Solver helps to considerably improve business productivity, drastically decrease roll-out time of new

new platform boasts 20 times higher system capacity, enhanced complex functionalities like VoLTE with
SRVCC hand-over, and an unrivalled priceperformance ratio on load testing for voice in 2G/3G and 4G
networks.
VoLTE technology improves the efficiency of mobile voice communication, while introducing new call
scenarios. During the implementation phase of VoLTE in network nodes and in operators live networks, a
large amount of new scenarios is required to be handled. With Solver all these scenarios can be simulated
and tested to ensure the right functionality with real voice traffic. Solver can put the network or relevant nodes
under low or high load to find functional problems or quality issues.
SOLVER
Solver delivers full wire-speed load on 10 Gb Ethernet
ports with voice traffic that helps communication
service providers and network manufactures to
efficiently test voice handling and voice quality in their
labs and networks.
Solver VoLTE simulates the full E-UTRAN, with
eNodeBs, UEs (User Equipment) and subscribers. It
is able to generate a high amount of calls towards
the IMS network, via LTE, to stress test both the EPC
and IMS. By generating user data and doing PESQ/

POLQA measurements, not only signaling nodes but

also entities that handle user data (such as media
gateways or SBC) can be verified during load. Solver
VoLTE can simulate 500 000 subscribers being
attached to the LTE and IMS networks thereby
enables testing of customers networks in real life
load scenarios. Each subscriber will first attach its
mobile to LTE over the S1 network and then register
towards the IMS network over S1U/Gm interface.
Solver then starts to generate VoLTE calls with user
data based on the settings made by the user.

(e)SRVCC HANDOVER
Solver will simulate user equipment
being moved around in the network
and finally loosing LTE connection. A
handover will be performed to either
2G (AoIP) or 3G (IuCSoIP) to ensure
that the call will stay connected. To be
able to perform this test case, Solver
will simulate RNCs and BSCs that are
connected to the customers MSC.
Solver VoLTE can verify that calls
are handed-over correctly and that
the user data and the voice services
continue to perform on the new
interface.

SOLVER LOAD TESTING

CS FALLBACK
When the LTE network does not have
any support for SRVCC, voice calls
will be set up using CSFB. When an
outgoing call is placed, or incoming call
detected, the UE will disconnect from
LTE and connect to 2G/3G network
instead to ensure voice service.
DEPLOYMENT
Solver can now be operated from a central management system to control all aspects of core network
testing and simulate user behaviour. It is available as a rack-mounted server-based system for heavy load
testing, as well as in a Lite edition, which could be run on an ordinary laptop. Smaller in scope, it offers the
exact same functionality and features in an efficient and portable format. With Solver Lite, it is possible to
simulate a couple of hundreds simultaneous calls perfect for quick and easy on-site testing.and sustainable
