COMPANY OVERVIEW
A.T. Kearney Profile

With a legacy dating back to roaring '20s Chicago, A.T. Kearney has sincebuilt a strong reputation as one of the top names in global consulting.
Focussing on strategic and operationalCEO-agenda concerns, A.T. Kearney currently serves its roster of top corporateclients over 52 offices in
37 countries worldwide.

The firm's story began in 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, when Andrew Thomas Kearney teamed up with accounting professor, James McKinsey, to
form a firm which has grown into the most prestigious name in consulting today - McKinsey [&] Company. However, lightning struck twice for
Tom Kearney, who branched off in 1939, to lend his name to what would become the second international firm he founded.

Initially focussing on the operations and manufacturing industries, A.T. Kearney built steady momentum over its first 20 years, opening a second
office in 1961. Three years later, the firm went international, opening its first foreign outpost in Dsseldorf. Tokyo followed in '72, ushering in 30+
years of both domestic and international expansion. Today, A.T. Kearney has offices in major cities across the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe
and the Middle East.

As the firm started to make waves abroad, in addition to broadening its vision, it widened the palette of services offered to clients. A.T. Kearney
now services clients in numerous industries, including automotive, communications, consumer and retail, financial institutions, government, high
technology, electronics, pharmaceuticals, health care, energy and utilities. The firm's major competency teams include supply chain
management, growth strategies, mergers, innovation and complexity, IT strategies, transformation, procurement and sustainability.

Tom Kearney built a commitment to CSR deep into A.T. Kearney's DNA-most notably accepting a call from President Franklin Roosevelt, in
1945, to lead a mission to China to help the country improve its defence in readiness for the war. Kearney was consequently awarded a US
Medal of Freedom and a Victory Medal from the Chinese government for his altruism. Today, pro bono still represents a significant component
of A.T. Kearney's commitment to CSR. These projects are aimed at making a difference, economically, socially and environmentally, to create
positive change in communities through skills and expertise.

The Buzz on Getting Hired

If you're schooled at one of Europe's top institutions and your grades are good, you probably don't even need our help, as A.T. Kearney will
come to you. During its recruitment drive, the firm will show up at the top careers fairs and cherry pick from the student body. If you're not in this
fortunate position (probably because you're waiting 'til later in your career to peak), you'll have to do things the old fashioned way and send
them your CV and a short covering letter... by email (okay, it's not that old fashioned).
The firm typically looks for applicants with MBAs, preferably augmented by a handful of years at a blue-chip firm, Fortune 500 company or
another consultancy. A.T. Kearney employs from a range of disciplines, although a background in engineering, science, business or finance
would be a distinct advantage. Even if you're armed with the grades and the CV, successful applicants will need top analytical skills,
entrepreneurship, creativity and exemplary communication skills, to stand a chance of securing a position. You've got all of these? Well, read
on...
The hiring process is broken into three stages. The first round of which is designed to measure your business acumen and delve into your
personality and experience. Navigate this initial stage and you'll be invited back for an hour long interview with one of the firm's principles. The
final hurdle will invariably be in shape of an interview with a vice president. If you've demonstrated you have what it takes then upon receiving
an offer, you'll be assigned a mentor, who will provide you with all the advice and help you could need.
