T A H I T I A N C O S T U M E S
VERY IMPORTANT! Due to Aloha Hula Supply being unable to get the shade of orange dye that we
require for the Tahitian Costumes, we have decided to CHANGE colors to Ilima (GOLD).
You need to get your orders in quick as they tend to sell out of stock at this time of year due to the
Tahitian Dance Competitions (HEIVA) in Tahiti! Please order ONE of each of the following items!
If you are shorter than 5 feet tall or are under the age of 12 --- you DO NOT need to order the T1 long
skirt --- instead you will need to order TWO (2) of the T4 skirt fringe!
T1 Tahitian Skirt: undecorated, authentic bark skirt;

Approx. 38'W x 38" ($45.00 ea) Ilima (GOLD) --- ORDER only if taller than 5 FEET or over 12 years old!
T2 Hand Tassels (II): made from the same bark material as the skirt and the same colors;

Med - 13"L [$13.00 pr] Ilima (GOLD)

T4 Skirt Fringe: a short skirt used for making ceremonial head dresses, capes, layered skirts, etc.; colors are the same as T1

Approx. 38"W x 20"L {$22.00 ea} Ilima (GOLD) --- TWO (2) for people under 5 feet tall or under 12 years old!

AS SOON AS POSSIBLE you will need to PAY $150 (one hundred fifty dollars) to us!
This amount will include:
• A Full Tahitian Headpiece with shells, short feathers and long feathers (which we will make for you)
• All shells for your Tahitian Hip Band as well as your Neck Piece
• All long feathers for your Tahitian Hip Band as well as short feathers for your Neck Piece
• All fabric for covering your bra (you must provide bra), head piece, hip band, skirt band & neck piece
• All supplies for the Costume Making workshop (long needles, nylon, scissors, velcro, etc.....)
• Canvas for your belts and neck pieces
• We will also have your hip belts pre-covered with fabric and velcro
WE DECIDED THAT THE CHEAPEST WAY TO GET ALL THE SUPPLIES FOR YOUR TAHITIAN
COSTUMES AND GET THEM MADE WAS FOR US TO MAKE YOUR HEADPIECES FOR YOU (at no
extra cost) AND SUPPLY EVERYTHING (other than skirt, fringe and hand tassels) FOR YOUR COSTUME
MAKING WORKSHOP! We didn’t want you to have to pay $250 just for a headpiece and still have to
purchase the rest of your supplies ... so we decided to make your headpieces and provide EVERYTHING
you will need (other than skirting) , as well as TEACH you how to make your costume! This will be a
GREAT learning experience for everyone --- and hopefully the girls will take good care of their costumes
because they will actually UNDERSTAND the effort that goes into making them!

Here is an EXAMPLE of a beautiful Ilima

(GOLD) Tahitian Costume

of how beautiful the costume will be. Ilima
