abstract may submit their full
paper and extended abstract for review any time up
until the 5th January 2016.

5.1

Review process

All papers and extended abstracts will be subject to


a technical review. Submissions will be reviewed as
soon as they are received, and comments will be
forwarded to authors as soon as possible.

After inserting the variable definitions, hit return to


revert to the BodyText style.

Authors whose paper and/or extended abstract


requires changes following the review will then have
until 20th February 2016 to make the required changes.

References
Style

The Havard Referencing Style (Author, Year) should


be used throughout the paper. Samples are provided
for a book (Wells, 1975); a journal paper (Brunner,
