Market Operations and Technology is responsible for the operation and execution of a variety of

activities within finance operations and technology operations. Operating as a core part of the
technology team, you will work on leading technology platforms which are critical to the group's
success. We currently have an excellent role for a Webmethods Support Analyst to join our
technology team based in Manila on a permanent, contract or consultant basis.
In this role you will be providing effective second level proactive support for a variety of applications
with key focus on WebMethods Middleware and other technologies, both in-house and vendorsupplied. You will be part of an established application support team who provide 24*5 onsite support.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing day-to-day support for a variety of applications, within the middle and back office
initially
Providing WebMethods expertise function to support team in managing issue resolution
Managing underlying investigations on the back of issues affecting WebMethods components
and reducing the dependency on Level 3/development team(s)
Work on expanding the knowledge around WebMethods to the rest of the team through KT
sessions and proper documentation
Identification and tracking of problems, translating into full resolution
Working with development teams and vendors to ensure successful release of system
upgrades and ensure high level of quality assurance in the production environment
Managing small process improvement or adaptive or preventative maintenance projects on a
day to day basis
Providing weekend on-call cover as well as weekend release & health check support on a
roster basis.
Ideally you will have:
Experience in banking middle and back office technology environments or similar highdemand IT operation models, understanding the trade flow
Ability to assess critical issues and escalate when needed on a timely manner
Ability to deliver quality support via sound technical experience
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong appreciation of key business drivers and the IT impact upon the business
The ability to work well under pressure, providing timely and accurate solutions to systems
problems
Strong commitment to provide delivery, follow up leading to completion of tasks
Self-motivated, able work independently and within a team
Good multi-tasking skills and excellent time management skills
Fluent in both spoken and written English
Technical Requirements:

Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science or its equivalent


Minimum 2 years experience in WebMethods Middleware, either in support or in development
role, or both
Experience in other middleware technologies eg. WebSphere MQ, JMS, Pentaho
Experience with ITIL processes and tools e.g. Remedy
Experience with either GoldenSource, SYN or Calypso will be very much regarded
Experience with Oracle, MSSQL, Sybase database technologies
Experience with UNIX/Linux
Experience with Java technologies
