1. Introduction
This document provides the users with the detailed instructions on how to operate and use the
BROKER systems STANDARD EXCLUSIONS module
1.1 Purpose
The user guide document presents the functions and features that are available for the
STANDARD EXCLUSIONS MAINTENANCE module. This document also captures the user
interface screens based on the functionalities and features of the module. However, future
changes may still be possible based on the additional change requests that will be
submitted by the concerned units. This document has four (4) sections. These are the
Creation, Viewing, Editing and Deletion of Standard Exclusions. The section on the
Creation section will provide the procedure on how to create and indicate information
pertaining to Standard Exclusions. In the Viewing section, user will be guided on how to
search and view records that have been maintained in the system. The Editing section will
explain the procedure on how to edit or modify information pertaining to records that have
been maintained. The Deletion part lists the steps on how to remove or delete Standard
Exclusions that have been maintained in the system.
1.2 Audience
The documents intended audiences are the users and system administrator of the
BROKER system Standard Exclusions Maintenance module.

2. Standard Exclusions
2.1 Create Standard Exclusions
1. In the system menu screen, go to MAINTENANCE > STANDARD EXCLUSIONS.

NOTE: The system menu that will be available to the user will be based on the accesses
and rights that were granted to the user. To be able to access the Clauses and
Warranties Maintenance module, user should have been granted access to this module.

2. In the Standard Exclusions List screen, click Add Record.

3. In the Standard Exclusions screen, indicate the following: Line of Insurance,


Code, Name and Description. Click Save to keep record. Otherwise, click Cancel.

4. In the Save Confirmation screen, click OK.

2.2 View Clauses and Warranties


1. From the Standard Exclusions List (section 2.2.2.22 above) screen, the system
will display records that have been created in the system. User may limit the number
of records that will be shown by indicating the count on the Record per Page drop
down list located at the upper portion of the results screen.

NOTE: The following data columns will be displayed to the user: Product Line, Code,
Name and Description.
2.3 Edit Standard Exclusions
1. From the Standard Exclusions List (section 2.2.2. 2above) screen, the system
will display records that have been created in the system. Choose and click record.
Click Edit Record.

2. In the Standard Exclusions screen, edit information. Click Save to effect changes.
Otherwise, click Cancel.

3. In the Save Confirmation screen, click OK.

2.4 Delete Standard Exclusions


1. From the Standard Exclusions List (section 2.2.2.2 above) screen, the system
will display records that have been created in the system. Choose and click record.
Click Delete Record.

2. In the Standard Exclusions screen, click OK to delete record. Otherwise, click


Cancel.

Note: User will not be allowed to delete Standard Exclusions that have been used in the
Package Maintenance. Click OK to close message.

3. In the Delete Confirmation pop up screen, click OK.
