Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy

President of France
C/O Consulat General of France
934 Fifth Avenue
New York, NY 10021

Dear Mr. President,

We, the freedom fighters for Burma, would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation toward
your citizens and leaders of France for the humanitarian effort toward our country, Burma.

Currently, the situation in Burma has created a few improvements towards the recovery after the
United Nation Secretary-General’s visit to our cyclone battered Burma. After three weeks of
denying the international aid workers to Burma, it could be one of those deceits that Junta is
attempting to accomplish. Even though current agreement by Junta cannot be characterized as a
“breakthrough”, we truly hope that this acceptance of the international relief effort is a positive
sign towards the speedy recovery and rebuilding process.

At the same time, we were weary that Junta’s acceptance for international aid in principle could
be one of the dirty tricks that they are going to use towards the citizens of Burma. It is because
SPDC is notorious for using dirty tricks and tactics towards its own citizens. In the past, the
Military Junta has failed to transfer the power to the fairly elected Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s
Party, National League for Democracy since 1991. Not only that they have brutally crushed the
uprising by the monks and citizens in September of 2007.

The most obvious dirty tricks and tactics by them were holding the national referendum despite
the fact that the country has gone through tremendous humanitarian disaster of the century by
Cyclone Nagris. These actions have indicated that Military Junta will do anything to get a hold of
their power. They have no regards and sympathy for human lives or the country Burma. Their
actions are very similar to the genocide carried out by the African War Lords and dictators.

Therefore, we would like to make a very sincere request to the leaders of the France to continue
to take in the consideration for “Humanitarian Intervention” toward our country Burma without
waiting United Nation’s approval. We have seen the effective actions of Humanitarian
Intervention to other countries such as Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1991 and Somalia in 1995. Any
delay to persuade this action could cost thousands of people lives.

We truly hope that your country and its allies are the only countries that can stop this natural
disaster from becoming a man-made genocide by the Military Regime of Burma.

With much hope and wishes,
