CONTOUR 100 SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS
DESCRIPTION
The Scott Contour 100 is an open circuit, self-contained, compressed air breathing apparatus. It consists
of a back plate, unpadded carrying harness and pneumatic system, containing a cylinder connector,
reducer, pressure gauge, whistle and demand valve.
The Contour 100 can be configured in a number of different ways with various size single cylinders.
There are also a range of attachments available including Airline (AC), Split Demand Valve Coupling
(SDC), Rescue Second Man (RSM) and Decontamination (DC).
The Contour 100 is used in conjunction with a range of composite or steel cylinders and the choice of
Vision 3, Panaseal, Panavisor or Promask PP facemask.
APPLICATIONS
The Contour 100 is specifically designed as a Industrial Fire Fighting SCBA, but is also suitable for
providing respiratory protection in any IDLH environment.

1-1/2 turns counterclockwise. Vibralert alarm on
regulator should sound
momentarily then shut-off.
Begin to breathe normally to

APPLICATION
RED LINE Wheeled Fire Extinguishers are manufactured to provide
protection for hazardous areas where the potential exists for large fires.
They can be strategically located to provide maximum protection for
a wide variety of hazards, while taking up a minimum of space, and
requiring only one trained person for operation.
These extinguishers are available with three types of ANSUL dry chemical extinguishing agents giving them the versatility to protect many types
of fire hazards.
This wheeled extinguisher is completely self-contained. An attached
nitrogen cylinder is the only pressure source required to completely
expel the fire extinguishing agent. The pressure remaining in the tank
after operation is sufficient for cleaning dry chemical from the discharge
hose.

Some typical applications include paint spray booths, dip and quench
tanks, offshore platforms, loading racks, fuel storage areas, airports, and
heavy manufacturing operations.
DESCRIPTION
Agent Tank The extinguisher tank is manufactured of welded steel
construction with two elliptical dished heads and welded circumferential
seams. The tank is designed and constructed for a working pressure of
250 psi (17.2 bar). The top of the tank is fitted with a 4 in. (10 cm) ID fill
opening. The tank head has a brass bodied safety relief with bursting
disc which will vent at approximately 425 psi (29.3 bar).
Nitrogen Cylinder and Valve The nitrogen cylinder is mounted
in a vertical position and permits easy access. Volumes are 23 cu ft
(0.65 m3) for the 150-D and 55 cu ft (1.55 m3) for the 350-D. Both sizes
are Medical E nitrogen cylinders.
Each cylinder is equipped with a conventional hand wheel nitrogen cylinder valve and visual pressure gauge. A quick-opening valve is available
as an option. Both valves are UL/ULC Iisted.
Hoses, Valves and Nozzles The extinguisher is equipped with

cadmium-plated brass couplings. The nitrogen hose assembly is 3/8 in.
(10 mm) ID with zinc-plated brass couplings.
The nozzle consists of a two-position ball valve and barrel. The nozzle
barrel is a converging-diverging aluminum type. The nozzle ball valve
assembly is chrome-plated brass.
Nameplates The nameplate is glare-resistant etched aluminum, and
contains hazard identification plus operating and maintenance
instructions.
Finish In addition to the standard surface preparation procedures, the
steel parts are primed using a corrosion resistant epoxy primer. The top
coat is a polyester epoxy paint applied as a liquid and oven or air cured.
The dry film is continuous and a minimum thickness of 5-7 mils. The fill
cap and nozzle body are black anodized for added corrosion resistance.
Temperature Standard models are equipped with nitrogen cylinders which are listed and approved for operation in environments with
temperatures between 40 F to 120 F (40 C to 48.8 C).
Low Temperature LT models: 65 F to 120 F (54 C to 48.8 C).

ANSUL Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers are designed to protect
areas where Class B (flammable liquids and gases) or Class C (energized electrical equipment) fires could occur. They may be used indoors
where winds and drafts do not affect discharge or where a clean extinguishing agent is required.

steel to provide resistance to impact, vibration and corrosion. The
steel shell has a fluted base for stability and reduced corrosion. The
aluminum shell model is sturdy, yet lightweight.

an emergency. The paint resists cracking and chipping, adding to

LIMITED WARRANTY. Except for any warranty for a particular product or part specifically stated in our
product literature, we warrant all goods sold under this Agreement against defects in materials and
workmanship for one year from shipment. In the event of such defects, we will, at our sole option and
as your exclusive remedy, repair or replace the defective product without charge, or refund the price
you have paid. In order for this warranty to be effective, you must notify us within 15 days of
discovery of the defect. You must return the defective product to us within the warranty period,
properly packaged and with insurance and transportation costs prepaid. We will reship the product to
you at our expense in the United States. This warranty does not cover defects which we determine
are because of accident, alteration, modification, negligence, misuse, abuse, failure to perform
adequate maintenance, normal wear and tear and normal maintenance. WE MAKE NO OTHER
WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND WE SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDE ANY WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NO PERSON IS AUTHORIZED TO
EXTEND ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES ON OUR BEHALF.
