With millions of Americans unchurched, and a sizeable percent being
young adults who are 18-29 years old, the opportunity to make room to
welcome comes every week. As a ministry consultant, Lynette Hawkins
works with pastors, ministry leaders, faith based nonprofit organizations
and communicators. Lynette offers practical insight and meaningful
information on reaching the next generation. She has spoken at national
conferences, regional judicatories, retreats, conventions and evangelism
summits.
During her quest to find a church home, she
mirrored the typical unchurched person in the
United States. She was looking for a place to
build a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ,
feel welcomed and be inspired to live out her
purpose. Her ministry experience as an ordained
elder along with her 25 plus years of professional
training in the area of communications inspired
her to seek ways to help others know the
importance of reaching out, welcoming and
communicating in ways that new comers feel
welcomed. This led her to the creation of Make
Room to Welcome DVD and A.R.K.(Attract,
Reach, Keep) seminar where she shares practical ways to share
hospitality and communication. Lynette has conducted seminars and
coached hundreds of leaders nationally across faith traditions.
Make Room to Welcome DVD was created to encourage ushers, greeters
and members that sit in the pews to welcome even strangers. It provides
