Regular labs: begin the weeks of:
Jan. 12 (Week Even = even # lab section)
Jan. 19 (Week Odd = odd # lab section)

Lab manual
Student lab notebook
Labcoat is strongly recommended
Please be advised: Each lab bears a weight of 3% (one
grade point). Missing a lab without a valid reason will
result in a mark of 0 on that lab. Missing more than one lab
will result in failing the course.

complete the safety video quiz (Avenue)
If you completed the lab safety quiz in Sept. 2014
you do not need to repeat it!

Tutorials will focus ONLY on posted tutorial
questions, and related concepts.
Questions about labs, etc., may be addressed
in the help centre or office hours, and will not
be handled in the tutorial.
Attending tutorial is strongly recommended! We
dont take attendance, but students who are
successful in developing their skills do attend.

Each class section has their own folder;
This is the preferred place to contact your instructor.
If you need to contact your instructor about a private
matter (not course content), please use their McMaster
email, and put 1AA3 in the title.
HOWEVER: Please post all questions about course
content in Avenue.
We have an Avenue TA who will spend approx. 2 h/week
answering questions in Avenue, in addition to the
instructors.

8. Classes
Please attend your scheduled class. All
sections are full that means if you attend a
section that is not yours, you are taking the seat
of someone who is scheduled to be there. L
Classes will not operate with students sitting on
the floor or the stairs.
All instructors will be using the same class
presentation notes. Skeleton notes (print & bring
to class) will be posted in advance of each topic;
full notes will be posted at the end of each topic.

iClicker grades will be recorded only for students
attending in their registered section.
Register your iClicker with your MACID!
iClicker grades are awarded on a percentage basis, and
thus we will not administer exemptions for a missed
class, failed battery, forgotten or lost iClicker, etc.:
