AR 200
Thick Bed Mortar - Two Component
DESCRIPTION

TECHNICAL DATA

AR 200 is a two component, blend of cement

and graded sand with additives to produce
slurry/mortar to receive tiles/stones on the
floor. Designed for use with AR 200 liquid and
water.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The concrete surface must be dry, hard, sound

and free of dust and other barrier materials
such as paint, lime coatings, plaster, curing
agents, wax, polish, laitance, adhesive residues
etc., that will inhibit adhesion to the substrate.
Contaminated concrete surfaces should be
mechanically prepared, either by scabbling,
grinding or by contained shot blasting
equipment or similar, and be vacuumed clean
prior to applying AR 200. Overwatered or
otherwise weak concrete surfaces must also
be suitably prepared down to sound, solid
concrete.
NOTE: Any joints or cracks in the concrete
base where differential movement is anticipated
e.g. movement joints, should be brought
through to the finished surface. New concrete
slabs must be allowed to cure for at least
3 weeks.
MIXING

Add 3.75 litres of potable water in a clean

mixing container, then add Part B liquid 1.25
litres to the same container and mix thoroughly.
Add 50kg Part A powder to the same container
and mix thoroughly for 2 - 3 minutes to obtain
a lump free and slump resistant mortar. Mix the
material using heavy duty mixer or forced
action mixer.

Spillage of any of the component products

should be absorbed onto sand or other inert
materials and transferred to a suitable
disposable vessel. Disposal of such spillage or
empty packaging should be in accordance with
local waste disposal authority regulations.
For further information please refer to the
Material Safety Data Sheet.

AR 200 has to be applied wet on wet on to the
