WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE

ABOUT THE COLLEGE

If you think that internet has changed your life, think again. The IoT
is about to change it all over again.

Kongu Engineering College (KEC) was established in the year 1984.


Approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai
the institution has been accorded autonomous status from year 2007. The
Institution has completed 29 years of dedicated and excellent service in the
field of technical education. The college is well known for its technical
excellence, modern facilities, record of performance with excellent results
and enterprising students. The college has got NBA accreditation for UG
programmes, Best Engineering College award and Best Principal award. The
Institution has an active Industry- Institute Partnership Cell to interact with
industries. The institution has established a Technology Business Incubator
(TBI) supported by DST, Government of India in its campus.

The main objective of the workshop is to make the aspiring engineers acquainted with the conceptual as well as practical knowledge
of IoT- Internet of Things. It is one of the Latest Technology which is
about to change our lifestyle and the technology we use in coming
years.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Student


Branch of Kongu Engineering College is actively involved in promoting
Technical aspects of Engineering. It has been awarded the Best Student
branch Activity Award for 6 consecutive years. It conducts various
programmes related to enriching the skills of students. IEEE Women in
Engineering (WIE), an affinity group of IEEE SB at KEC is dedicated to
promote women engineers and scientists and inspiring girls around the world
to follow their academic interests to a career in engineering. The mission of
IEEE WIE is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical
disciplines.

COLLEGE LOCATION
The college is situated at Perundurai on the National Highway (NH 47) about
80 km from Coimbatore and 20 km from Erode. It is well connected by air,
road and rail.
